BACKGROUND Trauma is the leading cause of death in young adults up to the age of 45 *** is a frequent consequence of penetrating thoracic trauma,and is usually associated with pneumothorax and *** arterial bleeding or intrathoracic hemorrhage occurs after penetrating thoracic trauma,and uncontrolled bleeding is the main cause of *** SUMMARY In this case report,a patient who developed a right hemopneumothorax after penetrating thoracic trauma was examined.A 19-year-old male patient,who was brought to the emergency room with a penetrating stab injury to the posterior of the left hemithorax,was diagnosed with a right hemopneumothorax after physical examination and thoracic *** tube thoracostomy was performed as the initial *** control was achieved with right posterolateral thoracotomy in the patient,who developed massive hemorrhage after 1 h and hemodynamic *** patient recovered and was discharged on the fourth postoperative *** Contralateral hemopneumothorax that accounts for 30%of thoracic traumas and can be encountered in penetrating thoracic traumas requiring major surgery in 15-30%of cases was emphasized and the contralateral development mechanism was addressed.

AIM： TO repair the partial esophagus defect with a chitosan stent, a new esophageal prosthesis made of pulmonary tissue with vascular pedicie.METHODS： Fifteen Japanese big ear white rabbits were divided into experimental group （n = 10） and control group （n = 5）. Esophagus defect in rabbits of experimental group was repaired using lung tissue flap with a chitosan tube stent, gross and histological appearance was observed at week 2, 4 and 8 after operation, and barium sulphate X-ray screen was performed at week 10 after operation. Esophagus defect of rabbits in control group was repaired using lung tissue flap with no chitosan tube stent, gross and histological appearance was observed at week 2, 4 and 8 after operation, and barium sulphate X-ray screen was performed at week 10 after operation.RESULTS： In the experimental group, 6 rabbits survived for over two weeks, the lung tissue flap healed esophageal defection, and squamous metaplasia occurred on the surface of lung tissue flap. At week 10 after operation, barium sulphate examination found that barium was fluent through the esophagus with no stricture or back stream, the creeping was good. In the control group, 4 rabbits survived for two weeks, the lung tissue flap healed esophageal defection with fibrous tissue hyperplasia, barium sulphate examination found that barium was fluent through the esophagus with a slight stricture or back stream, and the creeping was not good at week 10 after operation.CONCLUSION： Esophagus defect can be repaired using lung tissue flap with an inner chitosan tube stent.

Two recent studies published in Nature focused on the clinical efficacy of the menin inhibitor revumenib(SNDX-5613)in KMT2A(histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2A)-rearranged or NPM1(Nucleophosmin1)-mutant acute myeloid leukemia.1,2 These studies indicate that menin inhibition and its acquired resistance to long-term exposure to revuminib are key points for future treatment,emphasizing the role of menin as a challenging and promising target for the current treatment of leukemia.

Objective. To investigate the changes and influencing factors of early postoperative pulmonary functionof ***. Pre-and early postoperative pulmonary function was studied in 64 consecutive cases withoptimal thoracotomy. Pain assessment was done before pulmonary function test, and the chief complaintsof patients were recorded after the procedure. The changing curves of pulmonary function were done andthe differences associated with groups, surgical styles, pain assessment, epidural analgesia, chief com-plaint and preoperative conditions were ***. Pulmonary function was severely lowered to about 40% of the base line on the first day,and it was rehabilitated to about 60% of the base line on the eighth day. There was a greater gradienton the recovery curve on the 3rd and 4th days. Epidural analgesia was able to improve pain relaxationand pulmonary function in some degree. Single-factor analysis showed that postoperative pain, postopera-tive day and surgical style were the significant influencing factors for early postoperative pulmonary func-tion. By multiple-factor analysis, preoperative pulmonary function, age and postoperative pain were themain factors, while surgical style had only weak effect on ***. Early postoperative pulmonary function is severely impaired by thoracotomy. It rehabili-tate gradually with time. Improvement of preoperative pulmonary function, reducing surgical procedure in-juries, especially injury to respiratory muscle system, and enough postoperative pain relief are the mostimportant means that would reduce pulmonary function impairment and consequently reduce postoperativepulmonary complications.

