A HYBRID MODEL OF KNOWLEDGE management FOR NEW SERVICE DEVELOPMENT

Although many theories regarding the implementation of knowledge management （KM） in organizations have been proposed and studied, most applications tend to stand alone without incorporating the business processes. Different categories of knowledge provide different benefits and how to integrate various categories of KM into a hybrid approach as an effective KM manner remains strategically important, and yet is still understudied. Therefore, in this paper a hybrid model that integrates principal KM applications for new service development （NSD） and the measurement of the resulting f＇mancial benefits have been developed. The proposed KM model incorporates newsgroups, knowledge forums, knowledge asset management and knowledge application processes as a hybrid means for sharing organizational knowledge along two axes, explicit vs. implicit and individual vs. collective. One of the largest management consulting companies in Taiwan, China, whose process model of NSD was standing alone with KM applications, was selected for the case study. A set of hybrid KM processes was developed to implement the proposed KM model, and it illustrates an application with greater financial benefits for integrating hybrid KM practices into the business process. Based on knowledge value added （KVA） validation, the proposed KM model provides a new operating system for sharing NSD knowledge within an organization. Through the case study by measuring the achieved financial results, the proposed KM model is found to provide an exclusive hybrid platform with an empirical process model to address innovative approaches and practical values of KM within an organization.

Well-formed parenthesis （w.f.p.） strings can be represented by different types of integer sequences including P-sequences, X-sequences, and T-sequences. In this paper, we introduce a new class of sequences called L-sequences which comes from the so-called RD-sequences for representing k- ary trees. We then search out the relationships among these representations and deal with the problems of ranking and unranking of w.f.p. strings in lexicographic order under these diverse representations. A result shows that the ranking and unranking of w.f.p. strings can be done in O（n） time for all such representations, where n is the number of pairs of balanced parentheses.

This study is grounded in a theoretical framework that assesses the four constructs,namely external environment,readiness,firm size,employee commitment,to the performance of ISO 9000 certification at the firm *** empirical analysis demonstrates three key findings:（1） External environment often drives firms to adopt ISO 9000,and it further associated with the organizational performances.（2） Within the framework,readiness emerges as the strongest factor for the value for ISO 9000.（3） Size and employee commitment are also significantly and positively contribute to the organizational *** findings indicate the usefulness of the proposed research model and theoretical framework for studying ISO 9000 *** also provide insights for both business managers and policy-makers.

Comparative investigation of coal-and oil-fired boilers based on emission factors,ozone and secondary organic aerosol formation potentials of VOCs

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)are the important precursors of the tropospheric ozone(O3)and secondary organic aerosols(SOA),both of which are known to harm human health and disrupt the earth’s climate *** this study,VOC emission factors,O3 and SOA formation potentials were estimated for two types of industrial boilers:coal-fired boilers(n=3)and oil-fired boilers(n=3).Results showed that EVOCs concentrations were more than nine times higher for oil-fire d boilers compared to those for coal-fired *** factors ofΣVOCs were found to be higher for oil-fired boilers(9.26-32.83 mg-VOC/kg)than for coal-fired boilers(1.57-4.13 mg-VOC/kg).Alkanes and aromatics were obtained as the most abundant groups in coal-fired boilers,while oxygenated organics and aromatics were the most contributing groups in oil-fired ***,n-hexane and o-ethyl toluene were the abundant VOC species in coal-fired boiler emissions,whereas toluene was the most abundant VOC species emitted from oil-fired boilers.O3 and SOA formation potentials were found 12 and 18 times,respectively,higher for oil-fired than for coal-fired *** OFP ranged from 3.99 to 11.39 mg-O3/kg for coal-fired *** oil-fired boilers,total OFP ranged from 36.16 to 131.93 mg-O3/***,total secondary organic aerosol potential(SOAP)ranged from 65.4 to 122.5 mg-SOA/kg and 779.9 to 2252.5 mg-SOA/kg for the coal-fired and oil-fired boilers,respectively.

Project risks come mainly from the future uncertainties,and new product and service development projects possessing the most uncertainty and therefore the highest ***,if the project team has gained experiences from previous similar projects,the risk of the project drastically *** other words,an inverse correlation exists between member experiences and project ***,the guiding principle would be to assign an experienced member to execute familiar work for that *** study aims to establish a mathematical model that uses member experience to minimize project *** model assigns members with different experiences to the most suitable tasks to minimize project risk,and thus maximize project success rate under constraints of project cost and communication *** experimental case is used to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed model,and results indicated that,under cost and communication complexity constraints,project uncertainty can truly be minimized by assigning the adequate member to the suitable task.

