Employing the spin-polarized density functional theory（DFT）,we investigated the magnetic and optical properties of buckled arsenene（β-As） after doping a whole series of lanthanide（Ln） *** results demonstrate that Ln atoms can be stably doped into the single layer *** doping Ln atoms,La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Gd,Dy and Lu@arsenene behave dilute magnetic semiconductor（DMS） properties,while the Pm,Sm,Eu,Ho,Er and Tm@arsenene show half metallic *** of Ln@arsenene systems favor the long-range ferromagnetic *** maximum of Ln-doped systems' magnetic moments and magnetic anisotropy energy（MAE） can reach 8 μBand 7.48 meV,*** doping of Ln atoms into arsenene improves the optical responses in visible and infrared *** can alter the magnetic coupling between Sm and the neighboring As atoms and reduce the system's magnetic ***,strain can improve the MAE of these systems,accompanied by the change of the easy magnetization of Sm@***,compressive and tensile strains effectively improve the optical responses in visible and ultraviolet region,*** on the obtained results,we believe that the Ln@arsenene monolayer has application prospects in photoelectronics and spintronics such as high-density memory devices.

Random sampling algorithm was proposed firstly by Schnorr in 2003 to find short lattice vectors, as an alternative to enumeration. The follow-up developments in random sampling were mainly proposed by Fukase and Kashiwabara in 2015 and Aono and Nguyen in 2017. Although they extended the sampling space compared to Schnorr's work through the natural number representation, they did not show how to sample specifically in practice and what vectors should be sampled, in order to find short enough lattice vectors. In this paper, the authors firstly introduce a practical random sampling algorithm under some reasonable assumptions which can find short enough lattice vectors ***, as an application of this new random sampling algorithm, the authors show that it can improve the performance of progressive BKZ algorithm in practice. Finally, the authors solve the Darmstadt's Lattice Challenge and get a series of new records in the dimension from 500 to 825, using the improved progressive BKZ algorithm.

Quantum discord, one of the famous quantum correlations, has been recently generalized to multipartite systems by Radhakrishnan et al. Here we give analytical solutions of the quantum discord for a family of N-qubit quantum states. For the bipartite system, we derive a zero quantum discord which will remain unchanged under the phase damping channel. For multiparitite systems, it is found that the quantum discord can be classified into three categories and the quantum discord for odd-partite systems can exhibit freezing under the phase damping channel, while the freezing does not exist in the even-partite systems.

The Yueguang gold deposit is located in Fengjia,Xinhua County,Hunan Province,South *** represents a recently discovered small-scale gold deposit situated in the southwestern region of the Jiangnan Orogenic Belt,west of the Baimashan granitic *** order to discern the characteristics of the ore-formingﬂuids,the underlying mineralization processes,and establish a foundation for the origin of the Yueguang gold depositﬂuid inclusion micro-thermometry,as well as quartz hydrogen and oxygen isotope analysis,have been carried out on samples obtained from various stages of *** hydrothermal miner-alization stages within the Yueguang gold deposit can be categorized into three stages:(i)the barren,pre-ore quartz-pyrite stage(Stage Ⅰ),the quartz-pyrite-gold stage(Stage Ⅱ),and the post-ore quartz-carbonate stage(Stage Ⅲ),with the second stage being the main mineralization ***ﬂuid inclusions identiﬁed in samples from the main min-eralization stage can predominantly be described with the NaCl–H_(2)O and CO_(2)–NaCl–H_(2)O *** inclusions display homogenization temperatures ranging from 158.8 to 334.9℃,and theﬂuid salinity ranges from 0.3%to 4.0%(wt.%NaCl equiv.).Laser Raman spectroscopy analysis of individual inclusions further reveals the presence of gas-phases such as CO_(2),CH_(4),and N_(2).Isotopic analysis indicatesδ^(18)Oﬂuid values ranging from 3.95 to 6.7‰ and δDH_(2)O values ranging from-71.9 to-55.7‰.These results indi-cate that the ore-formingﬂuid of the Yueguang gold deposit belongs to metamorphic hydrothermalﬂuids of middle-low temperature and low *** the process of ore formation,gold is transported in the form of Au(HS)2-complexes,with gold deposition being driven byﬂuid ***,the Yueguang gold deposit is categorized as an orogenic gold deposit dominated by metamorphic hydrother-malﬂ*** may become a new target for gold exploration in the Baimashan region,central Hunan Province.

