The ability to accurately predict urban traffic flows is crucial for optimising city ***,various methods for forecasting urban traffic have been developed,focusing on analysing historical data to understand complex mobility *** learning techniques,such as graph neural networks(GNNs),are popular for their ability to capture spatio-temporal ***,these models often become overly complex due to the large number of hyper-parameters *** this study,we introduce Dynamic Multi-Graph Spatial-Temporal Graph Neural Ordinary Differential Equation Networks(DMST-GNODE),a framework based on ordinary differential equations(ODEs)that autonomously discovers effective spatial-temporal graph neural network(STGNN)architectures for traffic prediction *** comparative analysis of DMST-GNODE and baseline models indicates that DMST-GNODE model demonstrates superior performance across multiple datasets,consistently achieving the lowest Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)and Mean Absolute Error(MAE)values,alongside the highest *** the BKK(Bangkok)dataset,it outperformed other models with an RMSE of 3.3165 and an accuracy of 0.9367 for a 20-min interval,maintaining this trend across 40 and 60 ***,on the PeMS08 dataset,DMST-GNODE achieved the best performance with an RMSE of 19.4863 and an accuracy of 0.9377 at 20 min,demonstrating its effectiveness over longer *** Los_Loop dataset results further emphasise this model’s advantage,with an RMSE of 3.3422 and an accuracy of 0.7643 at 20 min,consistently maintaining superiority across all time *** numerical highlights indicate that DMST-GNODE not only outperforms baseline models but also achieves higher accuracy and lower errors across different time intervals and datasets.

Metaheuristics are commonly used in various fields,including real-life problem-solving and engineering appli*** present work introduces a novel metaheuristic algorithm named the Artificial Circulatory System Algorithm(ACSA).The control of the circulatory system inspires it and mimics the behavior of hormonal and neural regulators involved in this *** work initially evaluates the effectiveness of the suggested approach on 16 two-dimensional test functions,identified as classical benchmark *** method was subsequently examined by application to 12 CEC 2022 benchmark problems of different ***,the paper evaluates ACSA in comparison to 64 metaheuristic methods that are derived from different approaches,including evolutionary,human,physics,and ***,a sequence of statistical tests was undertaken to examine the superiority of the suggested algorithm in comparison to the 7 most widely used algorithms in the existing *** results show that the ACSA strategy can quickly reach the global optimum,avoid getting trapped in local optima,and effectively maintain a balance between exploration and *** outperformed 42 algorithms statistically,according to post-hoc *** also outperformed 9 algorithms *** study concludes that ACSA offers competitive solutions in comparison to popüler methods.

Association of cholesterol with risk of pancreatic cancer:A meta-analysis

AIM: To evaluate the effect of dietary cholesterol and serum total cholesterol(TC) on the risk of pancreatic cancer. METHODS: A literature search was performed up to June 2014 in Pub Med, EMBASE, China National Knowledge Infrastructure and China Biology Medicalliterature database for relevant articles published in English or Chinese. Pooled relative risks(RRs) with 95% confidence intervals(CIs) were calculated with a random-effects model. RESULTS: We included 14 published articles with 439355 participants for dietary cholesterol, and 6 published articles with 1805697 participants for serum TC. For the highest vs lowest category of dietary cholesterol, the pooled RR(95%CI) of pancreatic cancer was 1.308(1.097-1.559). After excluding two studies(RR > 3.0), the pooled RR(95%CI) was 1.204(1.050-1.380). In subgroup analysis stratified by study design, the pooled RRs(95%CIs) were 1.523(1.226-1.893) for case-control studies and 1.023(0.871-1.200) for cohort studies. The association of dietary cholesterol with the risk of pancreatic cancer was significant for studies conducted in North America [1.275(1.058-1.537)] and others [2.495(1.565-3.977)], but not in Europe [1.149(0.863-1.531)]. No significant association [1.003(0.859-1.171)] was found between the risk of pancreatic cancer and serum TC. CONCLUSION: Dietary cholesterol may be associated with an increased risk of pancreatic cancer in worldwide populations, except for Europeans. The results need to be confirmed further.

