Prioritization of factors related to mental health of women during an earthquake:A qualitative study

BACKGROUND: According to the fact that women account for the highest rate of victims of mental health loss during disasters, prioritization of their requirements is of remarkable signifi cance. Therefore, the present study was carried out with the aim to prioritize factors related to women's mental health during an earthquake. METHODS: This study was conducted using the Delphi method in 2017. Participants consisted of experts including psychologists, counselors and psychiatrists, social medicine specialists, and psychiatric-mental health nurses with experience in service and disaster awareness, especially earthquake. They were selected using purposive and snowball sampling methods. The Delphi method was used in 2 rounds with 21 components and the fi nal attendance of 19 participants and the collective agreement of 75%. RESULTS: Of the 21 factors related to women's mental health during the earthquake, the following components were, respectively, preferred by the participants: psychological well-being training, group relationships and support of women in emergency situations, fair treatment in the provision of rights and services to women, crisis awareness and management of behavior and diffi cult conditions, and social security during disasters with the total mean standard deviation (SD) of 13.4 (2.4), 13.0 (2.4), 12.7 (2.5), 12.5 (2.4), and 12.3 (2.2), respectively. CONCLUSION: Training in the fi eld of psychology and disasters, and social and cultural factors were prioritized among factors related to women's mental health during an earthquake. Therefore, the results of this study can be applied by the planners and executives of mental health, women and disasters, and the women's community itself.

背景:许多社区精神分裂症患者服药不规律因而很容易频繁复发。目的:评估自我管理培训对社区慢性精神分裂症患者服药依从性和复发情况的影响。方法 :共纳入上海市城市和农村的社区慢性精神分裂症患者201例,随机分为常规治疗组(n=98)或自我管理干预组(n=103)。干预组接受为期6个月的每周一次自我管理技能培训,之后参加每月一次的加强小组会议,由社区卫生工作者检查患者的自我管理清单,共24个月。由两名单盲于患者治疗情况的精神科医生使用Morisky服药依从性量表评估患者服药依从性并采用自知力评估量表(Scale to Assess Unawareness of Mental Disorders,SAUMD)了解基线时和30个月后患者的自知力。总共194人(95.6%)完成研究。结果 :基线时两组间无显著差异,但在30个月后,干预组服药依从性比常规治疗组好,对疾病的自知力提高,自我报告使用抗精神病药物的剂量相对高。在随访30个月里,干预组103例患者中只有2例(1.9%)复发(即一次或多次住院),然而对照组98例患者中有14例(14.3%)复发(X2=8.83,p=0.003)。结论 :本研究样本量大、随访时间相对长、随机设计并采用单盲法评估,研究结果的说服力相对强。本研究发现自我管理干预后患者复发显著减少、服药依从性改善以及自知力提高。这些结果拓展了我们先前的研究发现,显示自我管理训练可以有效改善社区慢性精神分裂症患者的症状和社会功能。今后需要纳入成本效益分析研究,评估将自我管理干预扩大到其他更多社区的可行性。

China’s Actions to Achieve Universal health Coverage for Children

The United Nations General Assembly adopted the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)in September *** this,governments have also committed to universal health coverage(UHC)as a development sub-goal within the SDG health field(1-2).In its effort to fully safeguard universal child health,China has established a management system for child healthcare to provide all children with continuous healthcare services starting at *** 1950,China has implemented a system of local physicians who take responsibility for child healthcare services within their *** the three-tier management system at the county,township,and village levels,every newborn is included in the child health management system starting immediately after *** urban and rural community-based health facilities in the area provide unified,standardized,and systematic healthcare ***,since 2009,child health management has been included in the National Essential Public health Service Program,which mandates that community-based primary health facilities provide free health management services for children 0–6 years old in their *** has led to equitable and comprehensive coverage of health services for these *** children enter school at the age of six,they receive an annual routine physical examination at *** 2020,the national coverage for neonatal visits,the health management rate for children under 3 and the health management rate for children under 7 all surpassed 92%,while the prevalence of stunting among children under 5 continued to *** addition,urban-rural disparities in major child health indicators have also narrowed ***,the inoculation rate of children in National Immunization Programme Vaccines has remained over 99%since 2011(3).

