Multi-scenario Simulation and Spatial-temporal Analysis of LUCC in China's Coastal Zone Based on Coupled SD-FLUS Model

Increased human activities in China's coastal zone have resulted in the depletion of ecological land ***,conducting current and future multi-scenario simulation research on land use and land cover change(LUCC)is crucial for guiding the healthy and sustainable development of coastal *** dynamic(SD)-future land use simulation(FLUS)model,a coupled simulation model,was developed to analyze land use dynamics in China's coastal *** model encompasses five scenarios,namely,SSP1-RCP2.6(A),SSP2-RCP4.5(B),SSP3-RCP4.5(C),SSP4-RCP4.5(D),and SSP5-RCP8.5(E).The SD model simulates land use demand on an annual basis up to the year ***,the FLUS model determines the spatial distribution of land use for the near term(2035),medium term(2050),and long term(2100).Results reveal a slowing trend in land use changes in China's coastal zone from 2000–*** these changes,the expansion rate of construction land was the highest and exhibited an annual *** 2100,land use predictions exhibit high accuracy,and notable differences are observed in trends across *** summary,the expansion of production,living,and ecological spaces toward the sea remains *** A emphasizes reduced land resource dependence,benefiting ecological land *** B witnesses an intensified expansion of artificial *** C sees substantial land needs for living and production,while Scenario D shows coastal forest and grassland ***,in Scenario E,the conflict between humans and land *** study presents pertinent recommendations for the future development,utilization,and management of coastal areas in *** research contributes valuable scientific support for informed,long-term strategic decision making within coastal regions.

Accurate intelligent reasoning systems are vital for intelligent *** this study,a new intelligent reasoning system was developed for milling processes to accurately predict tool wear and dynamically optimize machining *** developed system consists of a self-learning algorithm with an improved particle swarm optimization(IPSO)learning algorithm,prediction model determined by an improved case-based reasoning(ICBR)method,and optimization model containing an improved adaptive neural fuzzy inference system(IANFIS)and *** results showed that the IPSO algorithm exhibited the best global convergence *** ICBR method was observed to have a better performance in predicting tool wear than standard CBR *** IANFIS model,in combination with IPSO,enabled the optimization of multiple objectives,thus generating optimal milling *** paper offers a practical approach to developing accurate intelligent reasoning systems for sustainable and intelligent manufacturing.

Comparisons of Wave Force Model Effects on the Structural Responses and Fatigue Loads of a Semi-Submersible Floating Wind Turbine

The selection of wave force models will significantly impact the structural responses of floating wind *** this study,comparisons of wave force model effects on the structural responses and fatigue loads of a semi-submersible floating wind turbine(SFWT)were *** were performed by employing the Morison equation(ME)with linear or second-order wave kinematics and potential flow theory(PFT)with first-or second-order wave forces.A comparison of regular waves,irregular waves,and coupled wind/waves analyses with the experimental data showed that many of the simulation results and experimental data are relatively ***,notable discrepancies are found in the response amplitude operators for platform heave,tower base bending moment,and tension in mooring *** models give more satisfactory results of heave but more significant discrepan-cies in tower base bending moment than the ME *** irregular wave analyses,low-frequency resonances were captured by PFT models with second-order difference-frequency terms,and high-frequency resonances were captured by the ME models or PFT models with second-order sum-frequency *** force models capture the response frequencies but do not reasonably predict the response *** coupled wind/waves analyses showed more satisfactory results than the wave-only ***,an important detail to note is that this satisfactory result is based on the overprediction of wind-induced responses.

The Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6) double perovskite is one of the most promising lead-free perovskites due to its exceptional stability and straightforward ***,it faces challenges related to inefficient *** and high pressure are employed to tailor the optical properties of Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6).Herein,Sb^(3+)doped Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6)(Sb^(3+):Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6)) was synthesized and it exhibits blue emission with a photoluminescence quantum yield of up to 37.3%.Further,by employing pressure tuning,a blue stable emission under a very wide range from 2.7 GPa to 9.8 GPa is realized in Sb^(3+):Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6).Subsequently,the emission intensity of Sb^(3+):Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6) experiences a significant increase(3.3 times)at 19.0 *** is revealed that the pressure-induced distinct emissions can be attributed to the carrier self-trapping and detrapping between Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6) and Sb^(3+).Notably,the lattice compression in the cubic phase inevitably modifies the band gap of Sb^(3+):Cs_(2)NaInCl_(6).Our findings provide valuable insights into effects of the high pressure in further boosting unique emission characteristics but also offer promising opportunities for development of doped double perovskites with enhanced optical functionalities.

The occurrence characteristics of shale oil are of great significance to the movability of shale *** this study,the occurrence characteristics of oil in the shale matrix at Funing Formation shale in Subei Basin were quantitatively evaluated by organic geochemistry and microscopic pore structure characterization *** Multiple Isothermal Stages Pyrolysis(MIS)experiment results show that the content of total oil,adsorbed oil,and free oil in the shales are 3.15-11.25 mg/g,1.41-4.95 mg/g,and 1.74-6.51 mg/g,*** which the silicon-rich shale has the best *** relative content of free oil shows an increasing trend in pores with pore diameters greater than 3 *** the relative content of free oil reaches 100%,the pore size of silicon-rich shale is about 200 nm,while that of calcium-rich shale,clay-rich shale,and siliceous mixed shale is about 10 *** occurrence law of adsorbed oil is opposite to that of free oil,which indicates that shale oil will occur in the pores and fractures in a free state in a more extensive pore size range(>200 nm).This study also enables us to further understand the occurrence characteristics of shale oil under the interaction of occurrence state and occurrence space.

