Polypyride intercalation boosting the kinetics and stability of V_(3)O_(7)·H_(2)O cathodes for aqueous zinc-ion batteries

V_(3)O_(7)·H_(2)O(VO)is a high capacity cathode material in the field of aqueous zinc ion batteries(AZIBs),but it is limited by slow ion migration and low electrical *** this paper,polypyridine(PPyd)intercalated VO with nanoribbon structure was prepared by a simple in-situ pre-intercalation,which is noted *** total density of states(TDOS)shows that after the pre-intercalation of PPyd,an intermediate energy level appears between the valence band and conduction band,which provides a step that can effectively reduce the band gap and enhance the electron ***,the density functional theory(DFT)results found that Zn^(2+)is more easily de-intercalated from the V-O skeleton,which proves that the embeddedness of PPyd improves the diffusion kinetics of Zn^(2+).Electrochemical studies have shown that VO-PPyd cathode materials exhibit excellent rate performance(high specific capacity of 465 and 192 mA h g^(-1)at 0.2 and 10 A g^(-1),respectively)and long-term cycling performance(92.7%capacity retention rate after 5300 cycles),due to their advantages in structure and *** importantly,the energy density of VO-PPyd//Zn at 581 and 5806 W kg^(-1)is 375 and 247 W h kg^(-1),***-PPyd exhibits excellent electrochemical properties compared to previously reported vanadium based cathodes,which makes it highly competitive in the field of high-performance cathode materials of AZIBs.

Deployment and Exploration of a gas Storage Well Pattern Based on the Threshold Radius

To tackle the problem that wells that are deployed in a specific pattern based on the requirements of gas reservoir development are not suitable for gas storage,we have conducted concentrically circular injection and production simulation experiments for gas storage,discovered the existence of a threshold radius,denoted by Rt,and derived the expression for *** on the analysis and discussion results,we propose a strategy for deploying gas storage wells in specific *** expression for Rt shows that it is affected by factors such as the gas storage gas production/injection time,the upper pressure limit,the lower pressure limit,the bottomhole flow pressure at the ends of injection and production,the and *** analysis and discussion results show that the Rt of a gas storage facility is much smaller than the Rt for gas reservoir *** the gas storage facilities in China,the Rt for gas production is less than the Rt for the gas injection,and Rt increases with the difference in the operating pressure and with permeability *** on the characteristics of Rt,we propose three suggestions for gas storage well pattern deployment:(1)calculate Rt according to the designed functions of the gas storage facility and deploy the well pattern according to Rt;(2)deploy sparser,large-wellbore patterns in high-permeability areas and denser,small-wellbore patterns in high-permeability areas;and(3)achieve the gas injection well pattern by new drilling,and the gas production well pattern through a combination of the gas injection well pattern and old *** assessing a gas storage facility with a perfect well pattern after a number of adjustments,we found that the Rt of the 12 wells calculated in this paper is basically close to the corresponding actual radius,which validates our *** results of this study provide a methodological basis for well pattern deployment in new gas storage construction.

Deep shale reservoirs(3500–4500 m)exhibit significantly different stress states than moderately deep shale reservoirs(2000–3500 m).As a result,the brittleness response mechanisms of deep shales are also *** is urgent to investigate methods to evaluate the brittleness of deep shales to meet the increasingly urgent needs of deep shale gas *** this paper,the quotient of Young’s modulus divided by Poisson’s ratio based on triaxial compression tests under in situ stress conditions is taken as SSBV(Static Standard Brittleness Value).A new and pragmatic technique is developed to determine the static brittleness index that considers elastic parameters,the mineral content,and the in situ stress conditions(BIEMS).The coefficient of determination between BIEMS and SSBV reaches 0.555 for experimental data and 0.805 for field *** coefficient is higher than that of other brittleness indices when compared to *** can offer detailed insights into shale brittleness under various conditions,including different mineral compositions,depths,and stress *** technique can provide a solid data-based foundation for the selection of‘sweet spots’for single-well engineering and the comparison of the brittleness of shale gas production layers in different areas.

To improve the brittleness characteristics of magnesium phosphate cement-based materials(MPC)and to promote its promotion and application in the field of structural reinforcement and repair,this study aimed to increase the toughness of MPC by adding jute fiber,explore the effects of different amounts of jute fiber on the working and mechanical properties of MPC,and prepare jute fiber reinforced magnesium phosphate cement-based materials(JFRMPC)to reinforce damaged *** improvement effect of beam performance before and after reinforcement was compared,and the strengthening and toughening mechanisms of jute fiber on MPC were explored through microscopic *** experimental results show that,as the content of jute fiber(JF)increases,the fluidity and setting time of MPC decrease continuously;When the content of jute fiber is 0.8%,the compressive strength,flexural strength,and bonding strength of MPC at 28 days reach their maximum values,which are increased by 18.0%,20.5%,and 22.6%compared to those of M0,*** beam strengthened with JFRMPC can withstand greater deformation,with a deflection of 2.3 times that of the unreinforced beam at *** strain of the steel bar is greatly reduced,and the initial crack and failure loads of the reinforced beam are increased by 192.1%and 16.1%,respectively,compared to those of the unreinforced *** JF added to the MPC matrix dissipates energy through tensile fracture and debonding pull-out,slowing down stress concentration and inhibiting the free development of cracks in the matrix,enabling JFRMPC to exhibit higher strength and better *** JF does not cause the hydration of MPC to generate new compounds but reduces the amount of hydration products generated.