Performance of common imaging techniques vs serum biomarkers in assessing fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B: A systematic review and meta-analysis

XPC Polymorphism Increases Risk of Digestive System Cancers:Current Evidence from A Meta-Analysis

Objective： Xeroderma pigmentosum complementation group C （XPC） participates in the initial recognition of DNA damage during nucleotide excision repair process in global genomic repair. Our meta-analysis was performed to evaluate the association between three polymorphisms （Lys939Gln, PAT＋/- and Ala499Val） of XPC gene and risk of digestive system cancers. Methods： All the relevant case-control studies published to April 2011 were identified through searching PubMed. Digestive system cancer risk with the three polymorphisms was estimated for each study by odds ratio （OR） with its 95% confidence interval （95% CI）. Results： We found an increased overall risk for digestive system cancers in all three models of Lys939Gln AC （AC/CC vs. AA： OR, 1.20; 95% CI, 1.11-1.30; CC vs. AC/AA： OR, 1.24; 95% CI, 1.11-1.39; CC vs. AA： OR, 1.36; 95% CI, 1.21-1.53）. When strati？ed by ethnicity, results remained significant in Asian population （AC/CC vs. AA： OR, 1.18; 95% CI, 1.02-1.37; CC vs. AC/AA： OR, 1.32; 95% CI, 1.1-1.51; CC vs. AA： OR, 1.35; 95% CI, 1.08-1.70）, but not for Caucasians. However for Ala499Val CT, a significant protective effect of T allele was only observed in the dominant model. Otherwise, no significant results were observed for PAT＋/-. Conclusion： XPC Lys939Gln AC polymorphism may play an important role in digestive system cancer susceptibility.

Adiponectin gene polymorphisms and risk of gestational diabetes mellitus:A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Adiponectin(ADIPOQ) is an important factor involved in the regulation of both carbohydrate and lipid metabolism. Polymorphisms in the ADIPOQ gene are known to influence an individual's predisposition to metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes. Moreover, women with gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) are at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Several studies have been conducted previously to assess the association between ADIPOQ polymorphisms and GDM; however, the results of the association are *** To quantitatively evaluate the association between ADIPOQ +45 T/G, +276 G/T,and-11377 C/G polymorphisms and the risk of *** A systematic search of EMBASE, PubMed, CNKI, Web of Science, and WANFANG DATA was conducted up to October 20, 2018. We calculated merged odds ratios(ORs) with 95% confidence intervals(CIs) using a fixed-effects or random-effects model depending on the between-study heterogeneity to evaluate the association between AIDPOQ +45 T/G, +276 G/T, and-11377 C/G polymorphisms and the risk of GDM. Subgroup analysis was performed by ethnicity. Publication and sensitivity bias analyses were performed to test the robustness of the association. All statistical analyses were conducted using Stata *** Nine studies of +45 T/G included 1024 GDM cases and 1059 controls, five studies of +276 G/T included 590 GDM cases and 595 controls, and five studies of-11377 C/G included 722 GDM cases and 791 controls. Pooled ORs indicated that+45 T/G increased GDM risk in Asians(allelic model: OR = 1.47, 95%CI: 1.27-1.70,P = 0.000; dominant model: OR = 1.54, 95%CI: 1.27-1.85, P = 0.000; recessive model: OR=2.00, 95%CI: 1.43-2.85, P = 0.000), not in South Americans(allelic model: OR = 1.21, 95%CI: 0.68-2.41, P = 0.510; dominant model: OR = 1.13, 95%CI:,0.59-2.15, P = 0.710; recessive model: OR = 2.18, 95%CI: 0.43-11.07, P = 0.350).There were no significant associations between +276 G/T(allelic model: OR = 0.88,95%CI: 0.74-1.05, P = 0

Maternal serum level of resistin is associated with risk for gestational diabetes mellitus:A meta-analysis

