BACKGROUND Patients with keloids who receive radiotherapy(RT)after surgery can develop refractory wounds that cannot be healed by the patient's own repair *** chronic wounds are uneven and complex due to persistent abscess and *** external intervention,they can easily result in local tissue necrosis or,in severe cases,large area tissue resection,amputation,and even *** SUMMARY This article describes the use of hydrogen to treat a 42-year-old female patient with a chronic wound on her left *** patient had a skin graft that involved implanting a dilator under the skin of her left shoulder,and then transferring excess skin from her shoulder onto scar tissue on her *** skin grafting was followed by two rounds of RT,after which the shoulder wound had difficulty *** six months,the patient was treated with 2 h of hydrogen inhalation(HI)therapy per day,in addition to application of sterile gauze on the wound and periodic *** also performed one deep,large,sharp debridement to enlarge the wound *** wound healed completely within 6 mo of beginning the HI *** After HI therapy,the patient showed superior progress in reepithelialization and wound repair,with eventual wound closure in 6 mo,in comparison with the previous failures of hyperbaric oxygen and recombinant bovine basic fibroblast growth factor *** work showed that HI therapy could be a new strategy for wound healing that is cleaner,more convenient,and less expensive than other therapies,as well as easily accessible for further application in clinical wound care.

AIM:To evaluate the relationship between gene polymorphism(BclI,ER22/23EK,N363S)and the occurrence,progression and sensitivity to glucocorticoid of lacrimal gland benign lymphoepithelial lesion(LGBLEL).METHODS:Clinical peripheral blood samples of 52 LGBLEL patients and 10 normal volunteers were collected for DNA extraction and polymerase chain reaction sequencing to analyze single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)*** lacrimal tissues of LGBLEL were surgically removed and made into paraffin sections for subsequent hematoxylin-eosin(HE)and Masson staining *** duration of disease and hormone use of LGBLEL patients from diagnosis to surgery were also *** Meta-analysis follows PRISMA guidelines to conducted a systematic review of human studies investigating the relationship between the NR3C1 BclI polymorphism and glucocorticoids(GCs)***:There was no association between ER22/23EK or N363S and the occurrence of LGBLEL or GCs sensitivity(P>0.05);BclI GC genotype was closely related to GCs resistance(P=0.03)as is the minor allele C(P=0.0017).The HE staining and Masson staining showed that the GC genotype of BclI remarkably slowed down the disease progression and reduced fibrosis(P<0.05),especially for GCs-dependent patients(P<0.0001).Meta-analysis showed that BclI was not significantly associated with GCs ***:The LGBLEL patients who carry the NR3C1 BclI allele C may be more sensitive to GCs and associated with lower fibrosis and slower disease *** results may guide the clinical treatment strategy for the LGBLEL patients.

　　To assay antiviral effects of the polysaccharide and its separated products from Sargassumfusiforme on HSV-1 and CVB3 and their antiviral mechanism, the antiviral effects of all samples on HSV-1 and CVB3 and their cytotoxicity on vero cells were studied by CPE and MTT method. Antiviral mechanism of two samples was briefly studied by four different ways. The cytotoxicity of samples on vero cells was not detected (CC＞5000 μg/mL). All samples except PSJ had obviously HSV-1 inhibitory effect. Antiviral activities of them were increasingly strengthened with raising their *** activities of F1, F2 and F4 were better than that of ACV, and antiviral activities of all samples on CVB3 were better than ribavirin injection. Fi, F2 and F4 had remarkable anti-CVB3 activity. The experiment showed that polysaccharide was able to not only kill the above viruses directly but also restrain them by getting into cell or absorbing on cells.……

Impact of interferon-free antivirus therapy on lipid profiles in patients with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1b

