Interleukin-11(IL-11)is a member of the IL-6 family of cytokines.1 IL-11 activates its target cells via binding to the IL-11 receptor(IL-11R),which also exists in soluble forms generated by proteolytic cleavage(sIL-11R,required for trans-signaling).2 Formation of the IL-11/IL-11R complex leads to the recruitment and homodimerization of two molecules of the signal-transducingβ-receptor gp130,which then activates intracellular signaling cascades,including the Jak/STAT,PI3K and ERK pathways.

We introduce two-beam phase correlation spectroscopy(2B-ΦCS)as a label-free technique to measure the dynamics of flowing particles;e.g.,in vitro or in vivo blood flow.2B-ΦCS combines phase imaging with correlation spectroscopy,using the intrinsic refractive index contrast of particles against the fluid background in correlation *** method starts with the acquisition of a time series of phase images of flowing particles using partially coherent point-diffraction digital holographic ***,phase fluctuations from two selected circular regions in the image series are correlated to determine the concentration and flow velocity of the particles by fitting pair correlation curves with a physical model.2B-ΦCS is a facile procedure when using a microfluidic channel,as shown by the measurements on flowing yeast microparticles,polymethyl methacrylate microparticles,and diluted rat *** the latter experiment,the concentration and average diameter of rat blood cells were determined to be(4.7±1.9)×10^(6)μL^(-1)and 4.6±0.4μm,*** further analyzed the flow of mainly red blood cells in the tail vessels of live zebrafish *** and venous flow velocities were measured as290±110μm s^(-1)and 120±50μm s^(-1),*** envision that our technique will find applications in imaging transparent organisms and other areas of the life sciences and biomedicine.

Ningbo and its surrounding area is the forefront in the rapid economic development in the Yangtse delta, and the main production area for food supplies, cotton, edible oil and hemp; and at the same time, is the main area for wetland protection in Zhejiang Province. Our objectives were to quantify land cover change in Ningbo and its surrounding area from 1987 to 2000 and to analyze the causative factors of the change. Using 30-m resolution Landsat TM/ETM+ data and maximum likelihood classifica- tion method, we classified the study area into six land cover types: forest, agriculture, urban, freshwater, seawater and bottomland. The research results showed that significant changes in land cover occurred in the study area, and that agriculture and urban land cover change dominated most of the land cover change and were main causes for the changes of other types with human activities, such as urbanization, industrialization, etc. being the main factor while it was not very obvious whether climatic conditions have any role in the land cover changes. Agriculture, bottomland and other nature dominated land cover types are undergoing signifi- cant changes due to industrialization and urbanization, which threaten the stabilization of the environment. The study conclusion called for finding reasonable ways to solve the problems between land cover change and land use.

This paper discusses the Cauchy problem of elliptic-elliptic-type Davey-Stewartson systems with zero-order dissipation on R^2. Making use of the Fourier spectral projector, together with a long time comparison between the solutions to the Davey-Stewartson systems and to an auxiliary problem, we prove that the global attractor in H^1 （R^2） for the addressed Davey-Stewartson systems is a compact subset of H^2（R^2）, and thus reveal the asymptotic smoothing effect of the solutions for the systems.

The multiple lump solutions method is employed for the purpose of obtaining multiple soliton solutions for the generalized Bogoyavlensky-Konopelchenko(BK)*** solutions obtained contain first-order,second-order,and third-order wave *** the critical point,the second-order derivative and Hessian matrix for only one point is investigated,and the lump solution has one maximum ***’s semi-inverse variational principle(SIVP)is also used for the generalized BK *** major cases are studied,based on two different ansatzes using the *** physical phenomena of the multiple soliton solutions thus obtained are then analyzed and demonstrated in the figures below,using a selection of suitable parameter *** method should prove extremely useful for further studies of attractive physical phenomena in the fields of heat transfer,fluid dynamics,etc.

In this paper, inertia is added to a simplified neuron system with time delay. The stability of the trivial equilibrium of the network is analyzed and the condition for the existence of Hopf bifurcation is obtained by discussing the associated characteristic equation. Hopf bifurcation is investigated by using the perturbation scheme without the norm form theory and the center manifold theorem. Numerical simulations are performed to validate the theoretical results and chaotic behaviors are observed. Phase plots, time history plots, power spectra, and Poincaré section are presented to confirm the chaoticity. To the best of our knowledge, the chaotic behavior in this paper is new to the previously published works.

Decomposition of almost Poisson structure of non-self-adjoint dynamical systems

Non-self-adjoint dynamical systems, e.g., nonholonomic systems, can admit an almost Poisson structure, which is formulated by a kind of Poisson bracket satisfying the usual properties except for the Jacobi identity. A general theory of the almost Poisson structure is investigated based on a decompo- sition of the bracket into a sum of a Poisson one and an almost Poisson one. The corresponding rela- tion between Poisson structure and symplectic structure is proved, making use of Jacobiizer and symplecticizer. Based on analysis of pseudo-symplectic structure of constraint submanifold of Chaplygin’s nonholonomic systems, an almost Poisson bracket for the systems is constructed and decomposed into a sum of a canonical Poisson one and an almost Poisson one. Similarly, an almost Poisson structure, which can be decomposed into a sum of canonical one and an almost "Lie-Poisson" one, is also constructed on an affine space with torsion whose autoparallels are utilized to describe the free motion of some non-self-adjoint systems. The decomposition of the almost Poisson bracket di- rectly leads to a decomposition of a dynamical vector field into a sum of usual Hamiltionian vector field and an almost Hamiltonian one, which is useful to simplifying the integration of vector fields.

相关分析是研究数据模式和预测的有效机制。在看似无关的数据中建立相关性可得到许多有趣发现。提出一种算法,用于量化相关性理论并得出一个直观且更精确的相关系数。为计算配对值之间相关性,提出一项预测指标,称为一般秩相关系数。其满足预测指标的5个基本标准:样本规模的独立性、数值介于-1与1之间、测量单调性程度、对异常值不敏感性、直观演示。此外,使用实时数据集和随机数模拟实验对该指标进行验证。同时,展示了所提方程的数学推导过程,并与斯皮尔曼等级相关系数比较。结果表明,该指标在所有预测度量标准上均优于现存指标。