Threshold of climate extremes that impact vegetation productivity over the Tibetan Plateau

Vegetation growth is adversely impacted by multiple climate extremes related to the water and thermal stress over the Tibetan Plateau(TP).However,it remains unknown at which stress level these climate extremes can trigger the abrupt shifts of vegetation response to climate extremes and result in the maximum vegetation response across *** fill this knowledge gap,we combined the hydrometeorological data and the satellite-derived vegetation index to detect two critical thresholds that determine the response of vegetation productivity to droughts,high-temperature extremes,and low-temperature extremes,respectively,during *** results show that the response of vegetation productivity to droughts rapidly increases once crossing -1.41±0.6 standard deviation(σ)below the normal conditions of soil *** crossing-2.98σ±0.9σ,vegetation productivity is maximum damaged by ***-temperature extremes,which have the two thresholds of 1.34σ±0.4σand 2.31σ±0.4σover TP,are suggested to trigger the strong response of vegetation productivity at a milder stress level than low-temperature extremes(two thresholds:-1.44σ±0.5σand-2.53σ±0.8σ).Moreover,we found the compounded effects of soil moisture deficit in reducing the threshold values of both high-and low-temperature *** on the derived thresholds of climate extremes that impact vegetation productivity,Earth System Models project that southwestern TP and part of the northeastern TP will become the hotspots with a high exposure risk to climate extremes by *** study deciphers the high-impact extreme climates using two important thresholds across TP,which advances the understanding of the vegetation response to different climate extremes and provides a paradigm for assessing the impacts of climate extremes on regional ecosystems.

Environment-friendly indium phosphide(InP)-based quantum dots(QDs)with efficient red-emitting properties are sufficiently needed to satisfy the requirement of burgeoning display and lighting ***,the syntheses of InP QDs using tris(trimethylsilyl)phosphine as the precursor are highly toxic and ***,we successfully introduced gallium(Ga)ions into tris(dimethylamino)phosphine-based red InP cores through thermally-promoted cation exchange,and the obtained Ga-doped InP cores exhibited significantly increased photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQY)of up to 26%.The existence of Ga was directly confirmed by energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,and the functions of Ga were systematically *** subsequent coating of Ga-doped InP cores with ZnSeS and ZnS shells,the resulting Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs achieved a high PLQY of 62%with an emission maximum at 640 *** contrast,without Ga-doping,the PLQY only attained 36%using the same synthetic *** indicated an approximate 1.7-fold increase in *** enhancement of photoluminescence was related to the Ga^(3+),as it not only passivated surface defects of InP cores but also reduced core–shell interface *** Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs exhibited good stability towards heat treatment and ultraviolet(UV)***,the red light-emitting diode(LED)based on Ga-InP/ZnSeS/ZnS QDs performed well in a wide injected current range of 2 to 200 mA,with a maximum power efficiency of 0.68 lm/*** work showcases Ga-doping through cation exchange as a promising strategy for enhancing the efficiency of InP-based red emitters.

Microplastics,a new type of emerging pollutant,is ubiquitous in terrestrial and water *** have become a growing concern due to their impacts on the environment,animal,and human *** also suffer from microplastics *** this study,we examined the toxic effects of polystyrene microplastics(PS-MPs)exposure on physical barrier,microbial community,and immune function in the cecum of a model bird species—Japanese quail(Coturnix japonica).The one-week-old birds were fed on environmentally relevant concentrations of 20μg/kg,400μg/kg,and 8 mg/kg PS-MPs in the diet for 5 *** results showed that microplastics could cause microstructural damages characterized by lamina propria damage and epithelial cell vacuolation and ultrastructural injuries including microvilli breakage and disarrangement aswell asmitochondrial vacuolation in the cecum of *** particular,blurry tight junctions,wider desmosomes spacing,and gene expression alteration indicated cecal tight junction ***,mucous layer breakdown andmucin decrease indicated that chemical barrier was disturbed by ***-MPs also changed cecal microbial *** addition,structural deformation of cecal tonsils and increasing proinflammatory cytokines suggested cecal immune disorder and inflammation responses by PS-MPs *** results suggested that microplastics negatively affected digestive system and might pose great health risks to terrestrial birds.
