The stability of testing hypotheses is *** from the usual tests measured by Neyman-Pearson lemma,the regret and correction of the tests are *** the decision is made based on the observations X1,X2,...,Xn,one more piece of datum Xn+1 is picked and the test is done again in the same way but based on X1,X2,...,Xn,Xn+*** are three situations;(i) The previous decision is right but the new decision is wrong; (ii) the previous decision is wrong but the new decision is right; (iii) both of them are right or both of them are *** course,it is desired that the probability of the occurrence of (i) is as small as possible and the probability of the occurrence of (ii) is as large as *** the sample size is sometimes not chosen very precisely after the type Ⅰ error and the type Ⅱ error are determined in practice,it seems more urgent to consider the above *** optimal plans are also given.

This article deals with the case of the failure-censored constant-stress partially accelerated life test （CSPALT） for highly reliable materials or products assuming the Pareto distribution of the second kind. The maximum likelihood （ML） method is used to estimate the parameters of the CSPALT model. The performance of ML estimators is investigated via their mean square error. Also, the average confidence interval length （IL） and the associated co- verage probability （CP） are obtained. Moreover, optimum CSPALT plans that determine the optimal proportion of the test units al- located to each stress are developed. Such optimum test plans minimize the generalized asymptotic variance （GAV） of the ML estimators of the model parameters. For illustration, Monte Carlo simulation studies are given and a real life example is provided.

Survival of a company in today's competitive business environment depends mainly on its supply *** adequate supply chain gives a competitive edge to a ***,which is the initial stage of a supply chain,can be made efficient by making an appropriate selection of *** vendor selection results not only in reduced purchasing costs,decreased production lead time,increased customer satisfaction but also in improved corporate *** general,the vendor selection problem is a multi-objective decision-making problem that involves some quantitative and qualitative ***,we have considered a multi-objective ven-dor selection problem(MOV SP)with three multiple objective goals:minimization of net ordering price,minimization of rejected units and minimization of late delivered *** most of the cases,information about the price of a unit,percentage of rejected units,percentage of late delivered units,vendor rating value and vendor quota flexibil-ity may not be known precisely due to some *** this paper,imprecision in input information is handled by the concept of a simulation technique,where the parameter follows the uniform ***,stochastic,a-cut and ranking function approaches are used to get the crisp value of the simulated data *** four differ-ent algorithms,namely-fuzzy programming,goal programming,lexicographic goal programming and D1-distance algorithm,have been used for solving the *** last,three different types of simulated data sets have been used to illustrate the work.

Two nan-simplex-type pivotal algorithms are given in the paper which realize constructively the Farkas Lemma and the strong duality theorem of the linear programming on purely combinatorial pivoting rnles, i. e. they involve no process of minimum-ratio-test and work purely on smallest subscript principle in accordance with the signs of the quantities concerned.

This paper addresses the present-day context of Systems Engineering, revisiting and setting up an updated framework for the SIMILAR process in order to use it to engineer the contemporary systems. The contemporary world is crowded of large interdisciplinary complex systems made of other systems, personnel, hardware, software, information, processes, and facilities. An integrated holistic approach is crucial to develop these systems and take proper account of their multifaceted nature and numerous interrelationships. As the system＇s complexity and extent grow, the number of parties involved （stakeholders and shareholders） usually also raises, bringing to the interaction a considerable amount of points of view, skills, responsibilities, and interests. The Systems Engineering approach aims to tackle the complex and interdisciplinary whole of those socio-technical systems, providing the means to enable their successful realization. Its exploitation in our modern world is assuming an increasing relevance noticeable by emergent standards, academic papers, international conferences, and post-graduate programmes in the field. This work aims to provide ＂the picture＂ of modern Systems Engineering, and to update the context of the SIMILAR process model in order to use this renewed framework to engineer the challenging contemporary systems. The emerging trends in the field are also pointed-out with particular reference to the Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.

An important property that any lifetime model should satisfy is scale *** this paper,a new scale-invariant quasi-inverse Lindley(QIL)model is presented and *** basic properties,including moments,quantiles,skewness,kurtosis,and Lorenz curve,have been *** addition,the well-known dynamic reliability measures,such as failure rate(FR),reversed failure rate(RFR),mean residual life(MRL),mean inactivity time(MIT),quantile residual life(QRL),and quantile inactivity time(QIT)are *** FR function considers the decreasing or upside-down bathtub-shaped,and the MRL and median residual lifetime may have a bathtub-shaped *** parameters of the model are estimated by applying the maximum likelihood method and the expectation-maximization(EM)*** EM algorithm is an iterative method suitable for models with a latent variable,for example,when we have mixture or competing risk models.A simulation study is then conducted to examine the consistency and efficiency of the estimators and compare *** simulation study shows that the EM approach provides a better estimation of the ***,the proposed model is fitted to a reliability engineering data set along with some *** Akaike information criterion(AIC),Kolmogorov-Smirnov(K-S),Cramer-von Mises(CVM),and Anderson Darling(AD)statistics are used to compare the considered models.

In recefit years, people find that someimportant statistics can be expressed as the integrals with respect to it. In this paper we shalldiscuss the asymptotic behavior of such integrals.
