Conceptual Evolution and Paradigm Reconstruction:An Integrated Framework for International communication

The tracing of historical origins and disciplinary trajectories enables us to reveal that international communication,as a specific manifestation of global information flow and media evolution,is primarily influenced by the interplay of three societal factors:the roots of political conflicts,the catalytic role of economic and technological developments,and the reshaping of values into distinct *** factors intertwine with the awareness of external exploration across different historical *** knowledge production in international communication has evolved along two main lines:political economy and cultural *** paths have given rise to three major paradigmspropaganda,global communication,and intercultural communicationeach stemming from differing core units of ***,they have constructed a multifaceted interpretive framework for understanding self-identity and the relationship between self and the external world in the information age since the beginning of the 20th *** paper argues that on the new journey in the new era,efforts should be made to weaken the attributes of hierarchical control and power conflict derived from the practices of Western industrial societies and the Cold *** the context of an era marked by the fusion ofnew subjects,new networks,new media,and new values,"there is a need to return to the original purpose of communication:the sharing of information and the collective responsibility it *** will enable the construction of a new paradigm driven by Chinese modernization for the exchange and mutual learning of *** a paradigm aims to unify humanity around shared values,foster the building of a human community with a shared future,and create new forms ofhuman advancement.

A peak enhancement of frequency response of waveguide integrated silicon-based germanium avalanche photodetector

Avalanche photodetectors(APDs) featuring an avalanche multiplication region are vital for reaching high sensitivity and responsivity in optical transceivers. Waveguide-coupled Ge-on-Si separate absorption, charge, and multiplication(SACM)APDs are popular due to their straightforward fabrication process, low optical propagation loss, and high detection sensitivity in optical communications. This paper introduces a lateral SACM Ge-on-Si APD on a silicon-on-insulator(SOI) wafer, featuring a 10 μm-long, 0.5 μm-wide Ge layer at 1310 nm on a standard 8-inch silicon photonics platform. The dark current measures approximately 38.6 μA at-21 V, indicating a breakdown voltage greater than-21 V for the device. The APDs exhibit a unitgain responsivity of 0.5 A/W at-10 V. At-15 V, their responsivity reaches 2.98 and 2.91 A/W with input powers of-10 and-25 dBm, respectively. The device's 3-dB bandwidth is 15 GHz with an input power of-15 dBm and a gain is 11.68. Experimental results show a peak in impedance at high bias voltages, attributed to inductor and capacitor(LC) circuit resonance, enhancing frequency response. Furthermore, 20 Gbps eye diagrams at-21 V and-9 dBm input power reveal signal to noise ratio(SNRs) of 5.30. This lateral SACM APD, compatible with the stand complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) process,shows that utilizing the peaking effect at low optical power increases bandwidth.

Analysis of phase preservation and interferometric offset test in sparse SAR imaging

Sparse synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging has emerged as a reliable microwave imaging scheme in the recent decade and excels in down-sampling reconstruction and full-sampling performance improvements such as noise, sidelobe, speckle, and ambiguity suppression. To utilize complex image products of sparse reconstruction for improvement in polarimetric, interferometric, and tomographic SAR imaging, it is necessary to evaluate the phase preservation of sparse SAR imaging. In this study, we first introduce the general alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM) as the universal framework for sparse reconstruction algorithms and adopt chirp scaling algorithm(CSA)-based azimuth-range decouple operators to avoid expensive data storage and processing. Further, we theoretically analyze the phase preservation of the sparse reconstruction algorithm through a comparison with the reconstruction results of CSA. Finally,we conduct the interferometric offset test on the sparse reconstruction results of simulated and real Gaofen-3(GF-3) SAR data, demonstrating the phase-preserving ability of sparse methods.

MEMS reservoir computing system with stiffness modulation for multi-scene data processing at the edge

Reservoir computing(RC)is a bio-inspired neural network structure which can be implemented in hardware with *** has been applied across various fields such as memristors,and electrochemical reactions,among which the microelectro-mechanical systems(MEMS)is supposed to be the closest to sensing and computing *** previous MEMS RCs have demonstrated their potential as reservoirs,the amplitude modulation mode was found to be inadequate for computing directly upon *** achieve this objective,this paper introduces a novel MEMS reservoir computing system based on stiffness modulation,where natural signals directly influence the system stiffness as *** this innovative concept,information can be processed locally without the need for advanced data collection and *** present an integrated RC system characterized by small volume and low power consumption,eliminating complicated setups in traditional MEMS RC for data discretization and *** simulation and experiment were conducted on our *** performed nonlinearity tuning for the resonator and optimized the post-processing algorithm by introducing a digital mask ***,our MEMS RC is capable of both classification and forecasting,surpassing the capabilities of our previous non-delay-based *** method successfully processed word classification,with a 99.8%accuracy,and chaos forecasting,with a 0.0305 normalized mean square error(NMSE),demonstrating its adaptability for multi-scene data *** work is essential as it presents a novel MEMS RC with stiffness modulation,offering a simplified,efficient approach to integrate sensing and *** approach has initiated edge computing,enabling emergent applications in MEMS for local computations.

