A GdPR Compliant Approach to Assign Risk Levels to Privacy Policies

data privacy laws require service providers to inform their customers on how user data is gathered,used,protected,and *** General data ProtectionRegulation(GdPR)is a legal framework that provides guidelines for collecting and processing personal information from *** providers use privacy policies to outline the ways an organization captures,retains,analyzes,and shares customers’data with other *** policies are complex and written using legal jargon;therefore,users rarely read them before accepting *** exist a number of approaches to automating the task of summarizing privacy policies and assigning risk *** of the existing approaches are not GdPR compliant and use manual annotation/labeling of the privacy text to assign risk level,which is time-consuming and *** present a framework that helps users see not only data practice policy compliance with GdPR but also the risk levels to privacy associated with accepting that *** main contribution of our approach is eliminating the overhead cost of manual annotation by using the most frequent words in each category to create word-bags,which are used with Regular Expressions and Pointwise Mutual Information scores to assign risk levels that comply with the GdPR guidelines for data *** have also developed a web-based application to graphically display risk level reports for any given online privacy *** show that our approach is not only consistent with GdPR but performs better than existing approaches by successfully assigning risk levels with 95.1%accuracy after assigning data practice categories with an accuracy rate of 79%.

Equilibria in Interdependent Natural-gas and Electric Power Markets: an Analytical Approach

Natural-gas and electric power systems and their corresponding markets have evolved over time independently. However, both systems are increasingly interdependent since combined cycle gas turbines that use natural gas to produce electricity increasingly couple them together. Therefore, suitable analysis techniques are most needed to comprehend the consequences on market outcomes of an increasing level of integration of both systems. There is a vast literature on integrated natural-gas and electric power markets assuming that the two markets are operated centrally by a single operator. This assumption is often untrue in the real world, which necessitates developing models for these interdependent yet independent markets. In this vein, this paper addresses the gap in the literature and provides analytical Nash-Cournot equilibrium models to represent the joint operation of natural-gas and electric power markets with the assumption that the market participants in each market make their own decisions independently seeking the maximum profits, as often is the case in the real world. We develop an analytical equilibrium model and apply the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) approach to obtain Nash-Cournot equilibria for the interdependent natural-gas and electric power markets. We use a double-duopoly case to study the interaction of both markets and to derive insightful analytical results. Moreover, we derive closed-form analytical expressions for spot-market equilibria in both natural-gas and electric power markets, which are relevant and of practical significance for decision makers. We complement the double-duopoly study with a detailed sensitivity analysis.

Entrainment range affected by the heterogeneity in the amplitude relaxation rate of suprachiasmatic nucleus neurons

Adaption of circadian rhythms in behavioral and physiological activities to the external light–dark cycle is achieved through the main clock, i.e., the suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCN) of the brain in mammals. It has been found that the SCN neurons differ in the amplitude relaxation rate, which represents the rigidity of the neurons to the external amplitude disturbance. Thus far, the appearance of that difference has not been explained. In the present study, an alternative explanation based on the Poincare′ model is given which takes into account the effect of the difference in the entrainment range of the SCN. Both our simulation results and theoretical analyses show that the largest entrainment range is obtained with suitable difference in the case that only a part of SCN neurons are sensitive to the light information. Our findings may give an alternative explanation for the appearance of that difference(heterogeneity) and shed light on the effects of the heterogeneity in the neuronal properties on the collective behaviors of the SCN neurons.

Near-infrared downconversion in Eu^(2+) and Pr^(3+) co-doped KSrPO_4 phosphor

A novel near-infrared （NIR） downconversion （dC） phosphor KSrPO4：Eu2＋, Pr3＋ is synthesized by the conventional high temperature solid-state reaction. The Eu2＋ acts as an efficient sensitizer for Pr3＋ in the KSrPO4 host. With broad- band near-ultraviolet light excitation induced by the 4f→5d transition of Eu2＋, the characteristic NIR emission of Pr3＋, peaking at 974 nm and 1019 nm due to 3po →1G4 and 1G4→3H4 transitions, is generated as a result of the energy transfer from Eu2＋ to Pr3＋. The luminescence spectra in both the visible and the NIR regions and the decay lifetime curves of Eu2＋ prove the energy transfer from Eu2＋ to Pr3＋. This Eu2＋ and Pr3＋ co-doped KSrPO4 phosphor may be a promising candidate to modify the spectral mismatch behavior of crystalline solar cells and sunlight.

