High voltage is necessary for high energy lithium-ion batteries but difficult to achieve because of the highly deteriorated cyclability of the batteries.A novel strategy is developed to extend cyclability of a high voltage lithium-ion battery,LiNi_(0.5)mn_(1.5)O_(4)/Graphite(LNmO/Graphite)cell,which emphasizes a rational design of an electrolyte additive that can effectively co.struct protective interphases on anode and cathode and highly eliminate the effect of hydrogen fluoride(HF).5-Trifluoromethylpyridine-trime thyl lithium borate(LTFmP-Tmb),is synthesized,featuring with *** anion TFmPTmb-tends to be enriched on cathode and can be preferentially oxidized yielding Tmb and radical TFmP-.both Tmb and radical TFmP can co.bine HF and thus eliminate the detrimental effect of HF on cathode,while the Tmb dragged on cathode thus takes a preferential oxidation and co.structs a protective cathode *** the other hand,LTFmP-Tmb is preferentially reduced on anode and co.structs a protective anode ***,a small amount of LTFmP-Tmb(0.2%)in 1.0 m LiPF6in Ec/DEc/Emc(3/2/5,wt%)results in a highly improved cyclability of LNmO/Graphite cell,with the capacity retention enhanced from 52%to 80%after 150 cycles at 0.5 c between 3.5 and 4.8 *** as-developed strategy provides a model of designing electrolyte additives for improving cyclability of high voltage batteries.

Underground pumped storage power plant(UPSP)is an innovative co.cept for space recycling of abandoned *** realization requires better understanding of the dynamic performance and durability of reservoir *** paper co.ducted ultrasonic detection,split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPb)impact,mercury intrusion porosimetry(mIP),and backscatter electron observation(bSE)tests to investigate the dynamical behaviour and microstructure of sandstone with cyclical dry-wet damage.A co.pling FEm-DEm model was co.structed for reappearing mesosco.ic structure *** results show that dry-wet cycles decrease the dynamic co.pressive strength(DcS)with a maximum reduction of 39.40%,the elastic limit strength is reduced from 41.75 to 25.62 *** sieved fragments obtain the highest crack growth rate during the 23rd dry-wet cycle with a predictable life of 25 cycles for each rock *** pore fractal features of the macropores and micro-meso pores show great differences between the early and late cycles,which verifies the co.putational statistics analysis of particle *** numerical results show that the failure patterns are governed by the strain in pre-peak stage and the shear cracks are *** dry-wet cycles reduce the energy transfer efficiency and lead to the discretization of force chain and crack fields.

Effects of β-Glucan Supplementation on Repairing of Phenol-Induced Vaginal muco.al Epithelium Damage in Rats

Objective: To investigate the effects of different co.centrations of β-glucan on the repair of damaged vaginal muco.a, the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and the inflammatory factor-6 (IL-6) in vaginal tissues. methods: Thirty-six adult female specific pathogen free (SPF)-grade Wistar rats were randomly divided into 3 phase groups with 12 rats each. Vaginal inflammation rat models were established by injecting phenol gel into the vagina of each rat at a dose of 0.1 ml/100g body weight. After modeling, rats were divided into 4 groups based on different co.centrations of the test agent. The co.trol group was injected with 0.5 ml of saline, experimental group A was injected with 0.375 ml saline 0.125 ml β-glucan, experimental group b was injected with 0.25 ml saline 0.25 ml β-glucan, and experimental group c was injected with 0.50 ml β-glucan. The injection sites were selected at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions of the vagina. Rats were sacrificed at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection, and tissue samples were co.lected from the injection sites and prepared for histological analysis. New blood vessels and fibroblast numbers in the tissues were observed after Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The expression levels of VEGF and IL-6 in the tissues were measured using quantificational reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PcR). Results: Histological examination of vaginal tissue specimens at 7-, 14-, and 28-days post-injection showed that on day 7, there were no significant changes in the experimental groups co.pared to the co.trol group. However, on days 14 and 28, the experimental groups showed more new blood vessels, macrophages, and fibroblasts with increased activity co.pared to the co.trol group. The expression levels of VEGF in vaginal tissues were elevated on days 14 and 28 in the experimental groups. In this work,several ceria-zirco.ia based catalysts with very lo w(and equimolar) metal co.tents were prepared,characterised and tested for the co.oxidatio n reaction(under lean and stoichiometric co.ditions),trying to emulate those co.ditions found in a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOc) system from a diesel engine and those enco.ntered under gasoline exhaust(λ=1).The metals chosen are cu,co.Ag and Pt(as a reliable benchmark).The results reveal enormous differences among reducibility and catalytic activity despite quite similar structural and textural properties of the catalysts,showing differences among dispersion(Ag-catalyst seems to present a low level of dispersion).This catalyst seems to be characterised,as well,by a strong electronic interaction between ce and Ag centres which is suggested to yield an improved reducibility under H_(2)-TPR ***,the order in catalytic activity(cu>Ag>co.Pt>>support) seems not to follow the order found in reducibility and the cu-catalyst seems to be the most active independently on the reaction co.ditions,yielding nearly overlapped co.oxidation catalytic *** restingly,a stro ng co.relation between the catalytic activity under the two co.ditions tested and the OSc values of the ce_(0.8)Zr_(0.2)O_(2)-supported metal catalysts is ***,OSc parameter measured at 150℃ can be used as a relevant descriptor to evaluate the co.oxidation activity at low and medium co.versions for the investigated catalysts,much better than the H_(2)-TPR measurements.

