Reference Dependent Preference and Labor Supply:Evidence from China

This paper investigates the daily labor supply decisions of Hangzhou cabdrivers. We find that Hangzhou *** elasticity is significantly positive, their working decisions are largely affected by shift time, and crude proxy variables for income;hours targets can hardly explain their working behavior. Nevertheless, Hangzhou cabdrivers are still affected by reference dependent preference. Using new empirical strategies, we show that cabdrivers are more likely to continue working when wage rates are unexpectedly low and more likely to quit when wage rates are unexpectedly high.

In the era of big data, data application based on data governance has become an inevitable trend in the construction of smart campus in higher education. In this paper, a set of data governance system framework covering the whole life cycle of data suitable for higher education is proposed, and based on this, the ideas and methods of data governance are applied to the construction of data management system for the basic development status of faculties by combining the practice of data governance of Donghua *** forms a closed-loop management of data in all aspects, such as collection, information feedback, and statistical analysis of the basic development status data of the college. While optimizing the management business of higher education, the system provides a scientific and reliable basis for precise decision-making and strategic development of higher education.

Science and innovation diplomacy is at a crossroad-facing the need for enhanced cooperation to tackle global challenges and in a more complex geopolitical *** on“learning-by-doing”and“learningby-experimenting”as well as focusing on future development needs and opportunities,the science and innovation diplomacy practices of“Nordic+”countries,i.e.,Denmark,finland,Sweden and the Netherlands,in China are presented in the *** common strategic insights can be summarized as:1)a new policy narrative on“co-opetition”,2)a balanced approach and a long-term and future-oriented perspective on“coopetition”and 3)more agile,targeted and impact-oriented instruments and partnerships for“co-opetition”.Concrete suggestions for the future development include:1)a deepened understanding of how science and innovation are inter-connected with strategic and economic interests of countries and continents,2)publicly funded schemes and instruments for engaging Nordic multinationals and deepening science-industry-policy collaborative efforts,3)systematic methods through combining evidence-based and future-oriented analyses and 4)skill-and capacity development for identifying,preventing and mitigating multifaceted risks in *** such contexts,the implementation of EU’s mission-driven innovation and the twin-transition,*** sustainability transition and digital transition,can open up new opportunities for the future cooperation.

In this study,two integrated game models are developed to explore the possible economic and environmental consequences of Emission control areas(ECA)***,the analytical solutions compared with a benchmark case are *** find that vessel speed and SO_(2)emissions will decrease under the ECA ***,shipping company’s level of competition has no effect on the equivalent *** equivalent freight volume to be reduced or increased is determined by the additional operational cost per voyage due to ECA *** study and sensitivity analysis reveal that the vessel speed and SO_(2)emission reduction are very sensitive to the inventory costs of intransit ***,if low-sulphur marine gas oil is used throughout the voyage,the SO_(2)emission reduction may be greater than 80%,with a low impact on the shipping company’s ***,considering the environmental effects,much stricter limits can be set in the future.

Antibody-mediated rejection(ABMR)is a major cause of dysfunction and loss of transplanted *** current treatments for ABMR involve nonspecific inhibition and clearance of T/B cells or plasma ***,the prognosis of patients following current treatment is poor.T follicular helper cells(Tfh)play an important role in allograft-specific antibodies secreting plasma cell(PC)*** cells are therefore considered to be important therapeutic targets for the treatment of antibody hypersecretion disorders,such as transplant rejection and autoimmune ***(Tac),the primary immunosuppressant,prevents rejection by reducing T cell ***,its administration should be closely monitored to avoid serious side *** this study,we investigated whether Tac delivery to helper T(CD4^(+))cells using functionalized mesoporous nanoparticles can block Tfh cell differentiation after alloantigen *** showed that Tac delivery ameliorated humoral rejection injury in rodent kidney graft by suppressing Tfh cell development,PC,and donor-specific antibody(DSA)generation without causing severe side effects compared with delivery through the drug administration *** study provides a promising therapeutic strategy for preventing humoral rejection in solid organ *** specific and controllable drug delivery avoids multiple disorder risks and side effects observed in currently used clinical approaches.

Occupant behavior largely influence the energy use within *** the multi-occupant office,occupant behavior is affected by individual preference as well as the interaction among occupants,and yet no suitable model is available to precisely reflect the behavior *** paper proposed and introduced a method for innovative multi-occupant air-conditioning(AC)usage behavior modelling in a multi-occupant office,which used intuitionistic fuzzy preference relationship to describe individual behavior intention and a hierarchical structure to reflect the social relationship among multiple occupants through subjective evaluation *** group decision-making process combined the individual behavior intention and the weights of occupants using the analytic hierarchy ***,the AC usage behavior of a multi-occupant office was simulated by integrating the multi-occupant model into designer’s simulation toolkit(DeST)building performance simulation *** results of conducted analysis of a single office with multi-occupant showed that the proposed multi-occupant modelling method could quantitatively characterize the group relationships and AC usage behavior *** absolute errors for the total AC operation time and frequency of the start-up periods of AC between the simulation and measurement results were only 2.7%and 2.0%,***,the proposed multi-occupant modelling method could realize a relatively accurate simulation of the multi-occupant behavior.