AIM To investigate the influence of interferon-free antivirus therapy on lipid profiles in chronic hepatitis C virus genotype 1b(HCV1b) *** Interferon-free antiviral agents were used to treat 276 patients with chronic HCV1 b infection, and changes in serum lipids of those who achieved sustained virologic response(SVR) were examined. The treatment regimen included 24 wk of daclatasvir plus asunaprevir(DCV + ASV) or 12 wk of sofosbuvir plus ledipasvir(SOF + LDV). SVR was achieved in 121(85.8%) of 141 patients treated with DCV + ASV and 132(97.8%) of 135 patients treated with SOF + LDV. In the two patient groups(DCV + ASV-SVR and SOF + LDV-SVR), serum total cholesterol(TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), and triglycerides were measured at baseline during treatment and at 4 and 12 wk after treatment. Then, longitudinal changes in lipid profiles were *** Serum levels of TC, LDL-C, and HDL-C were significantly increased throughout the observation period in both the DCV + ASV-SVR and SOF + LDV-SVR groups. During antivirus treatment, the increases in TC and LDL-C were significantly greater in the SOF + LDVSVR group than in the DCV + ASV-SVR group(P < 0.001). At 4 and 12 wk after the therapy, serum levels of TC and LDL-C were similar between the two groups and were significantly greater than those at baseline. Approximately 75%-80% of the increase in TC was derived from an increased LDL-C. In multiple regression analysis, the difference in therapy protocol(DCA + ASV or SOF + LDV) was an independent predictor that was significantly associated with the increase in TC and LDL-C at 4 wk of *** Serum cholesterol significantly increased during SOF + LDV treatment. After treatment, HCV elimination was associated with a similar increase in cholesterol regardless of the therapy protocol.

Recently,with the normalization of non-face-to-face online environments in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,the possibility of cyberattacks through endpoints has *** endpoint devices are managed meticulously to prevent cyberattacks and ensure timely responses to potential security *** particular,because telecommuting,telemedicine,and teleeducation are implemented in uncontrolled environments,attackers typically target vulnerable endpoints to acquire administrator rights or steal authentication information,and reports of endpoint attacks have been increasing *** persistent threats(APTs)using various novel variant malicious codes are a form of a sophisticated ***,conventional commercial antivirus and anti-malware systems that use signature-based attack detectionmethods cannot satisfactorily respond to such *** this paper,we propose a method that expands the detection coverage inAPT attack *** this model,an open-source threat detector and log collector are used synergistically to improve threat detection *** the scope of attack log collection through interworking between highly accessible open-source tools can efficiently increase the detection coverage of tactics and techniques used to deal with APT attacks,as defined by MITRE Adversarial Tactics,Techniques,and Common Knowledge(ATT&CK).We implemented an attack environment using an APT attack scenario emulator called Carbanak and analyzed the detection coverage of Google Rapid Response(GRR),an open-source threat detection tool,and Graylog,an open-source log *** proposed method expanded the detection coverage against MITRE ATT&CK by approximately 11%compared with that conventional methods.

Ransomware is considered one of the most threatening *** solutions have focused mainly on discriminating ransomware by analyzing the apps themselves,but they have overlooked possible ways of hiding ransomware apps and making them difficult to be detected and then ***,this paper proposes a novel ransomware hiding model by utilizing a block-based High-Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)steganography *** main idea of the proposed steganography approach is the division of the secret ransomware data and cover HEVC frames into different *** that,the Least Significant Bit(LSB)based Hamming Distance(HD)calculation is performed amongst the secret data’s divided blocks and cover ***,the secret data bits are hidden into the marked bits of the cover HEVC frame-blocks based on the calculated HD *** main advantage of the suggested steganography approach is the minor impact on the cover HEVC frames after embedding the ransomware while preserving the histogram attributes of the cover video frame with a high *** is due to the utilization of an adaptive steganography cost function during the embedding *** proposed ransomware hiding approach was heavily examined using subjective and objective tests and applying different HEVC streams with diverse resolutions and different secret ransomware apps of various *** obtained results prove the efficiency of the proposed steganography approach by achieving high capacity and successful embedding process while ensuring the hidden ransomware’s undetectability within the video *** example,in terms of embedding quality,the proposed model achieved a high peak signal-to-noise ratio that reached 59.3 dB and a low mean-square-error of 0.07 for the examined HEVC ***,out of 65 antivirus engines,no engine could detect the existence of the embedded ransomware app.
