Dear Editor Panax notoginseng （Burk.） F.H. Chen （2n = 2x = 24, co.mon name sanqi or tianql）, belonging to the Araliaceae family, is a slow-growing plant species documented in the ancient Chinese medical literatures for its ability to ameliorate hemostasis and improve blood circulation （Wang et al., 2016）. After decades of pharmaco.ogical research, a variety of P. notoginseng-specific seco.dary metabolites （notably ginsenosides, notoginsenosides and gypenosides） were isolated, identified, and implicated in co.ferring medicinal properties （Wang et al., 2016）.

Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich-repeat(NLR)genes co.prise the largest family of plant disease-resis-tance *** NLR genes are phylogenetically divided into the TNL,CNL,and RNL *** co.y numbers and subclass co.position vary tremendously across angiosperm ***,the evolutionary associations between genomic NLR co.tent and eco.ogical adaptation,or between NLR co.tent and signal transduction co.ponents,are poorly characterized because of limited genome *** this study,we established an angiosperm NLR atlas(ANNA,https://***/ANNA/)that includes NLR genes from over 300 angiosperm *** ANNA,we revealed that NLR co.y numbers differ up to 66-fold among closely related species owing to rapid gene loss and ***,NLR co.traction was associated with adaptations to aquatic,parasitic,and carnivorous *** co.vergent NLR reduction in aquatic plants resembles the lack of NLR expansion during the long-term evolution of green algae before the co.onization of land.A co.evolutionary pattern between NLR subclasses and plant immune pathway co.ponents was also identified,suggesting that immune pathway deficiencies may drive TNL ***,we identified a co.served TNL lineage that may function independently of the EDS1-SAG101-NRG1 ***,these findings provide new insights into the evolution of NLR genes in the co.text of eco.ogical adaptation and genome co.tent variation.

In Vitro Probiotic Effect of Pseudostellaria heterophylla Fibrous Roots on Feed Bacillus subtilis and Preliminary Study on Its Solid Fermentation

Traditional Chinese medicine Pseudostellaria heterophylla fibrous roots have been widely studied and applied in non-antibiotic clinical breeding of livestock and poultry. In vitro probiotic effect of P. heterophylla fibrous roots extract on feed probiotics Bacillus subtilis BD-K010 was studied, and the feasibility of solid fermentation of P. heterophylla fibrous roots was preliminarily evaluated. For in vitro probiotic effect, the increased co.centration of P. heterophylla fibrous roots extract dependently increased the total biomass of B. subtilis BD-K010;1.0% P. heterophylla fibrous roots extract received the best effect, and the final p H of 1.0% experimental group was closer to neutral. Meantime, B. subtilis BD-K010 with optimum co.centration of P. heterophylla fibrous roots showed significantly higher in vitro antibacterial effect than the co.trol group(Pco.i and Staphyloco.cus aureus were improved by 51.99% and 63.16%, but it was ineffective to Salmonella. For solid fermentation, the profile of substrate co.plex and appendage flocculent structure on substrate surface at the end of fermenta-tion in experimental groups added with B. subtilis BD-K010 and cellulase plus BD-K010 were more co.plex;the live bacteria number, polysaccharide co.tent and saponin co.tent at fermentation end-point in two experimental groups were extremely higher than those in the co.trol group(Pco.ponents. It is of great significance to further de-velop and utilize P. heterophylla fibrous roots resources in modern animal husbandry.

In the current study,tea saponin,identified as the primary bioactive co.stituent in seed pomace of Camellia oleifera Abel.,was meticulously extracted and hydrolyzed to yield five known sapogenins:16-O-tiglogycamelliagnin B(a),camelliagnin A(b),16-O-angeloybarringtogenol C(c),theasapogenol E(d),theasapogenol F(e).Subsequent biotransformation of co.pound a facilitated the isolation of six novel metabolites(a1−a6).The anti-inflammatory potential of these co.pounds was assessed using pathogenassociated molecular patterns(PAMPs)and damage-associated molecular patterns molecules(DAMPs)-mediated cellular inflammation ***,co.pounds b and a2 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on both lipopolysaccharide(LPS)and high-mobility group box 1(HMGB1)-induced inflammation,surpassing the efficacy of the standard anti-inflammatory agent,***,co.pounds d,a3,and a6 selectivity targeted endogenous HMGB1-induced inflammation,showcasing a pronounced *** results undersco.e the therapeutic promise of *** seed pomace-derived co.pounds as potent agents for the management of inflammatory diseases triggered by infections and tissue damage.

Chlorination has been intensively investigated for use in water disinfection and pollutant elimination due to its efficacy and co.venience;however,the generation and transportation of chlorine and hypochlorite are energy-co.suming and *** this study,a novel binary photosensitizer co.sisting of anthraquinone-2-sulfonate(AQ2S)and graphene was synthesized via a p-p stack adsorption method;this co.pound co.ld allow for the chlorination of organic pollutants using on-site chlorine *** this photosensitive degradation process,sulfapyridine(SPY)was selected as a model pollutant and was deco.posed by the reactive species(Cl2-,Cland O2-)generated during the photosensitive oxidation of *** synthesized AQ2S/graphene exhibited superior activity,and the degradation rate of SPY was over 90%after 12 h of visible light irradiation with a kinetic co.stant of 0.2034h*** show that 20 mg AQ2S/GR at a 21%weight percentage of AQ2S in a pH 7 SPY solution with 1 mol/L Clachieved the highest kinetics rate at 0.353 h*** radical trapping experiments demonstrated that Cl2-and O2-were the dominant species involved in SPY deco.position under solar *** reusability and stability of this co.posite were verified by co.ducting a cycle experiment over five successive *** capacity of photodegradation still remained over 90%after these 5 *** current study provides an energyefficient and simple-operational approach for water phase SPY co.trol.

Objectives:A rapid and sensitive gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(GC–MS)method for quantitative and qualitative analysis of essential oil from Curcuma wenyujin rhizomes was ***:The essential oil of *** rhizomes was extracted by supercritical co. extraction(SFE).Six main bioactive co.pounds(eucalyptol,β-elemene,curzerene,germacrone,curdione,and curcumol)were analyzed in selected ion monitoring mode(SIM).Results:Curzerene is not originally present in *** rhizomes,but is a product of the transformation of furanodiene at high *** six target co.ponents demonstrated good linearity(R2>0.9979)over a relatively wide co.centration *** interday and intraday variations had relative standard deviation values less than 5%and the average reco.ery ranged from 96.95%to 100.04%.The limit of quantitation ranged from 0.032 to 0.235μg/*** developed method was successfully used to analyze the six co.pounds in 17 samples co.lected from different *** variation was observed for the co.centrations of the six *** addition,51 co.stituents were identified in *** rhizome essential oil,co.sisting of 87.66%of the total essential oil,including curdione,curzerene,dehydrocurdione,germacrone,1,4-bis(2-benzimidazoyl)benzene,neocurdione,curcumenone,andβ-***:The proposed method will be useful in the quality co.trol of *** rhizome essential oil production.
