Toxoplasma gondii(*** or Tg),is an obligatory intracellular parasite with humans as its intermediate *** recent years,significant correlations between *** infection and schizophrenia have been reported,including the possible mediating ***,mechanisms and hypotheses focus on central neurotransmitters,immunity,neuroinflammation,and epigenetics;however,the exact underlying mechanisms remain *** this article,we review the studies related to *** infection and schizophrenia,particularly the latest research *** on dopamine(DA)and other neurotransmitters,the blood-brain barrier,inflammatory factors,disease heterogeneity,and other confounders is also *** addition,we also summarized the results of some new epidemiological investigations.

Understanding the process of chemical reactions has always been a relentless pursuit for *** development of femtosecond pump-probe techniques since the 1980s has revolutionized the field of chemical dynamics,enabling the capture of timeresolved snapshots of reactions on the femtosecond *** from the 2010s,breakthroughs in femtosecond electron and X-ray sources has enabled ultrafast electron and X-ray diffraction techniques,which is able to directly reveal the temporal evolution of atomic geometries of molecules,allowing for the creation of molecular ***-phase molecular movies reveal intrinsic intramolecular processes,while liquid-phase molecular movies provide insights for complicated solvent-solute *** minireview focuses on the advances in studying gasphase and liquid-phase molecular dynamics(MD)using ultrafast electron and X-ray diffraction techniques on femtosecond and picosecond *** fast-developing experimental capability of the direct observation of molecular structural evolution during chemical reactions,on its natural femtosecond timescale and subangstrom length scale,offers tremendous potential for the field of chemical kinetics and MD.

Kinesin-1 motor protein is a homodimer containing two identical motor domains connected by a common long coiledcoil stalk via two flexible neck linkers. The motor can step on a microtubule with a velocity of about 1 μm·s-1and an attachment duration of about 1 s under physiological conditions. The available experimental data indicate a tradeoff between velocity and attachment duration under various experimental conditions, such as variation of the solution temperature,variation of the strain between the two motor domains, and so on. However, the underlying mechanism of the tradeoff is unknown. Here, the mechanism is explained by a theoretical study of the dynamics of the motor under various experimental conditions, reproducing quantitatively the available experimental data and providing additional predictions. How the various experimental conditions lead to different decreasing rates of attachment duration versus velocity is also explained.

Selective reduction of readily available N-heteroarenes is important in both organic synthesis and chemical ***,we describe ligand-controlled regiodivergent hydroboration of quinolines using well-defined amido-manganese catalysts,with an emphasis on the rarely reported 1,*** studies showed that 1,2-hydroboration of quinoline was kinetically favorable and reversible,whereas 1,4-hydroboration was under thermodynamic *** a 1-methyimidazolebased pincer amido-manganese complex as the catalyst,cooperative C-H…N andπ…πnoncovalent interactions between the 1-methyimidazole moiety and quinoline substrates enabled kinetic accessibility of 1,4-hydroboration,giving thermodynamically favored 1,4-hydroborated quinolines as the major *** this basis,Mn-catalyzed 1,4-hydroboration of a series of substituted quinolines proceeded smoothly in high yields.A high turnover number of 2500 was achieved in this reaction with satisfying *** transformation could be further applied to the C3-selective functionalization of quinolines,highlighting the synthetic utility of this *** contrast,using a pyridine-based pincer amido-manganese complex as the catalyst,which lacked the C-H…N interaction,the free-energy barrier for 1,4-hydroboration significantly increased through a N-B…N interaction between the“HMn-NB”species and quinoline,resulting in the kinetically favored 1,2-hydroboration product with excellent regioselectivity.

Abscisic acid(ABA),hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)) and ascorbate(AsA)–glutathione(GSH)cycle are widely known for their participation in various ***,the relationship between ABA and H_(2)O_(2) levels and the AsA–GSH cycle under drought stress in wheat has not been *** this study,a hydroponic experiment was conducted in wheat seedlings subjected to 15%polyethylene glycol(PEG)6000–induced *** stress caused the rapid accumulation of endogenous ABA and H_(2)O_(2) and significantly decreased the number of root tips compared with the *** application of ABA significantly increased the number of root tips,whereas the application of H_(2)O_(2) markedly reduced the number of root tips,compared with that under 15%*** addition,drought stress markedly increased the DHA,GSH and GSSG levels,but decreased the AsA levels,AsA/DHA and GSH/GSSG ratios compared with those in the *** activities of the four enzymes in the AsA–GSH cycle were also markedly increased under drought stress,including glutathione reductase(GR),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),monodehydroascorbate reductase(MDHAR)and dehydroascorbate reductase(DHAR),compared with those in the ***,the application of an ABA inhibitor significantly inhibited GR,DHAR and APX activities,whereas the application of an H_(2)O_(2) inhibitor significantly inhibited DHAR and MDHAR ***,the application of ABA inhibitor significantly promoted the increases of H_(2)O_(2) and the application of H_(2)O_(2) inhibitor significantly blocked the increases of ABA,compared with those under 15% *** together,the results indicated that ABA and H_(2)O_(2) probably interact under drought stress in wheat;and both of them can mediate drought stress by modulating the enzymes in AsA–GSH cycle,where ABA acts as the main regulator of GR,DHAR,and APX activities,and H_(2)O_(2) acts as the main regulator of DHAR and MDHAR activities.

The experimental realization of Rydberg dressing technology in ultracold atomic systems provides another superior platform for studying novel states of matter and macroscopic quantum *** this work,based on the mean-field theory,we have investigated the ground-state phases of a two-component Bose–Einstein condensate with Rydberg interaction and confined in a toroidal *** effects of the Rydberg interaction and external potential,especially the Rydberg blockade radius,on the ground-state structure of such a system have been investigated in full parameter *** results show that the Rydberg blockade radius,which can be regarded as another controllable parameter,can be used to obtain a variety of ground-state *** interestingly,it is found that for weak Rydberg interactions,the Rydberg blockade radius breaks the spontaneous rotational symmetry of the system,leading to the formation of a discrete unit cell *** strongly interacting cases,it can be used to realize different orders of discrete rotational symmetry breaking.

Selective molecular recognition in water is routine for bioreceptors,but remains challenging for synthetic *** is principally because noncovalent interactions are usually less efficient in aqueous *** mimicking the cavity feature of bioreceptors,*** Jiang proposed and clarified the concept of“endo-functionalized cavity”.Through situating polar binding sites into a deep hydrophobic cavity,we designed and synthesized several macrocyclic hosts,among which amide naphthotubes are the most *** hosts can selectively recognize various polar molecules including organic micropollutants,drug molecules,and chiral molecules in water by employing the hydrophobic effect and shielded hydrogen *** addition,these biomimetic hosts have been applied in spectroscopic analysis,adsorptive separation and *** this review,we provide an overview of recent advances on amide naphthotubes with special emphasis on the efforts of Jiang's *** are convinced that these biomimetic macrocycles will make further contributions to supramolecular chemistry and beyond.
