The use of traditional medicine(TM)is essential for preventing and treating diseases and thus improving human ***,TM has been used since time *** Tanzania,the use of TM was most common during precolonial era before it was discriminated during the Germany colonial ***,it regained the attention during the private sector emergence era(1985-2004).Currently,there are ongoing efforts to integrate TM and modern medicine to improve healthcare systems in developing countries for sustainable healthcare *** review aims to provide an overview of the historical and current status,challenges,and future direction for TM in *** analysis revealed that the development of TM was somehow underdeveloped during the colonial rule but regained its popularity after ***,there are many opportunities such as the presence of legal and institutional frameworks,a varied medicinal biodiversity,with some of them being endemic to Tanzania,political will *** the available opportunities,there are numerous challenges to the development and use of *** include inadequate financial and human resources for research,poor conservation of medicinal biodiversity;modernization;intellectual property rights of TM knowledge;lack of safety,efficacy,and quality data of medicinal *** development and utility of TM as a resource is crucial to protect ***,the study recommends more capacity building in terms of finances,technology development,human resources training,advocacy and integration of TM into healthcare system.

Heteroatom-doped transition metal oxides have attracted great attention as advanced anode materials for lithium-ion batteries due to their high theoretical capacity and superior ***,the limited resource availability has led to a substantial rise in prices for valuable metals such as Ni and Co,posing a significant challenge for their *** address this issue,recycling of these metals from waste materials have gained prominence,and particularly the recovery of Co has been mostly focused on its economic ***,we introduced a novel recycling strategy for fabrication of heteroatomdoped CoOx（comprising mainly Co3O4with a minor CoO phase） anode with a yolk–shell structure for lithium-ion batteries,by separating Co from cemented tungsten carbide *** employing a simple leaching process and subsequent spray pyrolysis,the yolk–shell structured microsphere comprising CoOxwas successfully ***,the presence of other waste metals in the leachate facilitated multi-heteroatom doping during ***,the introduction of various dopants into CoOxinduced oxygen vacancy formation,thereby enhancing the electrochemical properties of the *** a result,compared with the phase-pure （undoped） CoOxyolk–shell,the heteroatom-doped CoOxyolk–shell exhibited robust cycling stability (602 mAh·g-1for 200 cycles at 1 A·g-1) and excellent rate capability(210 mAh·g-1at 10 A·g-1).

In industrial wireless networks,data transmitted from source to destination are highly *** often leads to the queuing of the data,and poor management of the queued data results in excessive delays,increased energy consumption,and packet ***,a nature-inspired-based Dragonfly Interaction Optimization Algorithm(DMOA)is proposed for optimization of the queue delay in industrial wireless *** term“interaction”herein used is the characterization of the“flying movement”of the dragonfly towards damselflies(female dragonflies)for *** a result,interaction is represented as the flow of transmitted data packets,or traffic,from the source to the base *** includes each and every feature of dragonfly movement as well as awareness of the rival dragonflies,predators,and damselflies for the desired optimization of the queue *** features are juxtaposed as noise and interference,which are further used in the calculation of industrial wireless metrics:latency,error rate(reliability),throughput,energy efficiency,and fairness for the optimization of the queue *** analysis,convergence analysis,the Wilcoxon test,the Friedman test,and the classical as well as the 2014 IEEE Congress of Evolutionary Computation(CEC)on the benchmark functions are also used for the evaluation of DMOA in terms of its robustness and *** results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed algorithm for both classical and benchmarking functions of the IEEE CEC ***,the accuracy and efficacy of DMOA were demonstrated by means of the convergence rate,Wilcoxon testing,and ***,fairness using Jain’s index in queue delay optimization in terms of throughput and latency,along with computational complexity,is also evaluated and compared with other *** results show that DMOA exceeds other bio-inspired optimization algorithms in terms of fairness in queue delay management and average packet *** proposed a