Governing Green Suppy Chain: A Transaction Cost Perspective

This project intends to （1） examine the current practices of green collaboration in Taiwan and the Unites States, and （2） to develop and test a theoretical model based on Transaction Cost Economics （TCE）. Unlike previous TCE studies in the supply chain management literature that primarily examines the relationships between transaction attributes （asset specificity, risk, frequency） and make-buy decision, this project focuses on how managers could operationalize two governance mechanisms （contractual clauses and relational adaptation） to enhance the effectiveness of green collaboration. Data were collected from 205 manufacturing plants in Taiwan and USA to test the model. The results reveal the relative effectiveness of the two primary governance mechanisms, contract and relational adaptation;this is an important issue that previous TCE studies fail to address. The results also provide the mangers with the guidelines of utilizing both mechanisms, which would definitely be helpful to the implementation of green initiatives.

This socialized environment among educated and developed people causes themto focusmore on their appearance and health,which turns them towards medical-related treatments,leading us to discuss anti-aging treatment methods for each age group,particularly for urban people who are interested in *** anti-aging therapies are used to address the alterations brought on by aging in human life without the need for surgery or negative *** anti-aging therapies such as microdermabrasion or dermabrasion,laser resurfacing anti-aging skin treatments,chemical peels,dermal fillers for aged skin,and botox injections are considered in this *** on the criteria of safety risk,investment cost,customer happiness,and side effects,the optimal alternative is *** a result,a NormalWiggly Hesitant Pythagorean Fuzzy Set(NWHPFS)is constructed and used in Multi-Criteria Decision-Making(MCDM)using traditional wavy mathematical *** entropy approach is utilized to determine weight values,and the Normal Wiggly Hesitant Pythagorean-VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(NWHPF-VIKOR)method is utilized to rank alternatives using MCDM *** analysis and comparative analysis were performed to ensure the robustness and reliability of the proposed *** smart final choice will undoubtedly assist Decision Makers(DM)in making the right judgments,and the MCDM approach will undoubtedly assist individuals in understanding the medicine.

Food Waste(FW)is a pressing environmental concern that affects every country *** one-third of the food that is produced ends up as waste,contributing to the carbon ***,the FW must be properly treated to reduce environmental *** study evaluates a few available Food Waste Treatment(FWT)technologies,such as anaerobic digestion,composting,landfill,and incineration,which are widely used.A Bipolar Picture Fuzzy Set(BPFS)is proposed to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty that arise when converting a real-world problem to a mathematical model.A novel Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation-Stable Preference Ordering Towards Ideal Solution(CRITIC-SPOTIS)approach is developed to objectively analyze FWT selection based on thirteen criteria covering the industry’s technical,environmental,and entrepreneurial *** CRITIC method is used for the objective analysis of the importance of each criterion in FWT *** SPOTIS method is adopted to rank the alternative hassle-free,following the *** proposed model offers a rank reversal-free model,i.e.,the rank of the alternatives remains unaffected even after the addition or removal of an *** addition,comparative and sensitivity analyses are performed to ensure the reliability and robustness of the proposed model and to validate the proposed result.

This research aims to analyze the cross-strait co-opetitive strategy between Taiwan and the mainland wafer-based solar cell industry from the national competitiveness perspective. The Analytical Hierachy Process （AHP） approach and TOPSIS anaylsis will be utilized to collect the industry data from the cross-strait solar cell companies. The constructs of competitiveness will be evaluated in terms of factor of production, demand condition, related and supporting industry, industry competitive structure, government and change of external environment, thereby depicting the development difference of the cross-strait solar cell industry. The results reveals the criteria of international and domestic demand, international and domestic procurement, capital resource, and governmental procurement are both emphasized in the cross-strait solar cell development, and Taiwan and the mainland solar cell middle stream companies will aim to transform toward the downstream users and upstream supplier in the future, respectively. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s companies will utilize the cost leadership strategy in comparison with the focus strategy of China’s companies. A strategic alliance model will be probably created between the cross-strait solar cell companies.
