In this article, the recent progress made by Peking University is briefly introduced. Based on Theory of countercurrent Extraction established by Prof. Guangxian Xu, the static equilibrium and dynamic process for two- and three-outlet countercurrent extractions, and designed the optimized parameters for the real cascades to separate different rare earth minerals, which can be scaled-up to the industrial process without any further experimental verification were systematically investigated. In order to stabilize the quality of products and improve the capability of automation for extraction process, we have also established an (()^(241)Am) stimulated X-ray fluorescent energy dispersive method to detect the elemental composition in both organic and aqueous phases, which can be used as an on-line analysis method in practice. Furthermore, the expert system and the control software with open- and close-loop models have been set up. combined with the detected data from on-line analysis, the flow-rates of extracting, feeding, scrubbing and stripping solutions can be (controlled) in an optimum status for the industrial cascades. In addition, we have developed a new multi-input and multi-output countercurrent extraction process for separating multi-component rare earth mixture with lower chemical cost and pollution.

In forensic investigations,it is vital that the authenticity of digital evidence should be ensured. In addition,technical means should be provided to ensure that digital evidence collected cannot be misused for the purpose of perjury. In this paper,we present a method to ensure both authenticity and non-misuse of data extracted from wireless mobile devices. In the method,the device ID and a timestamp become a part of the original data and the Hash function is used to bind the data together. Encryption is applied to the data,which includes the digital evidence,the device ID and the timestamp. Both symmetric and asymmetric encryption systems are employed in the proposed method where a random session key is used to encrypt the data while the public key of the forensic server is used to encrypt the session key to ensure security and efficiency. With the several security mechanisms that we show are supported or can be implemented in wireless mobile devices such as the Android,we can ensure the authenticity and non-misuse of data evidence in digital forensics.

Event evolution analysis which provides an effective approach to capture the main context of a story from explosive increased news texts has become the critical basis for many real applications,such as crisis and emergency management and decision ***,the development of societal risk events which may cause some possible harm to society or individuals has been heavily concerned by both the government and the *** order to capture the evolution and trends of societal risk events,this paper presents an improved algorithm based on the method of information *** contains an event-level cluster generation algorithm and an evaluation *** main work includes:1)Word embedding representation is adopted and event-level clusters are chosen as nodes of the events evolution chains which may comprehensively present the underlying structure of ***,clusters that consist of risk-labeled events enable to illustrate how events evolve along the time with transitions of risks.2)One real-world case,the event of"Chinese Red Cross",is studied and a series of experiments are conducted.3)An evaluation algorithm is proposed on the basis of indicators of map construction without massive human-annotated *** approach for event evolution analysis automatically generates a visual evolution of societal risk events,displaying a clear and structural picture of events development.

BACKGROUND Many Ayurvedic preparations are claimed to have immune-boosting properties,as suggested in various published randomized clinical trials(RCTs)AIM To compile evidence on the nature and mechanism of immune system enhancement by Ayurvedic preparations in healthy and sick *** After prospectively registering study protocol with PROSPERO,we searched PubMed,DOAJ,Google Scholar,three dedicated Ayurveda research portals,two specialty Ayurveda journals,and reference lists for relevant records published until February 6,2021 using appropriate search *** features and data pertaining to the nature and mechanism of immune system function were extracted from all eligible *** quality was assessed using the cochrane RoB-2 *** Of 12554 articles screened,19 studies reporting 20 RCTs(17 parallel group design,three crossover design)with 1661 unique patients were included;11/19 studies had Indian first *** population was included in nine studies,of which one study included pregnant women and two included pediatric population;remaining studies included patients with different health conditions,including one study with coronavirus disease 2019 patients.A total of 21 Ayurvedic interventions were studied,out of which five were composite *** predominant route of administration was oral;dose and frequency of administration of the intervention varied across the *** results reported with five RCTs exploring five Ayurvedic interventions were incomplete,ambiguous,or *** the remaining 16 interventions,indirect evidence of immune enhancement was reported with four interventions,while lack of the same was reported with two *** of T helper cells and natural killer cells was reported with three and four interventions,respectively,while the pooled results did not clearly point toward enhancement of other components of the immune system,including cytotoxic T cells,B lymphocyte

During the last decade, China rare earth （RE） industry has made significant progress and become one of the most important producers in the world. In this paper, the recent developments in both fundamental research and industrial application are briefly reviewed：（1） the development and application of Theory of countercurrent Extraction, （2） the novel solvent extraction process and its application in industry for separating heavy rare earth elements （Tm, Yb, Lu）, yttrium （Y）, and scandium （Sc）, （3） the on-line analysis and automatic control of countercurrent extraction, （4） the eco-friendly process for RE/Th separation of bastnasite in Sichuan Province and electrochemical process for Eu/RE separation, and （5） the optimized flowcharts for typical rare earth minerals in China.

Background: The 11th Annual conference of Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association was held on July 22-25, 2007 in Taipei, Taiwan. The first author participated in this annual conference where he met the second author who was invited to deliver two plenary speeches on corporate Governance and Financial Institution Regulation [1] and Alternative Investments for Financial Institutions [2]. The first author was then working as consultant with i-flex solutions, a subsidiary of Oracle and the second author was Vice President of Strategic Business Initiatives Units at ING Life Insurance in its Taiwan operation. The two authors decided to start collaborating on a research paper titled “Modeling Policyholder Behavior through Insurance Resonant Marts for Pricing Options and Guarantees.” The first version of the paper was submitted for research purposes to ING Insurance Risk Management Global conference 2007 [3] which was held in Beijing, China. Although it was neither presented nor published, the working draft was constantly updated and revised. In 2015, after eight years of continuous research collaboration, the two authors decided to submit the final version of the paper to the 5th World congress on Engineering and Technology for scholarly presentation. Aim: The competition in the insurance industry is extremely fierce. Insurance companies are under tremendous pressure to retain and increase their customer base, to offer services at attractive rates and provide returns competitive with mutual funds, equities and banks, to achieve profitability across various lines of insurance, to comply with statutory norms etc. Despite having the best of breeds, such as accountants, actuaries [4], lawyers, underwriters, IT experts, consultants, etc., many insurance companies face severe problems to cope with and survive under such pressures. Electrode Effect on Separation of Yb/Tm, Lu by an Electrolytic Reduction Process in Sulphate Medium

YbSO4 purification by an electrolytic reduction method from Tm-Yb-Lu concentrates in sulphate medium was studied, in which Ru-Ir-Ti alloy nets and mercury were used as anode and cathode respectively under normal atmosphere without nitrogen or argon gas protection. The parameters of the electrodes, such as their areas, positions, and the distance between the anode and cathode were optimized for the electrolytic reduction process. By the optimal process, the product YbSO4 is purified to 99. 5% with recovery of 80%. Meanwhile, Lu is also concentrated into 50%, which is beneficial to its further purification.
