The structural characteristics of precipitation in Asian-Pacific's three monsoon regions measured by tropical rainfall measurement mission

The three-dimensional structure of precipitation on a seasonal scale in the Asian-Pacific＇s three monsoon regions is investigated based on the tropical rainfall measurement mission （TRMM） data. The results show that：（1） The maximum seasonal variation of the relative proportional difference of convective precipitation and stratiform rain occurs in the East Asian monsoon region, the second occurs in the Indian monsoon region, and the minimum is in the northwest Pacific monsoon region. In both the northwest Pacific mon soon region and the Indian monsoon region, the convective rain is proportionately larger than stratiform rain in all four seasons. （2） Cloud ice reaches its maximum at around 9 km. Cloud water＇s maximum range is between 3 and 4 km. The large value area of precipitation ice is mainly between 4 and 9 km. The precipi tation water particle is concentrated mostly below 4 km. The largest content is from the ground to 2 km. （3） The most remarkable variance of the content of cloud ice in the Indian monsoon region occurs from spring to winter, and the content of cloud water in the northwest Pacific is always higher than that in the other two regions. （4） The latent heat profile has a similar double-peak structure. The first peak is at 4 km and the second peak is at 2 km. In autumn and winter, the latent heat is higher in the northwest Pacific than in other two regions. In all three regions, the release of the latent heat is higher in summer and autumn than in spring and winter.

An Improved Method for Correction of Air Temperature Measured Using Different Radiation Shields

The variation of air temperature measurement errors using two different radiation shields （DTR502B Vaisala,Finland,and HYTFZ01,Huayun Tongda Satcom,China） was *** were collected in the field at the Daxing weather station in Beijing from June 2011 to May *** air temperature values obtained with these two commonly used radiation shields were lower than the reference records obtained with the new Fiber Reinforced Polymers （FRP） Stevenson *** most cases,the air temperature errors when using the two devices were smaller on overcast and rainy days than on sunny days; and smaller when using the imported rather than the Chinese *** measured errors changed sharply at sunrise and sunset,and reached maxima at *** diurnal variation characteristics were,naturally,related to changes in solar *** relationships between the record errors,global radiation,and wind speed were *** improved correction method was proposed based on the approach described by Nakamura and Mahrt （2005）（NM05）,in which the impact of the solar zenith angle （SZA） on the temperature error is considered and extreme errors due to changes in SZA can be corrected *** errors were reduced significantly after correction by either method for both *** error reduction rate using the improved correction method for the Chinese and imported shields were 3.3％ and 40.4％ higher than those using the NM05 method,respectively.

Long-term variability of the carbon balance in a large irrigated area along the lower Yellow River from 1984 to 2006

The irrigated areas in the northern region of China are important food production areas. Therefore, studies on the variability of the carbon balance in these agro-ecosystems are fundamental for the management of carbon sequestration. This paper simulated the long-term variability of the carbon balance in a typical irrigated area along the lower Yellow River from 1984 to 2006, using a process-based ecosystem model called the Simple Biosphere Model, version 2. The mean annual gross primary production (GPP), mean annual net assimilation rate (NAR), mean annual soil respiration (Rs ), and mean annual net ecosystem exchange (NEE) were 1733, 1642, 1304, and 338g C m-2 a-1 , respectively. A significant increasing trend in the seasonal total NAR during the wheat growing season, and a significant decreasing trend in the seasonal total NAR during the maize growing season were detected. However, no significant trend was found in the annual NAR, R s , and NEE. The average carbon sequestration was 1.93 Tg C a-1 when the grain harvest was not taken into account, and the carbon sequestration amount during the maize season was higher than that during the wheat season. However, the agro-ecosystem was a weak carbon source with a value of 0.23 Tg C a-1 , when the carbon in the grain was assumed emitted into the atmosphere.

Analysis of Characteristics and Meteorological Influencing Factors of Air Pollution in Luojiang district,Deyang City

Based on the monitoring data of ambient air quality and meteorological observation data,the characteristics and meteorological influencing factors of air pollution in Luojiang district of Deyang City from 2018 to 2022 were *** results show that from 2018 to 2022,the main air pollutants affecting the air quality of Luojiang district of Deyang City were PM 2.5 and PM 10,and the primary pollutant on heavy pollution days was basically PM *** 2.5 and PM 10 pollution showed obvious seasonal differences,and PM 2.5 concentration exceeded the limit mainly in spring and winter,among which it was the most serious in early spring,especially in January and February,followed by *** 10 exceeding the standard had a high seasonal correlation with PM 2.5 exceeding the standard,mainly in spring and winter,among which it was the most serious in winter,especially in December,followed by *** 2.5 and PM 10 pollution showed an overall weakening *** 2.5 and PM 10 concentration were closely related to meteorological factors such as temperature,relative humidity,wind speed,precipitation and air pressure,and were mainly affected by rainfall.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the protective effects of Chang'an decoction(肠安方,CAD)on colitis,and investigate the potential mechanisms underlying these effects from the perspectives of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress induced by mitofusin 2(MFN2).METHODS:The composition of CAD was identified by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology.A mice model of dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)induced colitis was established and therapeutic effects of CAD were determined by detecting body weight,disease activity index,colon length and histopathological ***,the expression levels of MFN2,ER stress markers and Nucleotide-binding domain and leucine-rich repeat protein3(NLRP3)relevant proteins were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR),Western blot,immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence ***,knockdown and overexpression cell model were constructed to further investigate the underlying mechanism of MFN2 mediating ER stress and energy metabolism by PCR,Western blot,electron microscopy and reactive oxygen species(ROS)***,inflammatory indicator and tight junction proteins were measured by PCR and immunofluorescence staining to evaluate the protective effects of ***:Results showed that the indispensable regulatory role of MFN2 in mediating ER stress and mitochondrial damage was involved in the protective effects of CAD on colitis in mice fed with *** pharmacology analysis also revealed CAD may play a protective effect on colitis by affecting mitochondrial *** addition,our data also suggested a causative role for MFN2 in the development of inflammatory responses and energy metabolic alterations by constructing a knockdown and overexpression cell model whereby alter proper ER-mitochondria interaction in Caco-2 ***,relative expression analyses of ER stress markers and NLRP3 inflammasome showed the onset of ER stress and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome,which is consistent with the above *** contrast,i