Lead-free halide double perovskite has received widespread attention due to its excellent optical ***,the lack of deep red light and poor heat quenching resistance severely limit its application in plant lighting *** this work,Ho^(3+) was introduced into the thermally stable Cs_(2)NaScCl_(6)host,exhibiting a deep red emission of 660 *** constructing an energy transfer channel between Sb^(3+)and Ho^(3+),the photo luminescence quantum yield(PLQY) of Cs_(2)NaScCl_(6):1%Sb^(3+),40%Ho^(3+) rises up to53.8%,that is increased by 17 times,and its emission intensity can still be maintained by 80% at 423 K,exhibiting good heat quenching *** obtained Cs_(2)NaScCl_(6):1%Sb^(3+),40%Ho^(3+) and Cs_(2)NaScCl_(6):1%Sb^(3+) with blue light emission were employed for fabricating a light-emitting diode(LED) device with a340 nm UV chip,and its emission spectrum matches well the absorption spectra of chlorophyll A and chlorophyll B with the high resemblance of 70% and 75%,making it suitable for use as an artificial light source to control the growth process of plants in the field of plant lighting.

An investigation was conducted on the effect of organic matter （OM） and pH on mercury （Hg） release from soils. Hg release flux was measured using the dynamic flux chamber （DFC） combined with the Lumex multifunctional mercury analyzer in both laboratory experiment and field monitoring. The results showed that Hg emission from the OM-added soils was apparently low because of the high affinity of OM to Hg, resulting in the reverse order as the amount of OM addition. Meanwhile, Hg release flux from different pH value soils exhibited the same trend for both Hg^2＋ and Hg2^2＋ treatment, increasing the Hg flux with pH value of soils increasing. The trend of Hg release in the pH dependence experiment has been well in agreement with that from the field test. In addition, Hg release seemed to be related to its species in the soil, the flux from Hg^2＋-added soil was obviously higher than that of Hg2^2＋-added soil by the laboratory experiment.

Accurate simulation of lightning-induced overvoltage for overhead distribution lines is helpful to prevent lightning trip *** electromagnetic return-stroke model was used to represent lightning and then a 3D finite-difference time-domain(FDTD)method was adopted to simulate the lightning-induced overvoltage on a distribution line without a field-line coupling *** lightning-induced overvoltage behave for different ground conductivity and varying distance between the distribution line and the lightning channel was *** results showed that the overvoltage waveforms at the centre point of the line corresponding to lightning strikes on the lossy ground and an ideal ground(σ=∞)were similar;however,the peak amplitudes of the waveform were affected by soil conductivity at a close *** relationship between magnitude of the overvoltage and distance can be described by a second-order exponential decay ***,the overvoltage calculated using the proposed model was compared with those obtained based on Agrawal's model and measurements made using the newly developed intelligent insulator on *** these comparisons,it could be concluded that the FDTD method with the electromagnetic return-stroke model produces reasonably accurate results of the attenuated oscillation waveform,which can better reproduce the overvoltage on operational distribution lines.

Rechargeable magnesium batteries(RMBs)have attracted tremendous attention in energy storage ap-plications in term of high abundance,high specific capacity and remarkable safety of metallic magne-sium(Mg)***,a serious passivation of Mg anode in the conventional electrolytes leads to extremely poor plating/stripping performance,further hindering its ***,we propose a convenient method to construct an artificial interphase layer on Mg anode by substitution and alloy-ing reactions between SbCl_(3) and *** Sb-based artificial interphase layer containing mainly MgCl_(2) and Mg_(3) Sb_(2) endows the significantly improved interfacial kinetics and electrochemical performance of Mg *** overpotential of Mg plating/stripping in conventional Mg(TFSI)2/DME electrolytes is vastly reduced from over 2 V to 0.25-0.3 *** experiments and calculations,we demonstrate that un-der the uniform distribution of MgCl_(2) and Mg_(3) Sb_(2),an electric field with a favorable potential gradient is formed on the anode surface,which enables swift Mg^(2+)***,this layer can inhibit the decomposition of electrolytes to protect *** work provides an in-depth exploration of the artificial solid-electrolyte interface(SEI)construction,and a more achievable and safe path to realize the application of metallic Mg anode in RMBs.

Extremely powerful astrophysical electromagnetic（EM） systems could be possible sources of highfrequency gravitational waves（HFGWs）. Here, based on properties of magnetars and gamma-ray bursts（GRBs）, we address ＂Gamma-HFGWs＂（with very high-frequency around 1020 Hz） caused by ultra-strong EM radiation（in the radiation-dominated phase of GRB fireballs） interacting with super-high magnetar surface magnetic fields（～1011 T）.By certain parameters of distance and power, the Gamma-HFGWs would have far field energy density ？gw around10-6, and they would cause perturbed signal EM waves of～10-20 W/m2 in a proposed HFGW detection system based on the EM response to GWs. Specially, Gamma-HFGWs would possess distinctive envelopes with characteristic shapes depending on the particular structures of surface magnetic fields of magnetars, which could be exclusive features helpful to distinguish them from background noise. Results obtained suggest that magnetars could be involved in possible astrophysical EM sources of GWs in the very high-frequency band, and Gamma-HFGWs could be potential targets for observations in the future.
