This article describes the forensic odontological analysis of the events of the 2015 Nepal *** identifies the problems encountered in the aftermath,lessons learned,and prospective future advances aimed at reducing the subjectivity in disaster victim identification(DVI).During a crisis,dental practitioners,particularly forensic odontologists,can make a substantial contribution to DVI,as highlighted in this *** also promotes best practices in forensic dentistry that may be used by anyone in situations with few resources or people to deal with comparable scenarios.

The bone marrow contains a heterogeneous milieu of cells, including macrophages, which are key cellular mediators for resolving infection and inflammation. Macrophages are most well known for their ability to phagocytose foreign bodies or apoptotic cells to maintain homeostasis; however, little is known about their function in the bone microenvironment. In the current study, we investigated the in vitro interaction of murine macrophages and bone marrow stromal cells （BMSCs）, with focus on the juxtacrine induction of IL-6 signaling and the resultant effect on BMSC migration and growth. The juxtacrine interaction of primary mouse macrophages and BMSCs activated IL-6 signaling in the co-cultures, which subsequently enhanced BMSC migration and increased BMSC numbers. BMSCs and macrophages harvested from IL-6 knockout mice revealed that IL-6 signaling was essential for enhancement of BMSC migration and increased BMSC numbers via juxtacrine interactions. BMSCs were the main contributor of IL-6 signaling~ and hence activation of the IL-6/ gp130/STAT3 pathway. Meanwhile, macrophage derived IL-6 remained important for the overall production of IL-6 protein in the co-cultures. Taken together, these findings show the function of macmphages as co-inducers of migration and growth of BMSCs, which could directly influence bone formation and turnover.

Objective:To determine the preventive effects of curcumin on peroxidative damage under two bed rest ***:20 healthy male(10 with curcumin and 10 without curcumin ) volunteers were *** were studied before,during,and just on bed rest conditions at -6°head-down-tilt(HDT) bed rest and bed rest position(BD) for 10 *** measured the salivary and serum oxidative markers such as Malonaldehyde,8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine, vitamin C and E just before HDT & *** HDT & BD experiment,and in course time of recovery with curcumin and without curcumin ***:The values of serum and salivary vitamin C & E showed statistically significant decrease in both bed rest conditions as compared to those of the conditions before and during the recovery ***,these levels were not significantly lowered in curcumin groups in contrast to the groups without curcumin (P>0.05).MDA and 8-OHdG levels showed significant increase in simulating microgravity and zero gravity conditions as compared to those before and in the recovery ***,these levels were lower in curcumin groups in contrast to the groups without curcumin(P<0.05).Serum and salivary correlation analysis revealed a strong and highly significant correlation for MDA. vitamin C & E and 8 dihydro-2 deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG) in the conditions before,during and in the recovery periods in both bed rest *** saliva collection is easy and noninvasive, measurements of salivary marker levels may prove to be useful in the space research. BACKGROUND One of the main characteristics of oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is that it metastasizes to cervical lymph nodes frequently with a high degree of local invasiveness.A primary feature of malignant tumors is their penetration of neighboring tissues,such as lymphatic and blood arteries,due to the tumor cells'capacity to break down the extracellular matrix(ECM).Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)constitute a family of proteolytic enzymes that facilitate tissue remo-deling and the degradation of the ***-9 and MMP-13 belong to the group of extracellular matrix degrading enzymes and their expression has been studied in OSCC because of their specific ***-13,a collagenase family member,is thought to play an essential role in the MMP activation cascade by breaking down the fibrillar collagens,whereas MMP-9 is thought to accelerate the growth of *** MMP-13 expression has been associated with tumor behavior and patient prognosis in a number of malignant *** authors wish to thank Jadhav KB for his valuable opinion during the preparation of the manuscript.
