Separation of acetylene(C2H2) from carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) by adsorbents is very challenging owing to their high similarity on molecular shape and dimension. Exploring inexpensive and easily available porous materials is of importance to facilitate the practical implementation of the challenging but energy-efficient separation. Herein, we utilize an easily available porous material[Zn3(HCOO)6] for the selective separation of C2H2 ovCO_(2)CO_(2). Because of the pore confinement in[Zn3(HCOO)6](pore size of 0.47 nm) and accessible oxygen sites for preferential binding of C2H2, this material exhibits high low-pressure uptake for C2H2(63 cm3/cm3 at 10 kPa and 298 K) and highCO_(2)H2/CO_(2) selectivity(7.4 under ambient conditions) that is comparable to those of out-performing porous materials. The efficient separation of[Zn3(HCOO)6] CO_(2) C2H2/CO_(2) mixture has also been confirmed by the breakthrough experiments.

α-Pinene is an important monoterpene,which is widely used as a flavoring agent and in fragrances,pharmaceuticals and *** an evolved strain Escherichia coli YZFP,which had higher tolerance to pinene and titer,has been successfully used to produce high levels of pinene,the pinene titer is much lower than that of hemiterpene(isoprene)and sesquiterpenes(farnesene)to ***,the overall cellular physiological and metabolic changes caused by higher tolerance to pinene and overproduction of pinene remains *** reveal the mechanism of Escherichia coli YZFP with the higher tolerance to pinene and titer,a comparative genomics and transcriptional level analyses combining with CRISPR activation(CRISPRa)and interference(CRISPRi)were carried *** results show that the tolerance to pinene and the overproduction of pinene in *** may be associated with:1)the mutations of the DXP pathway genes,the rpoA and some membrane protein genes,and their upregulations of transcription levels;and 2)the mutations of some genes and their downregulation of transcriptional *** comparative omics analyses provided some genetic modification strategies to further improve pinene *** of the mutated cbpA,tabA,pitA,rpoA,sufBCDS,mutS,ispH,oppF,dusB,dnaK,dxs,dxr and flgFGH genes further improved pinene *** study also demonstrated that combining comparative omics analysis with CRISPRa and CRISPRi is an efficient technology to quickly find a new metabolic engineering strategy.

A sensitive and simple micellar electrokinetic chromatography （MEKC） method was developed for the determination of antiepileptic drug, carbamazepine （CBZ）, using sweeping on-line concentration method with photodiode array detection. Under the optimal conditions, the calibration curve was linear over a range of 0.5-40μg·mL^-1 for CBZ with a correlation coefficient of 0.998. The detection limit （S/N = 3：1） of CBZ was 0.10 μg·mL^-1. The sweeping-MEKC method has been successfully applied to the analysis of CBZ in human serum.

The Sc-doped La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 polycrystallines were prepared by thermal decomposition of complexes of metal ions with ethylenediamine-tetraacetic acid (EDTA). The dependence of structural, magnetic and transport properties on Sc doping was investigated. Moderate Sc doping level results in a sharp drop in Curie temperature, an increase in resistance and enhancement of magnetoresistance effect. At temperatures above TMI, R(T) can be described as R(T) = R0exp(T0/T)1/4, which indicates that conduction takes place by hopping between the localized states. The experimental data reveal that the change in magnetoresistance property is related to the structure.

Effects of organic acids on the leaching process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ore

To examine the activation of organic acids on the leaching process of ion-adsorption type rare earth ore（IRE-ore）, the leaching behavior of rare earth（RE） and zeta potential of IRE-ore were investigated in the absence and presence of carboxylic acids. The results show that all the tested organic acids（acetic acid,malonic acid, citric acid, tartaric acid, succinic acid, and malic acid） can promote RE extraction. At relatively high concentrations of organic acids, the activation efficiency of organic acids on RE extraction is generally consistent with their complexation ability; whereas at their low concentrations, the change of zeta potential on the IRE-ore surface with organic acid concentration and p H has a close association with RE extraction, which indicates that organic acids can impact the surface electrical property of IREore via their adsorption/desorption, and thereby increase/decrease the affinity of RE ions to *** the influence of organic acids on the IRE-ore surface electrical property also plays an important role in RE extraction in addition to their complexation with RE ions.

