Public transport inclusion and active aging: A systematic review on elderly mobility

Global aging has brought attention to addressing the elderly mobility dilemma,and a commitment to address inclusive transport in *** inclusion for older adults aims at establishing an age-friendly transport *** a direct policy goal and promoting active aging as an indirect social goal,to help older populations gain access to transport and social *** on the analysis of scientific knowledge mapping over the past 30 years,this study visualizes the hotspots and trends in elderly mobility *** a qualitative analysis of 138 papers,this paper reviews the theoretical foundations for transport inclusion and three themes of elderly mobility research,proposes a framework for public transport(PT)inclusion research as well as future research *** study suggests that transport inclusion can help enhance elderly health,social participation,and subjective *** can improve their travel opportunities for active aging in four ways:opportunity accessibility,physical accessibility,age-friendly informationalization,and cost *** research should pay attention to examining the mechanism of perceived transport inclusion on active aging,expanding the multilevel research space of the capability approach(CA),and exploring the subjectiveobjective integrated research model for PT *** research contributes to the overall knowledge of the theoretical and empirical researches on PT inclusion for the elderly and promotes the integrated application of interdisciplinary knowledge in the field.

Urban-rural integration is an advanced form resulting from the future evolution of urban-rural ***,little research has explored whether urban and rural areas can move from dual segmentation to integrated development from a theoretical or empirical *** on the research framework of welfare economics,which offers an appealing paradigm to frame the underlying game between cities and villages,this study clarifies the ideal state of urban-rural *** then proposes a series of basic assumptions,and constructs a corresponding objective function and its ***,it assesses the possibility of seeing the transmutation from division to integration between urban and rural areas with continuous socio-economic *** authors argue that the ideal state of urban-rural integration should be a Pareto-driven optimal allocation of urban-rural resources and outputs,and the maximization of social welfare in the entire *** on a systematic demonstration using mathematical models,the study proposes that urban and rural areas can enter this ideal integrated development pattern when certain parameter conditions are *** general,this study demonstrates the theoretical logic and scientific foundations of urban-rural integration,enriches theoretical studies about urban-rural relationships,and provides basic theoretical support for large developing countries to build a coordinated and orderly urban-rural community with a shared future.

The transaction-level analysis of security price changes by Madhavan,Richardson,and Roomans(1997,hereafter MRR)is a useful framework for financial *** first-order Markov property of trading indicator variables is a critical assumption in the MRR model,which contradicts the information lag empirically demonstrated in high-frequency trading *** this study,a nonparametric test is employed,which shows that the Markov property of the trading indicator variables is rejected on most trading *** on the spread decomposed structure,an MA-MRR model was proposed with a moving average structure adopted to absorb the information lag as an *** empirical results show that the information lag plays an important role in measuring the adverse selection risk parameter and that the difference in this parameter between the original and the extension is ***,our analysis suggests that the information lag parameter is a useful measure of the average speed at which information is incorporated into prices.

Central environmental protection inspection and carbon emission reduction: A tripartite evolutionary game model from the perspective of carbon neutrality

Since the carbon neutrality target was proposed,many countries have been facing severe challenges to carbon emission reduction *** study is conducted using a tripartite evolutionary game model to explore the impact of the central environmental protection inspection(CEPI)on driving carbon emission reduction,and to study what factors influence the strategic choices of each party and how they interact with each *** research results suggest that local governments and manufacturing enterprises would choose strategies that are beneficial to carbon reduction when CEPI *** the initial willingness of all parties increases 20%,50%—80%,the time spent for the whole system to achieve stability decreases from 100%,60%—30%.The evolutionary result of“thorough inspection,regulation implementation,low-carbon management”is the best strategy for the tripartite evolutionary ***,the smaller the cost and the larger the benefit,the greater the likelihood of the three-party game stability strategy *** study has important guiding significance for other developing countries to promote carbon emission reduction by environmental policy.

Spatial Structure of Peer Networks and Academic Achievement Based on a Random Control Trial Experiment

This paper investigates whether changing the seating arrangement in a classroom can facilitate positive spillovers from top-performing students to others,using a field experiment conducted in a Chinese high *** study groups with balanced abilities,the treatment altered the spatial distribution by assigning the two top students to seats in the spatial center of each *** the reference groups where students were allowed to choose their own seating arrangements,the lowest performing were significantly less likely to sit next to a top student than they would be under a random *** results suggest that,in the treated groups,there could be enhanced academic spillovers from the top *** treatment especially benefited the two lowest performing students in science *** contrast,the treatment exerted negative effects on the test scores of the two middle-performing students,due to a disruption *** results suggest that the spatial layout of a peer network can have a significant impact on learning outcomes.

