EVs （electric vehicles） have been widely accepted as a promising solution for reducing oil consumption, air pollution and greenhouse gas emission. The number of EVs is growing very fast over the years. However, the high adoption of EVs will impose a burden on the power system, especially for neighborhood level network. In this paper, we propose a mixed control framework for EV charging scheduling to mitigate its impact on the power network. A metric for modeling customer＇s satisfaction is also proposed to compare the user satisfaction for different algorithms. The impacts of the proposed algorithms on EV charging cost, EV penetration and peak power reduction are evaluated with real data for a neighborhood level network. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

Anhedonia, the presence of diminished pleasure or decreased motivation for rewards is considered one of the core symptoms of depression. Studies have shown that anhedonia and reduced reward learning predict a poor prognosis with a higher prevalence of treatment failure among patients. Several mechanisms have been implicated in the onset and progression of depression;furthermore, an important amount of evidence supports not only the importance of the reward circuitry in the development of depressive anhedonia but also, that it is closely related with the presence of inflammation. In the current paper we show that 500 ul carrageenan administration in the right hind paw after deafferentation surgery leads to anhedonia, which is evident by a decrease in saccharine consumption in a two-bottle choice test;these findings suggest that carrageenan mediated inflammation is a reliable model of anhedonia that could lead to a better understanding of the immune-neural axis in motivation.

This paper introduces a new methodology for the damage assessment of existing-transmission structures using six layers, zero order Sugeno model. The model is a hybrid fuzzy-neural system that combines the power of neural networks and fuzzy systems. It is a learning expert system that finds the parameters of the fuzzy sets and fuzzy rules by exploiting approximation techniques from neural networks. The condition ratings of the structural components are determined based on visually observed deterioration-symptoms and the severity of those symptoms. A supervised learning process using training data and expert opinions is used to develop the expert system rules and determine the ratings of the structural components. For the learning from training data, the model uses a combination of least-square estimator and gradient descent method. A sequential least square algorithm is used to determine the weighting factors that minimized the errors. A test case is given to illustrate the power of the proposed fuzzy-neural system. It is concluded that the Sugeno model＇s ability to tune the parameters based on the training data makes it superior to the rules produced by an expert in the conventional fuzzy logic systems.

AIM： To evaluate the usefulness of three-dimensional computed tomography （3DCT） in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal carcinoma. METHODS： Seventy-two patients with colorectal cancer who underwent curative operation at our hospital were enrolled in this study. They were classified into two groups by operative procedures. Sixteen patients underwent laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopic group （LG）, while 56 patients underwent conventional open surgery, open group （og）. At our institution, contrast-enhanced CT is routinely performed as part of intra-abdominal screening and the 3D images of the major regional vessels are described. We have previously described about the preoperative visualization of the inferior mesenteric artery （IMA） by 3DCT. This time we newly acquired 3D images of the superior mesenteric artery （SMA）/superior mesenteric vein （SMV）, ileocecal artery （ICA）, middle colic artery （MCA）, and inferior mesenteric vein （IMV）. We have compared our two study groups with regard to five items, including clinical anastomotic leakage. We have discussed here the role of 3DCT in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal carcinoma. RESULTS： The mean length of the incision in LG was 4.6254-0.89 cm, which was significantly shorter than that in og （P〈0.001）. The association between ICA and SMV and SMA was described in the right-sided colectomy. The preoperative imaging of IMA and IMV was created in the rectosigmoidectomy. There was no significant difference in anastomotic leakage between the two groups, but no patients in LG experienced anastomotic leakage.CONCLUSION： Most of the patients are satisfied with the shorter incisional length following laparoscopic surgery. Preoperative visualization of the major regional vessels may be helpful for the secure treatment of the anastomosis in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal carcinoma.
