The hydration reaction of a mixture of tricalcium aluminate (C3A) and gypsum with the molar ratio of 1:3 was carried out at room temperature and a water/solid ratio of 4.0. The hydration was carried out in presence of 0, 1 and 3% stearic acid and the mixes were designated as A, B and C, respectively. Ettringite was the only hydration product formed in the presence and absence of stearic acid. Phase composition, microstructure, infra-red analysis as well as degree of hydration were carried out for the different hydration mixtures. The rate of ettringite formation in the presence of 3% stearic acid was accelerated during the first half hour of hydration, and then retardation was occurred. In the presence of 1% stearic acid the ettringite formation was accelerated first till 3 days, then retardation was observed at later hydration ages.

The dielectric constant, e', and the dielectric loss. e', for some selected lead borate glasses within the frequency band 105 to 107 Hz and the temperature range (20-50)'C were measured. The dielectric dispersion and the dielectric loss absorption bands were observed. the relaxation time, the activation enthalpy and entropy change of the dielectric relaxation were calculated. The results obtained were discussed and correlated to the internal network structure of the glasses studied.

Objective To investigate the incidence and clinical features to probe the risk factors of hemorrhagic cystitis(HC)in children and adolescents with hematological diseases post haplohematopoietic stem cell transplantation(haplo-HSCT).Methods Medical records of 62 children and 27 adolescents with hematological diseases treated with haplo-HSCT between 2015 and 2016 were *** Of 89 cases(56 boys and 33 girls),44 patients were diagnosed with alL,33 AML,3 AHL and 9 *** occurred in 32 of the 89 patients with an incidence of 36%,including 6 with grade Ⅰ,16 with grade Ⅱ,8 with grade Ⅲ,2 with grade Ⅳ HC,*** median time of HC onset was 25 days(range 2-55 days)after haplo-HSCT with the median duration as 19 days(range 3-95 days),and all of them were *** incidence of HC was lower in the group of children than that in the group of adolescents(27.4% vs 55.6%,X^2=6.466,Pal diseases post haplo-HSCT,and older age is associated with increased mortality.

Objective To study the characteristics and treatments of meningiomas in children. Methods 12 cases of meningiomas in children treated in Qilu hospital were analyzed retrospectively and the literature was reviewed. Resuits In this series of 12 cases, the ratio of boys and girls was 2 ： 1, the age ranged from 1.5 to 15 years （mean 11. 5 years）. Increased intracranial pressure was the most common symptoms and signs. The tumors were located in the convexity in 5, ventricles in 2, parasagittal, parafalcine and intraparenchymal regions in 1 respectively.

Infectious conjunctivitis is no longer a common eye disease in cities and developed areas, but in remote mountainous regions of China where living conditions are relatively under-developed, the occurrence of infectious conjunctivitis remains a public health issue. Here, we evaluate the ratio of infectious conjunctivitis among primary school students in the rural areas of Xunhua, Huangyuan, and Huzhu Counties in the Qinghai province of China, and report the microorganisms involved in causing infection. Of the 765 eligible primary school students, 694 participated to this study(a response rateof 90.7%), 381 boys and 313 girls, with a mean age of 7.52 years(range 7–9 years). A clinical diagnosis of infectious conjunctivitis was returned for 238 of the 694 children examined. The ratio of infectious conjunctivitis in Xunhua County(46.64%) was higher compared to that in Huangyuan(26.67%; P=0.03) and Huzhu Counties(23.61%; P=0.02). The leading cause of conjunctivitis was bacterial, followed by chlamydial and viral. Our results show that there is a high ratio of infectious conjunctivitis among rural primary school students in Qinghai province.

Aims: To assess the validity of QTc dispersion to cardiac autonomic nervous function status. Method and results: Prospective comparisons of QTc dispersion measurements in 77 neurally mediated cardiac syncope(NMCS) patients (29 boys, 48 girls, mean age 13.4±0.78) were evaluated. Head-up tilt test(HUT)-was positive in 38 patients and negative in 39 patients. QTc dispersion was significantly higher early morning and late night in HUT-positive group compared with HUT-negative group(palthough there was a circadian rhythm in HUTpositive group, there was no change on the QTc dispersion within a day in the HUT-negative group. QTc dispersion in the HUT-positive group was high in accordance with their high sympathetic nervous stimulation. Moreover, QTc dispersion was higher during late night and early morning than the rest of the day. Conclusion: These results may explain why the HUT positive patients usually have their syncope attacks early in the morning. Additionaly, we can use QTc dispersion measurement as a new noninvasive electrocardiographic test to evaluate cardiac sympathetic nervous system in NMCS.