Zooplankton Distribution in Coastal Water off Gopalpur,North-Western Bay of Bengal

An interannual study on zooplankton abundance, biomass, and species composition was carried out during different seasons in two local coastal water types off Gopalpur, north-western Bay of Bengal. Although, Type-1 was observed with higher zooplankton abundance in comparison to Type-2, pattern of variation followed similar seasonal trends in both water types during individual years. Well pronounced seasonality was observed in zooplankton distribution. Zooplankton community was composed of 217 holoplankton and 22 meroplankton. The holoplankton community was predominated by copepod in terms of species diversity and abundance followed by hydrozoa, tintinnida, malacostraca, gastropoda, chaetognatha and chordata. The meroplankton were represented by larval forms viz. bivalve veliger, brachyuran zoea larvae, caridean larvae, copepod nauplii, fish egg and gastropod veliger. Dominance of copepod species viz. Acrocalanus longicornis, Paracalanus aculeatus and Paracalanus parvus were observed frequently in both water types. The species richness was higher in Type-1 in comparison to Type-2 during both the years. Salinity regimes and availability of phytoplankton prey influenced the distribution and species composition of zooplankton assemblage.

AIM:To share the results of a national screening program for amblyopia in school children in the north of ***:This is a prospective national screening study for *** program rolls first and second-grade children(6 to 7 years old) in the north of *** eye examination included:best-corrected visual acuity,cover-uncover test,and cycloplegic *** visual acuity was tested using an ETDRS visual acuity chart without ***,children were tested with full cycloplegic refraction when the test criteria were *** amblyopia was defined as a best-corrected visual acuity difference of 2 or more *** comparison,bilateral amblyopia was defined as a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/40 or worse in the best ***:The prevalence of amblyopia for the total sample tested(n=17 203) was 2.78%(n=479).The most common cause of amblyopia was hypermetropia(64.45%),followed by previous ocular surgeries(15.1%),myopia(10.43%),strabismus(9.39%),and congenital cataract(0.63%).CONCLUSION:This is the first and only study,identifing modifiable risk factors in Jordanian children with *** their first couple of years of elementary education,many Jordanian children are affected by amblyopia and pass unnoticed.A more governmental effort is needed into screening programs to improve vision in the Jordanian population.

Effect of hydrotherapy on sleep deficiency among older people in integrated community health services in Pandak Ⅰ Bantul

Objective: Relaxation technique is a nonpharmacological treatment applied to increase sleep efficiency and the quality of *** is one of the relaxation techniques and uses warm water to decrease stress and muscle stiffness, as well as to warm the body. The incidence of sleep deficiency among older people in Integrated community health services, Pandak I Bantul, has slightly increased year by year. This research aims to evaluate the effect of hydrotherapy on sleep deprivation among older ***: The research was a quasi-experimental study with a pre-post test design. Purposive sampling was used to enroll 66 older people from the Integrated community health services, Pandak I Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, as a sample, and we divided them into two groups: 33 people formed the intervention group, and 33 people comprised the control group. The intervention group did hydrotherapy once a day for a total of 7 days. First, they soaked their feet in warm water for 10 minutes. The water temperature was adjusted according to the body temperature, to approximately 40.0℃-43.0℃. Then, the intervention group took a bath using warm water. The level of sleep quality was measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) questionnaire. Data analysis was done using the Wilcoxon ***: The mean score for sleep quality in the pretest in the intervention group was 9.04(standard deviation [SD]: 2.57) and the score on the posttest was 42(SD: 1.43). The mean score for sleep quality in the intervention group was 4.67, with P=***, the research found that the difference between the pretest and posttest scores for quality of sleep in the control group was 0.42, with P=0.059.