Combustion synthesis and luminescence properties of blue NaBaPO_4:Eu^(2+) phosphor

The blue-emitting phosphor NaBaPO4：Eu2＋ was prepared by the combustion method. The phase structure and microstructure of the as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRd） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, respectively. Under the excita-tion wavelength of 360 nm, the emission spectrum exhibited only one blue band centering at 435 nm, which was ascribed to the 4f65d1→4f7 transition on Eu2＋ ions. Compared with the phosphor obtained by solid-state reaction method, the relative emission intensity of sample ob-tained by combustion method increased slightly. The decay times and the temperature dependence luminescence intensities （25-300 oC） were discussed in order to further investigate the potential applications. Furthermore, Eu2＋-doped NaBaPO4 phosphor showed higher thermally sta-ble luminescence comparable to commercially available Y3Al5O12：Ce3＋（YAG：Ce3＋） phosphor. All the investigated suggestions that Na-BaPO4：Eu2＋ is a good phosphor candidate applied in white light emitting diode.

Research on Alliance decision of dual-Channel Remanufacturing Supply Chain Considering Bidirectional Free-Riding and Cost-Sharing

This study delves into the formation dynamics of alliances within a closed-loop supply chain(CLSC)that encom-passes a manufacturer,a retailer,and an e-commerce *** leverages Stackelberg game for this exploration,contrasting the equilibrium outcomes of a non-alliance model with those of three differentiated alliance *** non-alliance model acts as a crucial benchmark,enabling the evaluation of the motivations for various supply chain entities to engage in alliance *** analysis is centered on identifying the most effective alliance strategies and establishing a coordination within these *** thoroughly investigate the consequences of diverse alliance behaviors,bidirectional free-riding and cost-sharing,and the resultant effects on the optimal decision-making among supply chain *** findings underscore several pivotal insights:(1)The behavior of alliances within the supply chain exerts variable impacts on the optimal pricing and demand of its *** comparison to the non-alliance(d)model,the manufacturer-retailer(MR)and manufacturer-e-commerce platform(ME)alliances significantly lower both offline and online resale prices for new and remanufactured *** adjustment leads to an enhanced demand for products via the MR alliance’s offline outlets and the ME alliance’s online platforms,thereby augmenting the profits for those within the ***,retailer-e-commerce platform(ER)alliance tends to increase the optimal retail price and demand across both online and offline *** specific conditions,alliance behavior can also increase the profits of non-alliance members,and the profits derived through alliance channels also exceed those from non-alliance channels.(2)The prevalence of bidirectional free-riding behavior largely remains constant across different alliance *** these models,bidirectional free-riding typically elevates the equilibrium prices in offline channel while negatively affe

In-house or Outsourcing R&d?Manufacturer Technology Strategy in the Presence of Market Follower Encroachment

Coopetition between B2C E-commerce Companies:Price Competition and Logistics Service Cooperation

This paper studies the impact of logistics cooperation in two competing companies,one of which is equipped with a self-run logistics system while the other is *** latter outsources logistics services to a third-party logistics company before logistics cooperation,or to its competitor after logistics cooperation with the client's service quality being in proportion to and no greater than the service provider's service *** find that when the service provider is a price taker,logistics cooperation is beneficial to both firms only when the service quality after logistics cooperation is ***,under some circumstances,the client's profit increases even when its service quality decreases after logistics cooperation because logistics cooperation eases the price *** also find that all-win situations in which logistics cooperation increases the firms7 profit,consumer surplus and social welfare can be ***,when the service price can be chosen by the service provider,we propose a negotiation process in which agreement on logistics cooperation can be reached;when the firm can invest in service quality,logistics cooperation may lower the equilibrium investment level.

We study the regularity of random attractors for a class of degenerate parabolic equations with leading term div（o（x）↓△u） and multiplicative noises. Under some mild conditions on the diffusion variable o（x） and without any restriction on the upper growth p of nonlinearity, except that p 〉 2, we show the existences of random attractor in d0^1,2（dN, σ） space, where dN is an arbitrary （bounded or unbounded） domain in R^N N 〉 2. For this purpose, some abstract results based on the omega-limit compactness are established.