Improving Diversity with Multi-Loss Adversarial Training in Personalized News Recommendation

Users’interests are often diverse and multi-grained,with their underlying intents even more *** captur-ing users’interests and uncovering the relationships between diverse interests are key to news ***,diversity is an important metric for evaluating news recommendation algorithms,as users tend to reject excessive homogeneous information in their recommendation ***,recommendation models themselves lack diversity awareness,making it challenging to achieve a good balance between the accuracy and diversity of news *** this paper,we propose a news recommendation algorithm that achieves good performance in both accuracy and *** most existing works that solely optimize accuracy or employ more features to meet diversity,the proposed algorithm leverages the diversity-aware capability of the ***,we introduce an augmented user model to fully capture user intent and the behavioral guidance they might undergo as a ***,we focus on the relationship between the original clicked news and the augmented clicked ***,we propose an effective adversarial training method for diversity(AT4D),which is a pluggable component that can enhance both the accuracy and diversity of news recommendation *** experiments on real-world datasets confirm the efficacy of the proposed algorithm in improving both the accuracy and diversity of news recommendations.

Deep brain implantable microelectrode arrays for detection and functional localization of the subthalamic nucleus in rats with Parkinson’s disease

The subthalamic nucleus(STN)is considered the best target for deep brain stimulation treatments of Parkinson’s disease(PD).It is difficult to localize the STN due to its small size and deep *** microelectrode arrays(MEAs)can rapidly and precisely locate the STN,which is important for precise *** this paper,16-channel MEAs modified with multiwalled carbon nanotube/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)(MWCNT/PEDOT:PSS)nanocomposites were designed and fabricated,and the accurate and rapid identification of the STN in PD rats was performed using detection sites distributed at different brain *** results showed that nuclei in 6-hydroxydopamine hydrobromide(6-OHDA)-lesioned brains discharged more intensely than those in unlesioned *** addition,the MEA simultaneously acquired neural signals from both the STN and the upper or lower boundary nuclei of the ***,higher values of spike firing rate,spike amplitude,local field potential(LFP)power,and beta oscillations were detected in the STN of the 6-OHDA-lesioned brain,and may therefore be biomarkers of STN *** with the STNs of unlesioned brains,the power spectral density of spikes and LFPs synchronously decreased in the delta band and increased in the beta band of 6-OHDA-lesioned *** may be a cause of sleep and motor disorders associated with ***,this work describes a new cellular-level localization and detection method and provides a tool for future studies of deep brain nuclei.

CAGCN:Centrality-Aware Graph Convolution Network for Anomaly Detection in Industrial Control Systems

In industrial control systems,the utilization of deep learning based methods achieves improvements for anomaly ***,most current methods ignore the association of inner components in industrial control *** industrial control systems,an anomaly component may affect the neighboring components;therefore,the connective relationship can help us to detect anomalies *** this paper,we propose a centrality-aware graph convolution network(CAGCN)for anomaly detection in industrial control *** the traditional graph convolution network(GCN)model,we utilize the concept of centrality to enhance the ability of graph convolution networks to deal with the inner relationship in industrial control *** experiments show that compared with GCN,our CAGCN has a better ability to utilize this relationship between components in industrial control *** performances of the model are evaluated on the Secure Water Treatment(SWaT)dataset and the Water Distribution(WADI)dataset,the two most common industrial control systems datasets in the field of industrial anomaly *** experimental results show that our CAGCN achieves better results on precision,recall,and F1 score than the state-of-the-art methods.

A resonant high-pressure microsensor based on a composite pressure-sensitive mechanism of diaphragm bending and volume compression

In this paper,a composite pressure-sensitive mechanism combining diaphragm bending and volume compression was developed for resonant pressure microsensors to achieve high-pressure measurements with excellent *** composite mechanism was explained,and the sensor structure was designed based on theoretical analysis and finite element *** all-silicon resonant high-pressure microsensor with multiple miniaturized cavities and dual resonators was developed,where dual resonators positioned in two resonant cavities with suitably different widths are used to perform opposite characteristics in pressure and the same characteristics at different temperatures,which can improve pressure sensitivities and realize temperature self-compensation by differential frequency *** microsensor was fabricated by microfabrication,and the experimental results showed that the sensor had an accuracy of±0.015%full scale(FS)in a pressure range of 0.1~100 MPa and a temperature range of−10~50℃.The pressure sensitivity of the differential frequency was 261.10 Hz/MPa(~2523 ppm/MPa)at a temperature of 20℃,and the temperature sensitivities of the dual resonators were−1.54 Hz/℃(~−14.5 ppm/℃)and−1.57 Hz/℃(~−15.6 ppm/℃)at a pressure of 2 *** differential output had an outstanding stability within±0.02 Hz under constant temperature and ***,this research provides a convenient solution for high-pressure measurements because of its advantages,namely,large range,excellent accuracy and stability.

Long-term monitoring of environmental warfare agengts is a challenge for chemical gas *** address this issue,we developed a 433 MHz passive wireless surface acoustic wave(WSAW)gas sensor for dimethyl methylphosphonate(DMMP)*** WSAW gas sensor includes a YZ lithium niobate(LiNbO_(3))substrate with metallic interdigital transducers(IDTs)etched on it,and an antenna was placed near the IDT.A DMMP-sensitive viscoelastic polymer fluoroalcoholpolysiloxane(SXFA)film was prepared on a LiNbO_(3) substrate,and mode modeling coupling was used to optimize the design *** sensor can function properly in an environments between−30℃ and 100℃ with humidity less than 60%*** the wireless transmission distance was within the range of 0-90 cm,the sensor noise increased with distance,and the stability was less than 32°/*** optimizing the film thickness of SXFA,a relationship was observed between sensor sensitivity and film *** the film thickness of SXFA reached 450 nm,the optimal value was *** a distance of 20 cm between the transmitting and receiving antennas,DMMP was detected at different concentrations with the developed WSAW gas *** lower detection limit of DMMP was 0.48 mg/m^(3),the sensitivity of the sensor was 4.63°/(mg/m^(3)),and repeatable performance of the sensor was confirmed.