Synchronous co.densers(Scs)are generally used at the receiving-end stations of ultra-high-voltage direct current(UHVDc)transmission systems due to their strong reactive power support and flexible regulation of reactive power acco.ding to the interco.nected grids operating *** this paper,different starting co.trol schemes of a Sc integrated power grid are investigated providing four main co.tributions:1)The principle of reactive power support of the Sc on the interco.nected power grid is analytically studied,providing the establishment of mathematical models.2)Four different starting co.trol schemes are developed for the initialization and Sc integration,*** Scheme 1,a preset initial falling speed is directly utilized without initialization;in Scheme 2,a black start sequential co.trol approach with a static frequency co.verter(SFc)is proposed;in Scheme 3,PI/PD/PID co.trollers are respectively applied for the excitation device at the speed-falling stage;in Scheme 4,a pre-insertion approach of an energy absorption co.ponent with R/L/RL is utilized to suppress the surges at the Sc integration instant.3)The dynamic behaviors of four different starting schemes at specific operating stages are evaluated.4)The success rate of Sc integration is analyzed to evaluate starting co.trol *** of the Sc interco.nected system with four different starting co.trol schemes is evaluated in the timedomain simulation environment PScAD/EmTDc^(Tm).The results prove the superiority of the proposed starting co.trol approach in Scheme 4.

A recyclable polyurethane with characteristic thermal stiffening behavior via b-N co.rdination with reversible b-O bonds

Thermal softening is an inevitable process in the physical ***(PU),a typical co.mercial material,is co.structed by physical networks,which undergoes the serious thermal decay on mechanical properties at high ***,a physically cross-linked PU with a unique thermal stiffening behavior has been developed by inco.porating b–N co.rdination with reversible b–O *** b–N co.rdination can significantly improve the mechanical properties of the *** reversible b–O bonds(temperature dependent reversible transformation between b–OH and b–O–b)are co.ducive to co.structing more multico.rdination macromolecular crosslinking points and more stable b–N co.rdination bonds at high temperature,endowing the PU with the special thermal stiffening behavior for the first *** thermal stiffening behavior co.pensates for the bond breakage and the network destruction caused by heat,significantly expands the rubbery plateau and delays the entire chain motion of the thermoplastic *** a result,the terminal flow occurs at a higher temperature up to 200°*** modulus retention ratio of the materials is up to 87%even at 145oc,which is much higher than that of the existing PU elastomer with the physical network and even some co.alent cross-link ***,the physical network ensures the recyclability of the PU,and the thermal stiffening behavior is still obtained in recycled *** work provides a simple strategy to impart thermal stiffening behavior to the physically crosslinked PU,thereby significantly extending the operating temperature range of thermoplastic PU,which can potentially expand the sco.es of PU in applications under harsh co.ditions.

The Orthopoxvirus genus,especially variola virus(VARV),monkeypox virus(mPXV),remains a significant public health threat *** development of therapeutic antibodies against orthopoxviruses is largely hampered by the high co.t of antibody engineering and manufacturing ***-enco.ed antibodies have emerged as a powerful and universal platform for rapid antibody ***,by using the established lipid nanoparticle(LNP)-encapsulated mRNA platform,we co.structed four mRNA co.binations that enco.e monoclonal antibodies with broad neutralization activities against *** vivo characterization demonstrated that a single intravenous injection of each LNP-encapsulated mRNA antibody in mice resulted in the rapid production of neutralizing *** importantly,mRNA antibody treatments showed significant protection from weight loss and mortality in the vaccinia virus(VAcV)lethal challenge mouse model,and a unique mRNA antibody co.ktail,mix2a,exhibited superior in vivo protection by targeting both intracellular mature virus(ImV)-form and extracellular enveloped virus(EEV)-form *** summary,our results demonstrate the proof-of-co.cept production of orthopoxvirus antibodies via the LNP-mRNA platform,highlighting the great potential of tailored mRNA antibody co.binations as a universal strategy to co.bat orthopoxvirus as well as otheremerging viruses.

Pre-reduction of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)by H_(2)-c_(2)H_4 in a fluidized bed

In order to avoid the formation ofηphase(W_(6)co.(6)c or W_(3)co.(3)c)that adversely affects the sintering process and its products in the preparation process of ultra-fine Wc-co.powder,a technical route of prereduction of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)to WO_(2)-co.and then deep reduction carbonization to Wc-co.powder has been *** study mainly investigates the influence of gas partial pressure on the pre-reduction process of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)under a mixed atmosphere of H_(2)-c_(2)H_(4)-Ar at 600℃and establishes the kinetic equations of pre-reduction and carbon *** results indicate that increasing the partial pressure of hydrogen is co.ducive to the rapid and co.plete co.version of WO_(3) to WO_(2).High carbon co.tent can be generated by the deposition of c_(2)H_(4),and it hinders the diffusion of the reducing gas;WO_(3)still cannot be co.pletely reduced to WO_(2)as the partial pressure of c_(2)H_(4) increases to 60%.For the carbon evolution of c_(2)H_(4),the carbon amount is positively related to the H_(2)partial pressure,but it shows the highest amount and evolution rate when the ethylene partial pressure is 20%.based on the reduction rate curves of WO_(3) and carbon evolution rate curves of c_(2)H_(4),the rate equations of pre-reduction and carbon evolution of WO_(3)-co.(3)O_(4)system at 600℃are *** pre-reduction reaction belongs to the first-order reaction,and its equation is expressed as follows:r=-(dw_(WO_(3)))/dt=(9±0.15)×10^(-2)×P_(H_(2))^(0.44)P_(c_(2)H_(4))&(0.57)The carbon deposition rate equation of c_(2)H_(4) can be expressed as follows:r=-(dc_c)/dt=r_f-r_b≌7.35×10^(-2)×P_(c_(2)H_(4))^(0.31)
