Objective:Recently,the effects of Baduanjin(a traditional chinese mind-body exercise)on diabetes have attracted increasing attention,and relevant systematic reviews(SRs)have ***,the qualities of these SRs vary markedly,and their conclusions are inconsistent,which is not conducive to guiding *** sought to assess the quality of these SRs and provide more evidence for diabetes ***:A literature search was conducted in 7 databases from inception to December 1st,*** of randomized controlled trials investigating the effects of Baduanjin were identified.A Measurement Tool to Assess Systematic Reviews 2(AMSTAR-2)checklist,Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis(PRISMA)statement,and Grading of Recommendations Assessment,Development and Evaluation(GRADE)system were applied to evaluate the quality of the ***:Ten SRs were *** SRs were judged as critically low methodological quality by the AMSTAR-2 *** total PRISMA score of the included SRs ranged from 15 to 21,and the mean score was 18.60(1.90),indicating that all SRs had partial reporting *** outcomes were reported in the included studies,of which 25(41.67%)were judged as low quality,and 34(56.67%)as very low quality according to the GRADE system,indicating that the overall evidence quality of outcomes was not ***:Baduanjin seems to be an effective therapy for diabetes in improving glucose and lipid metabolism,mental health,quality of life,and waist-hip ratio(WHR).The overall quality of the SRs was less than *** conclusion should be treated with caution,and researchers should conduct higher-quality clinical studies following AMSTAR-2checklist,PRISMA statement,and GRADE system in the future.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Jiawei Simiao powder(JWSMP)combined with celecoxib for the treatment of acute gouty arthritis by conducting a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials(RCTs).Methods: The chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases,chinese Scientific Journal Database,Wanfang,Cochrane Library,EMBASE,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were searched from inception until December *** variables were analyzed using the mean difference(MD)for analysis,and dichotomous variables were used as risk *** with similar characteristics were pooled for meta-analysis,and heterogeneity was assessed using *** Cochrane Handbook was used to assess the risk of bias and *** 5.3 software was used to perform the ***: Thirteen RCTs involving 1007 patients were included in the *** quality of the included studies was low(unclear randomization processes and insufficient blinding reporting).The group receiving JWSMP combined with celecoxib showed significantly lower levels of serum uric acid(SUA,MD=−66.32,95%confidence interval(CI):−80.97 to−51.67,P<.001),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR,MD=−6.05,95%CI:−8.29 to−3.82,P<.001),C-reactive protein(CRP,MD=−7.39,95%CI:−11.15,−3.63,P<.001),and joint pain score(VAS score,MD=−2.14,95%CI:−2.4 to−1.88,P<.001)compared to celecoxib ***,the JWSMP combined group had a higher total effective rate(risk ratio=1.22,95%CI:1.14 to 1.29,P<.001)and fewer adverse compared to celecoxib ***: JWSMP combined with celecoxib is more effective than celecoxib alone in improving the total efficacy rate,alleviating joint pain,and improving SUA,ESR,and CRP *** also reduced the occurrence of adverse events caused by ***,the quality of the included studies was low,highlighting the need for further high-quality research with larger sample sizes and robust methodologies,such as double-blind randomization,to confirm these findings.

