Nano-SiC reinforced Zn biocomposites prepared via laser melting:Microstructure,mechanical properties and biodegradability

Zn has been regarded as new kind of potential implant biomaterials due to the desirable biodegradability and good biocompatibility,but the low strength and ductility limit its application in bone *** the present study,nano-SiC was incorporated into Zn matrix via laser melting,aiming to improve the mechanical *** microstructure analysis showed that nano-SiC distributed along Zn grain *** the laser rapid solidification,nano-SiC particles acted as the sites for heterogeneous nucleation,which resulted in the reduction of Zn grain size from 250μm to 15μm with 2 wt%SiC(Zn-2 SiC).Meanwhile,nano-SiC acted as a reinforcer by virtue of Orowan strengthening and dispersion *** a consequence,the nanocomposites showed maximal compressive yield strength(121.8±5.3 MPa)and high microhardness(72.24±3.01 HV),which were increased by 441%and 78%,respectively,compared with pure ***,fracture analysis indicated a more ductile fracture of the nanocomposites after the incorporation of nano-SiC In addition,the nanocomposites presented favorable biocompatibility and accelerated degradation caused by intergranular *** findings suggested that the nano-SiC reinforced Zn biocomposites may be the potential candidates for orthopedic implants.

Therefore, agricultural vocational colleges shall take the responsibility of providing the employment training to returned migrant workers is the obligation of agricultural vocational colleges and they are bound to be the camp for providing entrepreneurship training to returned farmers. Relying on its own characteristics and research strengths, the Jiangsu Animal Husbandry & Veterinary college has conducted rewarding research and practices on carrying out entrepreneurship training for farmers.

The problems in the cultivation of oral English teaching were reflected from the on-the-spot performance. A great number of candidates cannot make impromptu speeches and fail to further communicate in-depth. In this case, it calls on Higher vocational colleges to further cultivate the critical thinking ability of both English teachers and students under the background of the big data, thus truly improving students’ English communication to adapt to the rapid development of the times and conform to Talent Training Programs in higher vocational colleges.

Expanding Treatment Access for Chronic Hepatitis C with Task-shifting in the Era of Direct-acting Antivirals

In the United States,the fight to eradicate hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection has been ongoing for many years,but the results have been less than ***,patients with chronic hepatitis C (CHC) were treated with interferon-based regimens,which were associated with frequent adverse effects,suboptimal response rates,and long durations of treatment-of up to 48 *** from specialistphysicians,such as hepatologists and gastroenterologists,was needed to closely follow patients on these medications so as to monitor laboratory values and manage adverse ***,the emergence of direct-acting antiviral (DAA) agents against HCV infection have heralded outstanding progress in terms of safety,tolerability,lack of adverse effects,efficacy,and truncated duration of therapy-12 weeks or less-thereby making the need for close monitoring by specialist-physicians *** the recent approval of DAA agents by the Food and Drug Administration,the treatment model for CHC no longer relies on the limited number of specialist-physicians,which represented a major barrier to treatment access in the past,especially in underserved areas of the United *** propose and share our experiences in adapting a task-shifting treatment model,one that utilizes a relatively larger pool of non-specialist healthcare providers,such as nursing staff (medical assistants,vocational licensed nurses,registered nurses,etc.) and advanced practice providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants),to perform a variety of important clinical functions in an effort to make DAA-based antiviral therapy widely available against HCV *** recently,task-shifting was implemented by the United States and World Health Organization in the fight against the human immunodeficiency virus and showed encouraging *** on our experiences in implementing this model at our outreach clinics,the majority of HCV-infected patients treated with DAA agents can be easily monitored by
