Background: Deep gluteal syndrome is a common cause of posterior hip pain. It results from peripheral nerves, such as the sciatic or superior gluteal nerve, being compressed in the deep gluteal space. Hydrodissection is a novel technique for the treatment of nerve pain due to entrapment. The use of hydrodissection for the treatment of deep gluteal syndrome has not been reported. Methods: A case report involved a 42-year-old female presenting with deep gluteal syndrome. Case report: We report, with patient consent, an ultrasound-guided superior gluteal nerve hydrodissection method used for treating the deep gluteal syndrome. A previously healthy 42-year-old female patient sought medical attention due to persistent left gluteal pain. Trials of joint injections, physiotherapy, and epidural blocks were unsuccessful. Hydrodissection under ultrasound-guidance allowed separation of the fascial plane in areas with significant neural innervation. We targeted the superior gluteal nerve with hydrodissection offering the patient immediate and persistent relief from her symptoms. Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided hydrodissection of the superior gluteal nerve offers an effective and novel diagnostic and treatment option for deep gluteal syndrome.

Effectively strengthening the surface sulfidation is essential for recovering hemimorphite by froth *** this work,inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer(ICP-OES)measurements,Visual MINTEQ calculation,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis,time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(ToF-SIMS)analysis,and micro-flotation experiments were explored to systematically investigate the effect of ammonium sulfate((NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4))on the formation of zinc sulfide species on hemimorphite surface and its role in sulfidation *** results showed that(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)exhibited a positive influence on hemimorphite sulfidation *** was ascribed to the number of zinc components in the form of Zn^(2+)and[Zn(NH_(3))_(i)]^(2+)(i=1–4)increased in the flotation system after hemimorphite treatment with(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4),which was beneficial to its interaction with sulfur species in solution,resulting in a dense and stable zinc sulfide layer generated on the hemimorphite surface.[Zn(NH_(3))_(i)]^(2+)participated in the sulfidation reaction of hemimorphite as a transition *** addition the sulfidation reaction of hemimorphite was accelerated by(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4).Thus,(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)presents a vital role in promoting the sulfidation of hemimorphite.

To produce paraffin from hydrogenation/deoxygenation of palmitic acid,model compound of bio-oil obtained by hydrothermal liquefaction(HTL)of microalgae has been an attractive focus in recent *** order to avoid energy-intensive separation process of water and bio-oil,it is of importance that deoxygenation upgrading of fatty acids under hydrothermal conditions similar to HTL ***,it is the first time to explore the application of activated carbon(AC)-supported non-noble-metal catalysts,such as Ni,Co,and Mo,and so on,in the hydrothermal hydrogenation/deoxygenation of long-chain fatty acids,and the obtained Ni/AC-H(the Ni/AC was further H_(2)pre-reduced)is one of the best *** addition,it is found that the catalytic activity can be further improved by H_(2)pre-reduction of *** results that are more low valences of nickel and oxygen vacancy can be obtained after H_(2)pre-reduction,thus significant promoting the deoxygenation especially the decarbonylation pathway of fatty *** total alkanes yield can reaches 95.9%at optimal conditions(280℃,360 min).This work confirmed that the low-priced AC-supported non-noble-metal catalysts have great potential compared with the noble-metal catalyst,in hydrothermal upgrading of bio-oil.

Atomic force microscopy(AFM)is one of the effective methods for imaging the morphological and physical properties of living cells in a near-physiological ***,several problems caused by the adhesion of living cells and extension of the cell membranes seriously affect the image quality during living cell imaging,hindering the study of living *** this work,jumping mode AFM imaging was used to image living cells at varied probe lifting heights to meet image quality requirements,and image quality related to the probe lifting height is discussed in *** jumping mode was divided into three parts based on the varying heights of the lifted probe,namely near-contact mode,half-jumping mode,and full-jumping mode,and the causes of their imaging drawbacks were *** an appropriate lifting height,the probe can be completely free from the influence of cell adhesion and self-excited oscillation,thus avoiding the occurrence of“trail”phenomena and invalid points in the imaging of living cells and improving the image ***,this work provides a new approach to calculating the lateral force through the adhesion of trace and retrace scanning at a low height,which is important for studying the extension characteristics of the cell membrane.

This study was designed to find the susceptibility of Nitrofurantoin and Fosfomycin among urinary isolates of *** hundred(400)urine samples were collected for susceptibility of nitrofurantoin and fosfomycin among urinary isolates of *** indoor and outdoor patients'urinary samples yielded growth of ***-stream urine specimens were inoculated on blood agar and CLED agar and incubated at 35±2°*** was observed,and Escherichia coli was identified by Gram staining,Catalase,Motility test and API 20E(bio murex)as per standard *** susceptibility testing of isolates for nitrofurantoin and fosfomycin was carried out by the modified Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method according to CLSI guidelines ATCC *** was used as a quality control strain.A total of 400 samples were tested susceptibility of nitrofurantoin and fosfomycin among urinary isolates of *** during this period.A total of 400 samples yielded the growth of ***,out of which 178(44.5%)were male and 222(55.5%)were female *** males,18(10%)were tolerant to nitrofurantoin,and 2(1.1%)were tolerant to *** females,9(4.09%)were susceptible to nitrofurantoin while 6(2.72%)were susceptible to *** age groups below 45 years old,6(4.76%)were tolerant to nitrofurantoin,and 2(1.58%)were sensitive to *** 46-66 years old,4(2.81%)were sensitive to nitrofurantoin,and 3(2.11%)were sensitive to *** 67-90 years old,17(12.87%)were sensitive to nitrofurantoin,and 4(3.03%)were tolerant to *** and nitrofurantoin showed good susceptibility in urinary isolates of *** and can be used empirically in our setup.

The intrinsic hypoxic tumor microenvironment and limited accumulation of photosensitizers(PSs) result in unsatisfied efficiency of photodynamic therapy(PDT).To enhance the PDT efficiency against solid tumors,a functional oxygen self-supplying and PS-delivering nanosystem is fabricated via the combination of catalase(CAT),chlorin e6(Ce6) and metal-phenolic network(MPN) *** is demonstrated that the CAT encapsulated in the capsules(named CCM capsules) could catalyze the degradation of hydrogen peroxide(H;O;) to produce molecular oxygen(O;),which could be converted into cytotoxicity reactive oxygen species(ROS) by surface-loaded Ce6 under 660 nm laser irradiation,leading to synergistic anticancer effects in vitro and in ***,the application of CCM capsule could be a promising strategy to improve PDT effectiveness.