Objectives:To investigate the effectiveness and safety of Xingnaojing Injection(XNJ,醒脑静注射液)compared with naloxone for the treatment of acute alcohol intoxication(AAI),and provide the latest evidence through evidence-based ***:Seven electro-databases including Pub Med,EMBASE,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Databases,chinese Biomedical Literature Database,chinese Science and Technology Periodical Database(VIP)and Wanfang Database were searched from the inception to January *** controlled trials(RCTs)comparing XNJ with naloxone for patients with AAI and reporting at least one of the below outcomes were included:patients’conscious recovery time,stay length in emergency department,disappearance time of the ataxia symptom,the severity of the symptoms,the blood alcohol content as wel as the adverse *** quality of included trials was assessed using the risk of bias tool which recommended by the Cochrane Col ***-analysis was conducted by Review Manager 5.3 ***:Total y 141 trials with 13,901 patients were included in this review,al of them were assessed as unclear or high risk of *** showed that on the basis of routine therapy,standard dose XNJ(10–20 m L)may have similar results with naloxone on the recovery time of consciousness(MD 12 min,95%CI 7.2–17.4 min)and disappearance time of symptoms(MD 6 min,95%CI–13.8–25.8 min)for patients with *** dose of XNJ Injection(21–40 m L)may speed up the time(almost 1 h earlier).Combination of XNJ and naloxone seemed superior to the naloxone alone for al the relevant *** average difference of time in consciousness recovery was 2 h and the number of AAI patients whose consciousness recovery within 1 h was above 50%the combination group than in the control group(RR 1.42,95%CI 1.29 to 1.56).No severe adverse events or adverse reactions of XNJ were reported in the included ***:Low q

Objective： To investigate the effects of health education based on integrative therapy of chinese and Western medicine for type 2 diabetes mellitus（T2DM） from the aspects of knowledge, attitude and practice（KAP）, health-related quality of life（HRQo L）, body mass index（BMI） and glucose control. Methods： Patients were individually randomized into intervention group（receiving integrative education, n=120） and control group（receiving usual education, n=120）. The primary outcome was the changes in glycosylated hemoglobin A1c（HbA1c） levels after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months from baseline. Hierarchical linear models（HLMs） were used to assess within-group changes in outcomes over time and between-group differences in patterns of change. Secondary outcomes were KAP scores, HRQo L scores and BMI after 6 and 12 months, paired-sample t test was used to assess within-group changes in outcomes in 6 and 12 months, independent-sample t test was used to assess between-group differences in patterns of change. Results： HbA1c decreased statistically from baseline to 3 months, from 3 to 6 months, from 6 to 9 months and from 9 to 12 months in the intervention group（all P〈0.01）; and decreased significantly from baseline to 3 months, and from 3 to 6 months in the control group（P〈0.01）. There were significant between-group differences from baseline to 3 months（P=0.044）, from 6 to 9 months（P〈0.01） and from 9 to 12 months（P〈0.01）. Significant improvements in the intervention group along with significant between-group differences were found in KAP and HRQo L scores respectively（all P〈0.05）. The number in the intervention group of normal weight increased from 56 at baseline to 81（6 months）, 94（12 months）, the number in the control group were 63（baseline）, 69（6 months）, 70（12 months）, the χ~2 of hierarchical analysis of BMI were 6.93（P=0.075）, 10.31（P=0.016）, 15.53（P〈0.01）, respectively. Reporting Characteristics of Case Reports of Acupuncture Therapy with CARE Guidelines

Objective： To investigate the reporting characteristics of case reports of acupuncture therapy with CAse Report （CARE） guidelines, and to explore the applicability of the guidelines for these case reports. Methods： Case reports published from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2013, were identified by searching PubMed and the China Biomedicine Database by using MeSH terms. Screening and data extraction of case reports were conducted by two independent researchers. Assessments based on CARE guidelines and data analysis were conducted by using Excel 2003 and RevMan 5.0. Results： A total of 61 case reports published in 19 journals were identified, which involved 16 major types of diseases. Fifteen （24.6%） case reports declared no conflict of interests, and 5 （8.2%） reported funding sources. None of these case reports met all items of CARE guidelines, and only 6 subordinate items were fully reported among 50% of the case reports. Subgroup analysis indicated that case reports published in English or those that did not have competing interests had higher reporting quality. Conclusions： The reporting quality of case reports of acupuncture therapy is rather low. The reason might be a lack of awareness among authors and the poor dissemination of information regarding CARE guidelines in China. More evaluation studies are needed to promote and improve adherence to CARE guidelines. Moreover, an extended version of CARE guidelines should be developed for cases reports of special interventions such as acupuncture or adverse events caused by interventions.