Gut microbial interactions based on network construction and bacterial pairwise cultivation

Association networks are widely applied for the prediction of bacterial interactions in studies of human gut ***,the experimental validation of the predicted interactions is challenging due to the complexity of gut microbiomes and the limited number of cultivated *** this study,we addressed this challenge by integrating in vitro time series network(TSN)associations and cocultivation of TSN taxon *** samples were collected and used for cultivation and enrichment of gut microbiome on YCFA agar plates for 13 *** cells were harvested for DNA extraction and metagenomic sequencing.A total of 198 metagenome-assembled genomes(MAGs)were *** dynamics of bacteria growing on the YCFA agar were used to infer microbial association *** experimentally validate the interactions of taxon pairs in networks,we selected 24 and 19 bacterial strains from this study and from the previously established human gut microbial biobank,respectively,for pairwise *** co-culture experiments revealed that most of the interactions between taxa in networks were identified as neutralism(51.67%),followed by commensalism(21.67%),amensalism(18.33%),competition(5%)and exploitation(3.33%).Genome-centric analysis further revealed that the commensal gut bacteria(helpers and beneficiaries)might interact with each other via the exchanges of amino acids with high biosynthetic costs,short-chain fatty acids,and/or *** also validated 12 beneficiaries by adding 16 additives into the basic YCFA medium and found that the growth of 66.7%of these strains was significantly *** approach provides new insights into the gut microbiome complexity and microbial interactions in association *** work highlights that the positive relationships in gut microbial communities tend to be overestimated,and that amino acids,short-chain fatty acids,and vitamins are contributed to the positive relationships.

To the best of our knowledge,this is the first time that a mid-infrared Er^(3+):CaF_(2)-SrF_(2) laser has achieved continuous-wave mode-locked operation by a semiconductor saturable absorber *** laser emits a maximum output power of 93 mW at 2.73μm with a repetition rate of approximately 69 MHz and demonstrates a high signal-to-noise ratio of around 71 *** addition,a MgF_(2) birefringent plate was utilized to enable wavelength tuning of the Er^(3+):CaF_(2)-SrF_(2) laser,resulting in operation at approximately 2.73μm,2.75μm,2.79μm,and 2.81μ*** results demonstrate that Er^(3+):CaF_(2)-SrF_(2) is a promising alternative for the generation of efficient diode-pumped mode-locked lasers around 2.8μm.

Integrated biomarker response to assess toxic impacts of iron and manganese on deep-sea mussel Gigantidas platifrons under a deep-sea mining activity scenario

Deep-sea mining activities can potentially release metals,which pose a toxicological threat to deep-sea ***,due to the remoteness and inaccessibility of the deep-sea biosphere,there is insufficient knowledge about the impact of metal exposure on its *** this study,deep-sea mussel Gigantidas platifrons,a commonly used deep-sea toxicology model organism,was exposed to manganese(100,1000μg/L)or iron(500,5000μg/L)for 7 d,*** and iron were chosen for their high levels of occurrence within deep-sea *** accumulation and a battery of biochemical biomarkers related to antioxidative stress in superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malondialdehyde(MDA);immune function in alkaline phosphatase(AKP),acid phosphatase(ACP);and energy metabolism in pyruvate kinase(PK)and hexokinase(HK)were assessed in mussel *** showed that deep-sea mussel *** exhibited a high capacity to accumulate Mn/*** addition,most tested biochemical parameters were altered by metal exposure,demonstrating that metals could induce oxidative stress,suppress the immune system,and affect energy metabolism of deep-sea *** integrated biomarker response(IBR)approach indicated that the exposure to Mn/Fe had a negative impact on deep-sea mussels,and Mn demonstrated a more harmful impact on deep-sea mussels than ***,SOD and CAT biomarkers had the greatest impact on IBR values in Mn treatments,while ACP and HK were most influential for the low-and high-dose Fe groups,*** study represents the first application of the IBR approach to evaluate the toxicity of metals on deep-sea fauna and serves as a crucial framework for risk assessment of deep-sea mining-associated metal exposure.

The Chinese tree shrew(Tupaia belangeri chinensis),a member of the mammalian order Scandentia,exhibits considerable similarities with primates,including humans,in aspects of its nervous,immune,and metabolic *** similarities have established the tree shrew as a promising experimental model for biomedical research on cancer,infectious diseases,metabolic disorders,and mental health ***,we used metatranscriptomic sequencing to analyze plasma,as well as oral and anal swab samples,from 105 healthy asymptomatic tree shrews to identify the presence of potential zoonotic *** total,eight mammalian viruses with complete genomes were identified,belonging to six viral families,including Flaviviridae,Hepeviridae,Parvovirinae,Picornaviridae,Sedoreoviridae,and ***,the presence of rotavirus was recorded in tree shrews for the first *** viruses-hepacivirus 1,parvovirus,and picornavirus-exhibited low genetic similarity(94%)to known viral *** analyses also revealed that the rotavirus and mammalian orthoreovirus identified in this study may be novel *** findings provide insights into the diverse viral spectrum present in captive Chinese tree shrews,highlighting the necessity for further research into their potential for crossspecies transmission.