Single-phase 25 kV traction networks of electrified alternating current(AC)railways create electromagnetic fields(EMFs)with significant levels of *** most intense magnetic fields occur when short circuits exist between the contact wire and rails or *** the short duration of exposure,they can adversely affect electronic devices and induce significant voltages in adjacent power lines,which is dangerous for operating *** numerous investigations have focused on modeling the EMF of traction networks and power lines,the challenge of determining the three-dimensional electromagnetic fields near metal supports during the flow of a short-circuit current through them is yet to be *** this case,the field has a complex spatial structure that significantly complicates the calculations of *** study proposes a methodology,algorithms,software,and digital models for determining the EMF in the described emergency *** the modeling process,the objects being studied were represented by segments of thin wires to analyze the distribution of the electric charge and calculate the intensities of the electric and magnetic *** approach was implemented in the Fazonord software,and the modeling results show a substantial increase in EMF levels close to the support,with a noticeable decrease in the levels as the distance from it *** procedure implemented in the commercial software Fazonord is universal and can be used to determine electromagnetic fields at any electrical power facility that includes live parts of limited *** on the proposed procedure,the EMF near the supports of overhead power lines and traction networks of various designs could be determined,the EMF levels at substations can be calculated,and the influence of metal structures located near traction networks,such as pedestrian crossings at railway stations,can be considered.

Rapid advancement in aerospace technology has successfully enabled long-term life and economic activities in space,particularly in Low Earth Orbit(LEO),extending up to 2000 km from the mean sea ***,the sustainance of the LEO Economy and its Environmental Control and Life support System(ECLSS)still relies on a regular cargo supply of essential commodities(e.g.,water,food)from Earth,for which there still is a lack of adequate and sustainable *** key challenge in this context is developing water treatment technologies and standards that can perform effectively under microgravity *** this technical challenge will be a milestone in providing a scientific basis and the necessary support mechanisms for establishing permanent bases in outer space and *** identify clues towards solving this challenge,we looked back at relevant scientific research exploring novel technologies and standards for deep space exploration,also considering feedback for enhancing these technologies on *** our findings,we share our outlook for the future of drinking water treatment in *** also bring up a new concept for space aquatic chemistry,considering the closed environment of engineered systems operating in microgravity.

Clinical bone-morphogenetic protein 2(BMP2)treatment for bone regeneration,often resulting in complications like soft tissue inflammation and ectopic ossification due to high dosages and non-specific delivery systems,necessitates research into improved biomaterials for better BMP2 stability and *** tackle this challenge,we introduced a groundbreaking bone-targeted,lipoplex-loaded,three-dimensional bioprinted bilayer scaffold,termed the polycaprolactone-bioink-nanoparticle(PBN)scaffold,aimed at boosting bone *** encapsulated BMP2 within the fibroin nanoparticle based lipoplex(Fibroplex)and functionalized it with DSS6 for bone tissue-specific targeting.3D printing technology enables customized,porous PCL scaffolds for bone healing and soft tissue growth,with a two-step bioprinting process creating a cellular lattice structure and a bioink grid using gelatin-alginate hydrogel and DSS6-Fibroplex,shown to support effective nutrient exchange and cell growth at specific pore *** PBN scaffold is predicted through in silico analysis to exhibit biased BMP2 release between bone and soft tissue,a finding validated by in vitro osteogenic differentiation *** PBN scaffold was evaluated for critical calvarial defects,focusing on sustained BMP2 delivery,prevention of soft tissue cell infiltration and controlled fiber membrane pore size in *** PBN scaffold demonstrated a more than eight times longer BMP2 release time than that of the collagen sponge,promoting osteogenic differentiation and bone regeneration in a calvarial defect *** findings suggest that the PBN scaffold enhanced the local concentration of BMP2 in bone defects through sustained release and improved the spatial arrangement of bone formation,thereby reducing the risk of heterotopic ossification.

The maximum flyer impact velocity based on a dynamic solidification cracking mechanism is proposed to describe the upper limit of collision welding process ***,the upper limit of the weld window is governed by the evolution of dynamic stresses and temperatures at the weld *** formulations for the upper limit of the collision weld window assume that both the flyer and target are made of the same material and approximate stress propagation velocities using the acoustic velocity or the shear wave velocity of the weld ***,collision welding fundamentally depends on the impacts that generate shockwaves in weld members,which can dominate the stress propagation velocities in thin weld ***,this study proposes an alternative weld window upper limit that approximates stress propagation using shock velocities calculated from modified 1-D Rankine-Hugoniot *** shock upper limit is validated against the experimental and simulation data in the collision welding literature,and offers a design tool to rapidly predict more accurate optimal collision weld process limits for similar and dissimilar weld couples compared to existing models without the cost or complexity of high-fidelity simulations.