The hydrothermal synthesis and crystal structures of four coordination polymers, namely, 2D [Zn(μ3-ta)(pytaH)]n (1), 2D [Zn(μ3-pyta)Cl]n (2), 1D [Cd(μ-pyta)2(H2O)]n (3), and 3D [Cd(μ3-pyta)(μ-Cl)]n (4) (pyta = (4-pyridylthio)acetate, ta = thioglycolate), are reported. They are based on (4-pyridylthio)acetate and its derived ligand. The ta2ligand present in 1 was generated from an in situ C(sp2)-S bond cleavage of the pyta ligand. In these compounds, versatile intermolecular interactions, such as close S…S interactions and strong (O―H…O/N/S) or weak (C―H…O/S, C―H…Cl) hydrogen bonding interactions, play an important role in the formation of three-dimensional supramolecular networks in the solid state.

Effects of Annealing Treatments on Luminescence and Scintillation Properties of Ce:Lu_3Al_5O_(12) Crystal Grown by Czochralski Method

Lu3Al5O12 single crystals grown in pure N2 atmosphere by Czochralski method were annealed in oxidizing atmosphere （air）and reducing atmosphere （H2 ＋ N2）, respectively. Effects of annealing treatments on luminescence and scintillation properties of the crystals were investigated. The crystal annealed in air showed the highest luminescence intensity under blue light or vacuum ultraviolet excitation in comparison with that annealed in reducing flux or the as-grown crystal. Under X-ray excitation, crystal annealed in reducing atmosphere had the lowest light yield, and crystal annealed in air had the fastest decay time under ^137Cs 662 keV γ-ray excitation. Different annealing treatments resulted in different luminescence and scintillation properties, which might related with oxygen vacancies or defect existing in the crystals.

Atomically precise gold and/or silver nanoclusters play a key role in crystallography and coordination *** with gold nanoclusters,silver nanoclusters become unstable and difficult to crystallize due to the high reactivity ofmetal ***,we report a silver nanocluster Ag_(213)(Adm-S)_(44)Cl_(33)(Ag_(213))coprotected by bulky thiolates and *** low surface thiolate coverage(about 45%)endows Ag_(213)with high catalytic *** on activated carbon,Ag_(213)nanoclusters exhibit excellent electrocatalytic oxygen reduction performance with Eonset and E_(1/2)values of 0.89 and 0.72 V,respectively,close to the values of commercial Pt/C *** is the first report on the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction of nanoclusters with more than 100 silver ***_(213)with the diameter of 2.75 nm comprises a core–shell structure Ag_(7)@Ag_(32)@Ag_(77)@Ag_(97).The strong plasmonic absorption band at 454 nm reveals the metallic nature of Ag_(213).Interestingly,halide is of *** facilitates the formation of Ag_(213)and Ag_(56)(Adm-S)_(33)Cl_(16)(Ag_(56)^(Cl))while bromide can promote the formation of Ag_(56)(Adm-S)_(33)Br_(16)(Ag_(56)Br).This work provides an example for the study of largesized metal nanoclusters and nanocluster-based electrocatalysts.

The most recent research progress in the fields of the crystal structure and magnetochemistry for rare earth-transition metal cyano-bridged complexes is reviewed in detail. The emphasis is put on the introduction to the research achievements of our group in this field, including all the types of complexes with different crystal structures in these systems such as dinuclear, trinuclear, one-dimensional chain and hydrogen-bonded network ion-pairs. At the same time a few examples of rare earth-transition metal molecular-based magnets have been found to exhibit excellent magneto-chemical properties, such as the long-range magnetic ordering, the higher critical temperature Tc and the stronger coercive force. These results will be expected to promote the research development in this field.
