We report a detailed study of magnetically levitated loading of ultracold ^(133)Cs atoms in a dimple *** atomic sample was produced in a combined red-detuned optical dipole trap and dimple trap formed by two small waist beams crossing a horizontal *** magnetic levitation for the ^(133)Cs atoms forms an effective potential for a large number of atoms in a high spatial *** of the number of atoms loaded and trapped in the dimple trap on the magnetic field gradient and bias field is in good agreement with the theoretical *** method has been widely used to obtain the Bose–Einstein condensation atoms for many atomic species.

We report the generation of quasi-cw vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)light at 160 nm with a repetition rate of 82 MHz by two second-harmonic generations and one sum frequency *** VUV laser light is produced as a fifth-harmonic generation of a mode-locked ps Ti:sapphire laser system by successive stages with nonlinear crystals of LBO and KBBF.A stable generation of laser light at 200 nm for more than 6 h is the most important step for obtaining the generation of light at a wavelength of 160 nm.

We investigate Rydberg |65D_(5/2)> → |66P_(3/2)> superradiance in dense ultracold cesium atoms,where the ground atoms are excited to |65D_(5/2)> Rydberg states via two-photon excitation in a standard magneto-optical *** superradiant spectrum of |65D_(5/2)> → |66P_(3/2)> is obtained using the state-selective field ionization *** observe its dynamic evolution process by varying the delay time of ionization field *** results show that the evolution process of |65D_(5/2)> →|66P_(3/2)> is much shorter than its radiation lifetime at room temperature,which verifies the superradiance *** dependence of the superradiance process on Rydberg atoms number N_(e) and principal quantum number n is *** results show that the superradiance becomes faster with increasing N_(e),while it is suppressed for stronger van der Waals(vdW) *** has potential applications in quantum technologies,and the Rydberg atom is an ideal medium for *** system is effective for studying the strong two-body interaction between Rydberg atoms.

Evaluation of corneal parameter changes under different accommodative stimuli with Scheimpflug imaging-based tomography

AIM:To evaluate the reliability of measurements of corneal changes with accommodation in healthy eyes using a Scheimpflug imaging-based system and how these measurements distribute in the normal ***:Prospective,non-randomized,comparative study including 27 healthy subjects(54 eyes),including emmetropia(13 eyes),myopia(17 eyes),hyperopia(4 eyes)and astigmatism(20 eyes)*** all cases,a complete eye examination was performed,including the analysis of corneal changes with different accommodative stimuli(+2.00,0.00 and-3.00 D)using the Pentacam AXL *** investigation was structured in 2 phases:repeatability analysis and characterization of accommodation-related corneal changes in healthy ***:In the repeatability analysis,the index of height asymmetry(IHA)showed the greatest variability with the three accommodative stimuli,being the results for the rest of parameters *** group of emmetropes showed significant differences with accommodative changes in the position of maximum keratometry(Kmax;P<0.05),whereas in the astigmatism group,significant changes were not only observed in the position of Kmax,but also in minimum corneal thickness(MCT),corneal spherical aberration,and total and low order aberration root mean square(all P<0.05).Likewise,a significant difference was found in the displacement of the X position of Kmax with+2.00 D and-3.00 D in the myopia group(P=0.033)as well as in changes with+2.00 D and-3.00 D in the magnitude of the position vector of Kmax in the emmetropia group(P<0.05).No significant changes were found between accommodative stimuli in the displacement of coordinates of MCT(P≥0.109).CONCLUSION:The position of Kmax and MCT in healthy corneas can change significantly when presenting different accommodative stimuli using the accommodation mode of the Pentacam system,with different trends in these accommodation-related corneal changes between refractive ***,the consistency of the measurement

An optical multimode fiber(MMF)is capable of delivering structured light modes or complex images with high ***,we present a holographic approach to enable the MMF as a 3D holographic projector with the capability of complete polarization *** harnessing the strong coupling of the spatial and polarization degrees of freedom of light propagating through MMFs,our approach realizes active control of the output intensity and polarization in 3D space by shaping only the wavefront of the incident *** this manner,we demonstrate MMF-based holographic projection of vectorial images on multiple planes via a phase-only ***,dynamic projection of polarization-multiplexed grayscale images is presented with an averaged Pearson correlation coefficient of up to *** work is expected to benefit fiber-based holographic displays,data transmission,optical imaging,and manipulation.

Under high relative humidity(RH)conditions,the release of volatile components(such as acetate)has a significant impact on the aerosol *** this work,one surface plasmon resonance microscopy(SPRM)measurement system was introduced to determine the hygroscopic growth factors(GFs)of three acetate aerosols separately or mixed with glucose at different *** Ca(CH_(3)COO)_(2) or Mg(CH_(3)COO)_(2) aerosols,the hygroscopic growth trend of each time was lower than that of the previous time in three cyclic humidification from 70% RH to 90% RH,which may be due to the volatility of acetic acid leading to the formation of insoluble hydroxide(Ca(OH)_(2) or Mg(OH)_(2))under high RH *** the third calculated GF(using the Zdanovskii-Stokes-Robinson method)for Ca(CH_(3)COO)_(2) or Mg(CH_(3)COO)_(2) in bicomponent aerosols with 1:1 mass ratio were 3.20% or 5.33% lower than that of the first calculated GF at 90% *** calculated results also showed that the hygroscopicity change of bicomponent aerosol was negatively correlated with glucose content,especially when the mass ratio of Mg(CH_(3)COO)_(2) to glucose was 1:2,the GF at 90% RH only decreased by4.67% after three cyclic *** coupled plasma atomic emission spectrum(ICP-AES)based measurements also indicated that the changes of Mg^(2+)concentration in bicomponent was lower than that of the *** results of this study reveal thatduring the efflorescence transitions of atmospheric nanoparticles,the organic acids diffusion rate may be inhibited by the coating effect of neutral organic components,and the particles aging cycle will be prolonged.

A quantum teleportation network involving multiple users is essential for future quantum *** far,controlled quantum teleportation has been demonstrated in a three-user ***,versatile and controlled quantum teleportation network involving more users is in demand,which satisfies different combinations of users for practical *** we propose a highly versatile and controlled teleportation network that can switch among various combinations of different *** use a single continuous-variable six-partite Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger(GHZ)state to realize such a task by choosing the different measurement and feedback *** controlled teleportation network,which includes one sub-network,two sub-networks and three sub-networks,can be realized for different application of user ***,the coherent feedback control(CFC)can manipulate and improve the teleportation *** approach is flexible and scalable,and would provide a versatile platform for demonstrations of complex quantum communication and quantum computing protocols.

The compact,sensitive,and multidimensional displacement measurement device plays a crucial role in semiconductor manufacture and high-resolution optical *** metasurface offers a promising solution to develop high-precision displacement *** this work,we proposed and experimentally demonstrated a two-dimensional displacement(XZ)measurement device by a dielectric *** transversal and longitudinal displacements of the metasurface can be obtained by the analysis of the interference optical intensity that is generated by the deflected light beams while the metasurface is under linearly polarized *** experimentally demonstrated that displacements down to 5.4 nm along the x-axis and 0.12μm along the z-axis can be resolved with a 900μm×900μm *** work opens up new possibilities to develop a compact high-precision multidimensional displacement sensor.
