Reinforced concrete(RC)flat slabs,a popular choice in construction due to their flexibility,are susceptible to sudden and brittle punching shear *** design methods often exhibit significant bias and *** estimation of punching shear strength in RC flat slabs is crucial for effective concrete structure design and *** study introduces a novel computation method,the jellyfish-least square support vector machine(JS-LSSVR)hybrid model,to predict punching shear *** combining machine learning(LSSVR)with jellyfish swarm(JS)intelligence,this hybrid model ensures precise and reliable *** model’s development utilizes a real-world experimental data *** with seven established optimizers,including artificial bee colony(ABC),differential evolution(DE),genetic algorithm(GA),and others,as well as existing machine learning(ML)-based models and design codes,validates the superiority of the JS-LSSVR hybrid *** innovative approach significantly enhances prediction accuracy,providing valuable support for civil engineers in estimating RC flat slab punching shear strength.

Evaluation and Promotion of the Service Capacity of Urban Public Open Spaces Based on Improving Accessibility:A Case Study of Shenyang City,China

The service capacity of urban public open spaces is an important indicator of the justness and soundness of the allocation of public space resources,such as parks and green spaces,in the process of urban *** the service capacity of urban public open spaces is conductive to healthy,sustainable urban *** this study,taking Shengyang City,China as a case study,a Gaussian-based two-step floating catchment area method(2 SFCA)is used to calculate an accessibility index and identify residential areas with a poor accessibility to urban public open ***,a particle swarm algorithm(PSA)is used to optimize the locations of new open space ***,the optimization results are verified using the analytic network process(ANP).The results show that the service capacity of public open spaces in the center of Shenyang City(covering six districts)is relatively low and exhibits an uneven spatial *** the service scope of the existing urban public open spaces,the accessibility for 48.6%of the residential estates is moderately poor or *** layout is optimized when the number of optimization points is set to *** points are mainly located in old town areas such as the Tiexi,Huanggu,and Dadong *** optimization increases the green space area accessible by motor vehicles(60 min),bicycles(60 min),and walking(30 min)by 4.67%,5.38%,and 8.03%of the study area,***,green space planning recommendations are offered from two perspectives:spatial layout and transport system optimization.

Spatial Structure of Urban Residents’ Leisure Activities: A Case Study of Shenyang, China

The spatial characteristics of residents’ leisure activities not only reflect their demand for urban leisure space but also affect the urban spatial layout. This study takes Shenyang, China as an example and analyzes the characteristics of residents’ leisure activities through questionnaires. On this basis, it uses point of interest data and mobile phone signaling data to identify various types of residential and leisure functional relationships, and uses spatial analysis and community detection to assess the distance characteristics, flow patterns, and community structure of residents’ leisure activities, so as to discuss the spatial structure of residents’ leisure activities in Shenyang. The results showed that: (1) in addition to leisure at home, Shenyang residents mainly went to shopping malls, supermarkets,and parks for leisure activities, and the proportions of residents of the two types of leisure activities were approximately equal;(2) the average distances that residents traveled for shopping and park leisure were near in the middle and far in the periphery, and the travel costs of peripheral residents for centrally located leisure were higher than those for residents in central areas;(3) the flow patterns of the residential-shopping and residential-park functional relationships displayed clustering mode characteristics, and Shenyang presented a significant monocentric structure;and (4) residents’ shopping activities were concentrated in the southern community, and walking in the park activities were concentrated in the western community. Residents’ leisure activities were characterized by centripetal agglomeration,which was prone to problems such as traffic congestion and big city diseases. The spatial expansion process in the city was characterized by obvious directional inheritance and path dependence, and the construction of sub-cities is needed to improve the related service facilities.

Hypoxic-ischemic brain injury （HI-BI） is one of the most common causes of severe neurological disability, Some studies have reported diffusion tensor imaging （DTI） findings of neonatal patients with HI-BI. however, very little is known about DTI in the adult brain. The present study reports on a 15-year-old male patient with HI-BI, who exhibited no specific focal lesions on conventional brain MRI at 5 weeks. however, neural tract injuries were revealed by DTI. Seven control subjects were also evaluated. The patient suffered from cardiac arrest due to ventricular fibrillation for a period of 10 15 minutes. At 4 weeks after onset of cardiac arrest, although he was conscious and alert, he exhibited mild quadriparesis and severe cognitive dysfunction. DTI was acquired at 5 weeks after HI-BI onset. Decreased fractional anisotropy or voxel number of neural tracts suggested partial injury of the corticospinal tract, fornix, and cingulum. Disruptions of the fornix and cingulum on DTI confirmed neural tract injury. DTI could serve as a useful tool for evaluating the state of neural tracts in patients with HI-BI.

Virus-induced gene silencing of SlPYL4 decreases the drought tolerance of tomato

The abscisic acid(ABA)receptor PYR/PYL/RCAR,located upstream of the ABA signaling pathway,recognizes ABA signals and initiates the primary process of signal *** our previous study,we found that the PYL4 gene in tomato plants was significantly upregulated after exogenous treatment with the hormone *** present study used virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)to further elucidate the role of the PYL4 gene in response to drought in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)*** the drought treatment,the SlPYL4-silenced plants wilted faster than the control plants *** indicators showed that the total reactive oxygen species(ROS)content and superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD)and catalase(CAT)activities of the SlPYL4-silenced plants were lower than those of the control plants after 3 and 6 h of drought stress *** 3 h of drought treatment,hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)) and superoxide anion(O_(2)^(−).)accumulatedmuch more in the leaves of the SlPYL4-silenced plants than in the leaves of the control *** results indicated that PYL4 plays a positive role in drought tolerance in tomato *** results also suggest that SlPYL4 is located upstream of the ABA pathway to regulate the expression of PP2C,SnRK,and AREB/ABF genes.