BACKGROUND Resistin is most likely involved in the pathogenesis of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM), but the existing findings are *** To review the literature investigating the associations of the risk of GDM with serum level of *** A systematic literature search was performed using MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Web of Science(all databases). This meta-analysis included eligible studies that:(1) investigated the relationship between the risk of GDM and serum resistin;(2)included GDM cases and controls without GDM;(3) diagnosed GDM according to the oral glucose-tolerance test;(4) were performed in humans;(5) were published as full text articles in English; and(6) provided data with median and quartile range, median and minimum and maximum values, or mean and standard deviation. The pooled standardized mean difference(SMD) and 95%confidence interval(CI) were calculated to estimate the association between the risk of GDM and serum resistin. To analyze the potential influences of need for insulin in GDM patients and gestational age at blood sampling, we performed a subgroup analysis. Meta-regression with restricted maximum likelihood estimation was performed to assess the potentially important covariate exerting substantial impact on between-study *** The meta-analysis for the association between serum resistin level and GDM risk included 18 studies(22 comparisons) with 1041 cases and 1292 controls. The total results showed that the risk of GDM was associated with higher serum resistin level(SMD = 0.250, 95%CI: 0.116, 0.384). Epidemiological Survey of the Prevalence of Non-fatal Injury among Children Aged 5-14 Years in China

Objective To determine the prevalence of non-fatal injuries among children aged 5-14 years in China. Methods Data of 21 973 children aged 5-14 years were extracted from the Fourth National health Service Survey of China carried out between June 15 and July 10, 2008. Injury-related indicators included： history of ever having had an injury, and injury frequency, cause, location and severity. Results The overall prevalence of non-fatal injuries among the children in the previous 12 months was 17.0 per 1000 subjects. The leading causes of non-fatal injuries were falls, animal bites, traffic accidents, falling objects and burns. The majority of children sustained only one injury. The main place of injury was at home in 40% and 54% of urban boys and girls, respectively, at school in 48% of rural boys, and at home and at school each in 33% of rural girls. Medical treatment for one day was the main option for 80% of urban boys and girls, 84% of rural boys, and 72% of rural girls. Conclusion Nonfatal injuries among children aged 5-14 years are a serious public health concern in China.

Analysis of factors related to non-sentinel lymph node metastasis in 296 sentinel lymph node-positive Chinese breast cancer patients

Objective: Axillary lymph node dissection(ALND) may be unnecessary in 20%–60% of breast cancer patients with sentinel lymph node(NSLN) metastasis. The aim of the present study was to review the medical records of Chinese patients with early-stage breast cancer and positive NSLN metastasis to identify clinicopathological characteristics as risk factors for non-NSLN ***: The medical records of 2008 early-stage breast cancer patients who received intraoperative sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) between 2006 and 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. These patients were clinically and radiologically lymph nodenegative and had no prior history of receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy or endocrinotherapy. The clinicopathological characteristics of patients with positive NSLN metastasis who underwent ALND were ***: In the present study, 296 patients with positive NSLN metastases underwent ALND. Positive non-NSLN metastases were confirmed in 95 patients(32.1%). On univariate analysis, ≥ 3 positive NSLN metastases(P <0.01), NSLN macrometastases(P =0.023), and lymphovascular invasion(P = 0.04) were associated with non-NSLN metastasis(P <0.05). In multivariate analysis, the number of positive SLNs was the most significant predictor of non-SLN metastasis. For patients with 0, 1, 2, or 3 associated risk factors, the non-SLN metastatic rates were 11.5%, 22.5%, 35.2%, and 73.1%, ***: The number of positive NSLNs, NSLN macrometastases, and lymphovascular invasion were correlated with nonSLN metastasis. The number of positive SLNs was an independent predictor for non-NSLN metastasis. When 2 or 3 risk factors were present in one patient, the probability of non-NSLN was higher than that in the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group Z0011 trial(27.3%); thus, avoiding ALND should be considered carefully.