Can Industrial Structure Upgrading Restrain Industrial Land Expansion?Evidence from China

China has made great achievements in industrial development and is transforming into a powerful manufacturing ***,the industrial land scale is also ***,whether industrial structure upgrading achieves the purpose of restraining industrial land expansion remains *** calculating the industrial land structure index(ILSI)and industrial land expansion scale(ILES),this study analyzed their temporal and spatial distribution characteristics at both regional and city levels from 2007to 2020 in *** show that industrial land expansion presents a different trend in the four regions,the ILES in the eastern region is the largest,and the speed of industrial land expansion has declined since 2013,but it has gradually increased since *** ILSI of the eastern and central regions is higher than that of the western and northeastern ***,a spatial Durbin model(SDM)has been established to estimate the spatial effect of industrial structure upgrading on industrial land expansion from 2007 ***,industrial structure upgrading has not slowed industrial land *** eastern and western regions require a greater amount of industrial land while upgrading the industrial *** improvement of the infrastructure level and international trade level has promoted industrial land expansion.

Principal Model Analysis Based on Bagging PLS and PCA and Its Application in Financial Statement Fraud

Motivated by the Bagging Partial Least Squares(Bagging PLS)and Principal Component Analysis(PCA)algorithms,a novel approach known as Principal Model Analysis(PMA)method is introduced in this *** the proposed PMA algorithm,the PCA and the Bagging PLS are *** this method,multiple PLS models are trained on sub-training sets,derived from the training set using the random sampling with replacement *** regression coefficients of all the sub-PLS models are fused in a joint regression coefficient *** final projection direction is then estimated by performing the PCA on the joint regression coefficient ***,the proposed PMA method is compared with other traditional dimension reduction methods,such as PLS,Bagging PLS,Linear discriminant analysis(LDA)and *** results on six public datasets demonstrate that our proposed method consistently outperforms other approaches in terms of classification performance and exhibits greater ***,it is employed in the application of financial statement fraud *** and other five algorithms are utilized to financial statement fraud which concerned by the academic community,and the results indicate that the classification of PMA surpassed that of the other methods.

Shikimic acid accelerates phase change and flowering in Chinese jujube

The juvenile-to-adult phase change with first flowering as the indicator plays a crucial role in the lifecycle of fruit trees. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying phase change in fruit trees remain largely unknown. Shikimic acid (ShA) pathway is a main metabolic pathway closely related to the synthesis of hormones and many important secondary metabolites participating in plant phase change. So,whether ShA regulates phase change in plants is worth clarifying. Here, the distinct morphological characteristics and the underlying mechanisms of phase change in jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.), an important fruit tree native to China with nutritious fruit and outstanding tolerance abiotic stresses, were clarified. A combined transcriptome and metabolome analysis found that ShA is positively involved in jujube(Yuhong’×Xing 16’) phase change. The genes in the upstream of ShA synthesis pathway (ZjDAHPS, ZjDHQS and ZjSDH), the contents of ShA and the downstream secondary metabolites like phenols were significantly upregulated in the phase change period. Further, the treatment of spraying exogenous ShA verified that ShA at a very low concentration (60 mg·L^(-1)) can substantially speed up the phase change and flowering of jujube and other tested plants including Arabidopsis, tomato and wheat. The exogenous ShA (60 mg·L^(-1)) treatment in jujube seedlings could increase the accumulation of endogenous ShA, enhance leaf photosynthesis and the synthesis of phenols especially flavonoids and phenolic acids, and promote the expression of genes (ZjCOs, ZjNFYs and ZjPHYs) involved in flowering pathway. Basing on above results, we put forward a propose for the underlying mechanism of ShA regulating phase change, and a hypothesis that ShA could be considered a phytohormone-like substance because it is endogenous, ubiquitous, movable and highly efficient at very low concentrations. In this study,we explore the causes and performance outcomes of switching costs in the context of new product development(NPD)from both the supplier and customer perspectives,and discuss the role that switching costs play as moderators and mediators in the relationship between social capital and NPD *** on data from 214 Chinese manufacturers,we employ the structural equation model to test our conceptual model and *** results indicate that relationship quality and customer involvement positively and negatively affect switching costs,respectively,and that switching costs negatively affect NPD *** costs mediate and moderate the relationship between social capital and NPD ***,switching costs significantly and positively moderate the relationship between relationship quality and NPD *** the other hand,switching costs insignificantly and negatively moderate the relationship between customer involvement and NPD *** theoretical and managerial implications of the findings are discussed.