LA-ICP-MS dating of Zhangjiakou Formation volcanic rocks in the Zhangjiakou region and its geological significance

The geological cross section of the Zhangjiakou Formation is originally established in the Zhangjiakou region. From the dating of four samples from typical cross sections of the Zhangjiakou Formation in the Zhangjiakou region, the age range is found to be mainly from 143.0 ± 3.7 Myr to 136.1 ± 1.4 Myr, which almost equals the sum of the age range of the Zhangjiakou Formation (136-135 Myr) and that of the Tuchengzi Formation (143-136 Myr) in the Luanping region, and the Zhangjiakou and Tuchengzi Formations in Zhangjiakou-Luanping of North Hebei are found to be conformable. The evidence above indicates that the Zhangjiakou and Tuchengzi Formations, which are distributed in Zhangjiakou-Luanping, were formed under the same geological setting. Volcanic activity was earlier and longer (143-136 Myr) in the western region (Zhangjiakou) than that in the eastern region (Luanping). The "Zhangjiakou Formation"in Chengde and Pingquan formed in the period in which the Yixian Formation in West Liaoning formed, so should be renamed the Yixian Formation.

Climatic and non-climatic factors driving the livelihood vulnerability of smallholder farmers in Ahafo Ano North district,Ghana

Smallholder farmers in Ahafo Ano North district,Ghana,face multiple climatic and non-climatic *** study assessed the factors contributing to the livelihood vulnerability of smallholder farmers in this district by household surveys with 200 respondents and focus group discussions(FGDs)with 10 *** Mann–Kendall trend test was used to assess mean annual rainfall and temperature trends from 2002 to *** relative importance index(RII)value was used to rank the climatic and non-climatic factors perceived by *** socioeconomic characteristics affecting smallholder farmers’perceptions of climatic and non-climatic factors were evaluated by the binary logistic regression *** showed that mean annual rainfall decreased(P>0.05)but mean annual temperature significantly increased(P<0.05)from 2002 to 2022 in the *** key climatic factors perceived by smallholder farmers were extreme heat or increasing temperature(RII=0.498),erratic rainfall(RII=0.485),and increased windstorms(RII=0.475).The critical non-climatic factors were high cost of farm inputs(RII=0.485),high cost of healthcare(RII=0.435),and poor condition of roads to farms(RII=0.415).Smallholder farmers’perceptions of climatic and non-climatic factors were significantly affected by their socioeconomic characteristics(P<0.05).This study concluded that these factors negatively impact the livelihoods and well-being of smallholder farmers and socioeconomic characteristics influence their perceptions of these ***,to enhance the resilience of smallholder farmers to climate change,it is necessary to adopt a comprehensive and context-specific approach that accounts for climatic and non-climatic factors.

Polydopamine-modified collagen sponge scaffold as a novel dermal regeneration template with sustained release of platelet-rich plasma to accelerate skin repair:A one-step strategy

Although employed to release growth factors(GFs)for regenerative medicine,platelet-rich plasma(PRP)has been hindered by issues like burst *** on collagen sponge scaffolds(CSSs)modified with polydopamine(pDA),a novel dermal regeneration template(DRT)was ***,whether it could efficiently deliver PRP and even foster wound healing remained *** this work,after PRP was prepared and pDA-modified CSSs(pDA-CSSs)were fabricated,microscopic observation,GFs release assay and in-vitro biological evaluations of pDA-CSSs with PRP(pDA-CSS@PRP)were performed,followed by BALA-C/nu mice full-thickness skin defects implanted with pDA-CSS@PRP covered by grafted skins(termed as a One-step strategy).As a result,scanning electron microscope demonstrated more immobilized platelets on pDA-CSS′surface with GFs’controlled release via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,compared with *** line with enhanced in-vitro proliferation,adhesion and migration of keratinocytes&endothelial cells,pDA-CSS@PRP were histologically revealed to accelerate wound healing with less scar via rapid angiogenesis,arrangement of more mature collagen,guiding cells to spread,*** conclusion,pDA-CSSs have potential to serve as a novel DRT capable of delivering PRP,which may foster full-thickness skin defect healing by means of a One-step strategy.