With the rapid development of population and urbanization and the progress of lighting technology, the influence of artificial light sources has *** this context, the problem of light pollution has attracted wide *** studies have revealed that light pollution can affect biological living environments, human physical and mental health, astronomical observations and many other ***, organizations internationally have begun to advocate for measures to prevent light pollution, many of which are recognized by the International Dark-Sky Association(IDA).In addition to improving public awareness, legal protections, technical treatments and other means, the construction of Dark Sky Reserves(DSR) has proven to be an effective preventive *** far, as a pioneer practice in this field, the IDA has identified 11 DSRs *** on the DA requirements for DSRs, this paper utilizes NPP-VIIRS nighttime light data and other multi-source spatial data to analyze possible DSR sites in *** land of China was divided into more than ten thousand 30 km × 30 km fishnets, and constraint and suitable conditions were designated, respectively, as light and cloud conditions, and scale, traffic and attractiveness *** a multiple criteria evaluation, 1443 fishnets were finally selected as most suitable sites for the construction of *** found that less than 25% of China is not subject to light pollution, and less than 13% is suitable for DSR construction, primarily in western and northern areas, including Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu and Inner Mongolia.

Rare-earth phosphates(REPO4)are regarded as one of the promising thermal/environmental barrier coating(T/EBC)materials for SiCf/SiC ceramic matrix composites(SiC-CMCs)owing to their excellent resistance to water vapor and CaO–MgO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)(CMAS).Nevertheless,a relatively high thermal conductivity(κ)of the REPO_(4) becomes the bottleneck for their practical *** this work,novel xenotime-type high-entropy(Dy_(1/7)ho_(1/7)Er_(1/7)Tm_(1/7)Yb_(1/7)Lu_(1/7)Y_(1/7))PO4(HE(7RE_(1/7))PO_(4))has been designed and synthesized for the first time to solve this ***(7RE_(1/7))PO_(4) with a homogeneous rare-earth element distribution exhibits high thermal stability up to 1750℃and good chemical compatibility with SiO_(2) up to 1400℃.In addition,the thermal expansion coefficient(TEC)of HE(7RE_(1/7))PO_(4)(5.96×10^(−6)℃^(−1) from room temperature(RT)to 900℃)is close to that of the *** is more,the thermal conductivities of HE(7RE_(1/7))PO_(4)(from 4.38 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 100℃to 2.25 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 1300℃)are significantly decreased compared to those of single-component REPO4 with the minimum value ranging from 9.90 to 4.76 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1).These results suggest that HE(7RE_(1/7))PO_(4) has the potential to be applied as the T/EBC materials for the SiC-CMCs in the future.

This article presents a new scheme for dynamic data optimization in IoT(Internet of Things)-assisted sensor *** various components of IoT assisted cloud platform are *** addition,a new architecture for IoT assisted sensor networks is ***,a model for data optimization in IoT assisted sensor networks is proposed.A novel Membership inducing Dynamic Data Optimization Membership inducing Dynamic Data Optimization(MIDDO)algorithm for IoT assisted sensor network is proposed in this *** proposed algorithm considers every node data and utilized membership function for the optimized data *** proposed framework is compared with two stage optimization,dynamic stochastic optimization and sparsity inducing optimization and evaluated in terms of reliability ratio,coverage ratio and sensing *** optimization was performed based on the availability of cloud resource,sensor energy,data flow volume and the centroid of each *** was inferred that the proposed MIDDO algorithm achieves an average performance ratio of 76.55%,reliability ratio of 94.74%,coverage ratio of 85.75%and sensing error of 0.154.

Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)poses a critical threat to global health and development,with environmental factors—particularly in urban areas—contributing significantly to the spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs).however,most research to date has been conducted at a local level,leaving significant gaps in our understanding of the global status of antibiotic resistance in urban *** address this issue,we thoroughly analyzed a total of 86,213 ARGs detected within 4,728 metagenome samples,which were collected by the Meta SUB International Consortium involving diverse urban environments in 60 cities of 27 countries,utilizing a deep-learning based *** findings demonstrated the strong geographical specificity of urban environmental resistome,and their correlation with various local socioeconomic and medical *** also identified distinctive evolutionary patterns of ARG-related biosynthetic gene clusters(BGCs)across different countries,and discovered that the urban environment represents a rich source of novel *** study provides a comprehensive overview of the global urban environmental resistome,and fills a significant gap in our knowledge of large-scale urban antibiotic resistome analysis.

This paper presents an approach to the challenging is- sue of passive source localization in shallow water using a mobile short horizontal linear array with length less than ten meters. The short array can be conveniently placed on autonomous underwa- ter vehicles and deployed for adaptive spatial sampling. however, the use of such small aperture passive sonar systems makes it difficult to acquire sufficient spatial gain for localizing long-range sources. To meet the requirement, a localization approach that employs matched-field based techniques that enable the short ho- rizontal linear array is used to passively localize acoustic sources in shallow water. Furthermore, the broadband processing and inter-position processing provide robustness against ocean en- vironmental mismatch and enhance the stability of the estimation process. The proposed approach＇s ability to localize acoustic sources in shallow water at different signal-to-noise ratios is examined through the synthetic test cases where the sources are located at the endfire and some other bearing of the mobile short horizontal linear array. The presented results demonstrate that the positional parameters of the estimated source build up over time as the array moves at a low speed along a straight line at a constant depth.
