This article aims to analyze the distinction between the concepts of economic growth,economic development,sustainable development and environmental justice;the inter-action between Environmental Law and economics in the paradigm of environmental justice,and what is the purpose of such interaction;and environmental justice as a possible solution to the installed state of environmental *** this end,the concepts of economic growth,economic development,sustainable development and environmental justice are investigated;Complexity Theory and its transdisciplinary approach;and environmental justice as a new order capable of reversing a state of installed environmental *** obtain the results desired by the research,the method of approach to be followed will be the empirical-dialectical,using bibliographic research,having as a reference system of the Law and economics of Richard *** conclusion,it is pointed out that there is a need for a new development model,which,based on transdisciplinarity,should seek solutions in favor of socioeconomic-environmental balance for present and future generations,as a way of overcoming the state of environmental imbalance installed,as well as all the economic,political,cultural,social and environmental impacts caused by it.

The Chinese economy has achieved remarkable development over the past 40 years of reform and ***,with the narrowing of potential for efficiency improvement from resources reallocation and changes in population age structure,the Chinese economy has moved from high-speed growth to high-quality *** this setting,understanding factor endowment and comparative advantages of the economy from a perspective of human capital structure so as to enhance industrial structure adaptability by riding the trend is of significance for cultivating new driving force for economic *** paper,following a theoretical paradigm of new structural economics,demonstrates how human capital structure matches industrial structure and the presence of optimal human capital structure using mathematical *** this basis,national level panel data and instrumental variables are adopted for generalized method of moments,the results of which shows that there are varied impacts on economic growth in light of different human capital structure *** proportions of high-level human capital and medium-level human capital boost economic development,while that of low-level human capital has an inhibitory effect on economic *** policy implication of this study is that large economies should diversify efforts as per different human capital structure characteristics in terms of development need of tapping growth impetus from human capital structure *** is of equal importance to raise the proportion of high and medium human capital in order to stimulate economic growth and to cut the proportion of low human capital that hinders economic development.

Cost Effective Adsorption of Aluminium and Iron from Synthetic and Real Wastewater by Rice Hull Activated Carbon (RHAC)

The adsorption of aluminium(III) and iron(III) ions from their single and binary systems, by RHAC was investigated in a batch system. The activated carbon prepared from rice hulls was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transformation infrared techniques. Batch adsorption experiments were performed under different operating conditions including pH (2 - 5), adsorbent dosage (0.5 - 2.0 g/l), initial ion concentration (5 - 100 mg/l), and contact time (30 - 240 min). The equilibrium time for maximum ions removal was found to be 180 min in single and binary ions systems. The kinetics of adsorption was evaluated using the pseudo-first order, pseudo-second order and Elovich kinetic models. The Langmuir, Freundlich and Temkin equilibrium models were applied to the adsorption experimental data. Real wastewater samples were collected from different locations to investigate the efficiency of rice hull activated carbon in treating real samples. The real wastewater samples were treated with the activated carbon prepared from rice hulls and a commercial activated carbon. The results showed that the activated carbon prepared in the present work was more efficient in the removal of aluminium and iron from real wastewater as compared to the commercial activated carbon which is more advantageous considering both economics and environmental parameters.

The study determined the nutritional challenges of persons with disability in special needs centers in mainland,Lagos *** research questions guided the *** research design was *** population of the study was *** sampling was done since the population was a manageable *** questionnaire was used for data *** collected were analyzed using mean and standard *** showed that the types of disabilities among children in special need centers in Lagos State included among others:physical disability,learning disability,cerebral palsy,Down syndrome,attention deficit disorder/attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD),autism and speech and language *** also revealed that the nutritional needs of children with disability included feeding on different foods,drinking water regularly,taking fruits daily,and ensuring that their nutrient requirements are met *** indicated that the nutritional challenges of children with disability included among others:excessive salivation,frequent constipation,inability to feed oneself,depending on care givers for feeding,food dropping from the mouth while being fed and difficulty in chewing and swallowing *** was *** recommendations made was that children with disabilities should be provided with variety of foods daily to meet their nutritional needs and parents/caregivers should devote more feeding time to the disabled child.

GIS-based assessment of land-agroforestry potentiality of Jharkhand State, India

Scaling-up agroforestry area in various forms is a scientific path towards achieving various sustainable development goals(SDGs),especially improving livelihood,reducing poverty,conserving environment and biodiversity,and transforming climate *** this study,the effort was made to investigate the land potentiality for agroforestry at the district level in Jharkhand State,India by applying geographic information system(GIS)modeling technology using climate(temperature and precipitation),topography(slope and elevation),ecology(percent tree cover and normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)),and social economics(poverty rate and tribal dominance)*** results revealed that six districts of Jharkhand State had agroforestry potential greater than 60.00%.The highest agroforestry suitability was found in Simdega District(78.20%),followed by Pakur(76.25%),West Singhbhum(72.70%),Dumka(68.84%),Sahibganj(64.63%),and Godda(63.43%)***,we identified 513 out of 32,620 villages of Jharkhand State potentially suitable(agroforestry suitability≥80.00%)for agroforestry with the objective of life improvement among marginalized *** the outside forest area,8.58%of the total geographical land of Jharkhand State was wasteland,much of which was found suitable for agroforestry *** agroforestry setups in those wastelands can absorb 637 t carbon annually in long run and can provide direct economic benefits to the locals besides additional income for carbon emission *** study concluded that Jharkhand State has plenty of high potential land for agroforestry,and adoption of agroforestry at the village level must be given high *** study could guide the nodal authorities to prepare appropriate strategies for scaling the tree cover in agroforestry systems in village-level landscape planning which needs policy attention and investment for achieving 9 out of the 17 SDGs.