Objective:To investigate the effect of radiotherapy plus recombinant human endostatin（RHendostatin） on esophageal cancer and its ***:A total of SO nudemice were equally randomized into control group,radiotherapy group,and combined therapy group Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ after inoculating with Ecal09 cell suspension（1×107 cells/mL）.On the day of grouping,control group and radiotherapy group were injected normal saline,while radiotherapy group and 3 combined therapy groups received radiotherapy;besides,combined therapy group Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ was injected RH-endostatin of 2.5,5,10 mg/kg *** 3-week therapy,the tumors of each group were collected and microvessel density and VEGF expression in tumors were *** vitro,Eca109 cells were divided into control group,radiotherapy group,and combined therapy ***-eight hours after treatment cell cycle distribution and apoptosis rate were detected,and the activity of VEGF signal paths was semiquantitatively ***:Since the 6th day of treatment,the relative tumor proliferation rate of combined therapy group Ⅱ was lower than radiotherapy group（P<0.05） and 40%since the 15 th *** microvessel density and EGFR expression in combined therapy group Ⅱ were lower than radiotherapy group（P<0.05）.In vitro,the cell percentage in S and G2/M phase of combined therapy group cells was lower than that in radiotherapy group cells,while the apoptosis rate and the expression of VEGF,AKT,p-AKT,ERK1/2 and p-ERKl/2 in combined group were higher than that in radiotherapy group（P<0.05）.Conclusions:RH-endostatin promotes the efficacy of radiotherapy on esophageal cancer,which may be partly realized by inhibiting the activity of VEGF related signal paths.

Long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)act as key regulators controlling complex cellular behaviors in nonsmall cell lung cancer(NSCLC).We investigated the expression of lncRNA PRRT3 antisense RNA 1(PRRT3-AS1)in paired samples of NSCLC and adjacent normal tissues from a patient cohort in our hospital using real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR)and found that it was signiﬁcantly higher in NSCLC tissue than in normal tissue,consistent with The Cancer Genome Atlas ***,functional investigation revealed that lncRNA PRRT3-AS1 depletion inhibited NSCLC-cell proliferation,colony formation,invasion,and migration,whereas its overexpression exerted the opposite ***,PRRT3-AS1 knockdown suppressed in vivo NSCLC *** of downstream mechanisms using RNA immunoprecipitation and luciferase reporter assay revealed that lncRNA PRRT3-AS1 acted as a competing endogenous RNA by adsorbing microRNA-507(miR-507)and enhanced the expression of its target gene,homeobox B5(HOXB5),in ***,miR-507 downregulation or HOXB5 upregulation eliminated the cancer-inhibiting effects of lncRNA PRRT3-AS1 depletion in NSCLC *** conclude,the lncRNA PRRT3-AS1/miR-507/HOXB5 pathway acts as a promoter of malignant characteristics in NSCLC,and this newly identiﬁed competing endogenous RNA pathway may be an effective diagnostic,prognostic,and therapeutic target in NSCLC.

This multicentre,two-arm,phase 2 study aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant camrelizumab plus chemotherapy or apatinib in patients with initially unresectable stage II–III non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Eligible patients regardless of PD-L1 expression received neoadjuvant camrelizumab 200 mg and platinum-doublet chemotherapy every 3 weeks(arm A)or those with PD-L1-positive tumors received neoadjuvant camrelizumab and apatinib 250 mg once daily(arm B),for 2–4 cycles,followed by *** primary endpoint was major pathological response(MPR)*** patients in arm A and 21 in arm B were *** rates were 50.0%(15/30)in arm A and 42.9%(9/21)in arm B,with all patients achieving R0 *** these patients,the MPR and pathological complete response rates were both 20.0%(95%CI 4.3–48.1)in arm A and were 55.6%(95%CI 21.2–86.3)and 11.1%(95%CI 0.3–48.2)in arm B,*** corresponding objective response rates were 33.3%(95%CI 11.8–61.6)and 55.6%(95%CI 21.2–86.3).With a median follow-up of 22.4 months(95%CI 19.0–26.0),the median event-free survival was not reached(NR;95%CI 13.6-NR)in arm A and 16.8 months(95%CI 8.6-NR)in arm *** 3 or above treatment-related adverse events occurred in eight(26.7%)patients in arm A and three(14.3%)in arm *** analysis showed baseline TYROBP expression was predictive of treatment response in arm *** camrelizumab plus chemotherapy or apatinib exhibits preliminary efficacy and manageable toxicity in patients with initially unresectable stage II–III NSCLC.
