Implication of Water-Rock Interaction for Enhancing Shale Gas Production

Horizontal well drilling and multi-stage hydraulic fracturing technologies are at the root of commercial shale gas development and *** these processes,typically,a large amount of working fluid enters the formation,resulting in widespread water-rock *** understanding such effects is required to optimize the production *** this study,the mechanisms of water-rock interaction and the associated responses of shale fabric are systematically reviewed for working fluids such as neutral fluids,acid fluids,alkali fluids and oxidative *** is shown that shale is generally rich in water-sensitive components such as clay minerals,acidsensitive components(like carbonate minerals),alkali-sensitive components(like quartz),oxidative-sensitive components(like organic matter and pyrite),which easily lead to change of rock fabric and mechanical properties owing to water-rock *** to the results,oxidizing acid fluids and oxidizing fracturing fluids should be used to enhance shale gas *** study also indicates that an aspect playing an important role in increasing cumulative gas production is the optimization of the maximum shut-in time based on the change point of the wellhead pressure drop *** important influential factor to be considered is the control of the wellhead pressure considering the stress sensitivity and creep characteristics of the fracture network.

In industrial control systems,the utilization of deep learning based methods achieves improvements for anomaly ***,most current methods ignore the association of inner components in industrial control *** industrial control systems,an anomaly component may affect the neighboring components;therefore,the connective relationship can help us to detect anomalies *** this paper,we propose a centrality-aware graph convolution network(CAGCN)for anomaly detection in industrial control *** the traditional graph convolution network(GCN)model,we utilize the concept of centrality to enhance the ability of graph convolution networks to deal with the inner relationship in industrial control *** experiments show that compared with GCN,our CAGCN has a better ability to utilize this relationship between components in industrial control *** performances of the model are evaluated on the Secure Water Treatment(SWaT)dataset and the Water Distribution(WADI)dataset,the two most common industrial control systems datasets in the field of industrial anomaly *** experimental results show that our CAGCN achieves better results on precision,recall,and F1 score than the state-of-the-art methods.

This paper presents a novel watermarking scheme designed to address the copyright protection challenges encountered with Neural radiation field(NeRF)*** employ an embedding network to integrate the watermark into the images within the training ***,theNeRFmodel is utilized for *** copyright verification,a secret image is generated by inputting a confidential viewpoint into *** this basis,design an extraction network to extract embedded watermark images fromconfidential *** the event of suspicion regarding the unauthorized usage of NeRF in a black-box scenario,the verifier can extract the watermark from the confidential viewpoint to authenticate the model’s *** experimental results demonstrate not only the production of visually appealing watermarks but also robust resistance against various types of noise attacks,thereby substantiating the effectiveness of our approach in safeguarding NeRF.

The shale gas development process is complex in terms of its flow mechanisms and the accuracy of the production forecasting is influenced by geological parameters and engineering parameters. Therefore, to quantitatively evaluate the relative importance of model parameters on the production forecasting performance, sensitivity analysis of parameters is required. The parameters are ranked according to the sensitivity coefficients for the subsequent optimization scheme design. A data-driven global sensitivity analysis(GSA) method using convolutional neural networks(CNN) is proposed to identify the influencing parameters in shale gas production. The CNN is trained on a large dataset, validated against numerical simulations, and utilized as a surrogate model for efficient sensitivity analysis. Our approach integrates CNN with the Sobol' global sensitivity analysis method, presenting three key scenarios for sensitivity analysis: analysis of the production stage as a whole, analysis by fixed time intervals, and analysis by declining rate. The findings underscore the predominant influence of reservoir thickness and well length on shale gas production. Furthermore, the temporal sensitivity analysis reveals the dynamic shifts in parameter importance across the distinct production stages.

Objective To systematically summarize the published literature on the genetic variants associated with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Methods Literature from Web of Science,PubMed,and Embase between January 1980 and September 2022 was systematically ***-analyses of the genetic variants were conducted using at least five data *** epidemiologic credibility of the significant associations was graded using the Venice *** Based on literature screening,399 eligible studies were included,comprising 381 candidate gene association,16 genome-wide association,and 2 whole-exome sequencing *** identified 465 genetic variants in 173 genes in candidate gene association studies,and 25 genetic variants in 17 genes were included in the *** meta-analysis identified 11 variants in 10 genes that were significantly associated with NAFLD,with cumulative epidemiological evidence of an association graded as strong for two variants in two genes(HFE,TNF),moderate for four variants in three genes(TM6SF2,GCKR,and ADIPOQ),and weak for five variants in five genes(MBOAT7,PEMT,PNPLA3,LEPR,and MTHFR).Conclusion This study identified six variants in five genes that had moderate to strong evidence of an association with NAFLD,which may help understand the genetic architecture of NAFLD risk.

Background:On 12 October 2015,a cholera outbreak involving 65 cases and two deaths was reported in a fishing village in Hoima District,Western *** initial response by the local health department,the outbreak *** conducted an investigation to identify the source and mode of transmission,and recommend evidenceled interventions to control and prevent cholera outbreaks in this ***:We defined a suspected case as the onset of acute watery diarrhoea from 1 October to 2 November 2015 in a resident of Kaiso Village.A confirmed case was a suspected case who had Vibrio cholerae isolated from *** found cases by record review and active community case *** performed descriptive epidemiologic analysis for hypothesis *** an unmatched case-control study,we compared exposure histories of 61 cases and 126 controls randomly selected among asymptomatic village *** also conducted an environmental assessment and obtained meteorological data from a weather ***:We identified 122 suspected cases,of which six were culture-confirmed,47 were confirmed positive with a rapid diagnostic test and two *** two deceased cases had onset of the disease on 2 October and 10 October,*** rainfall occurred on 7-11 October;a point-source outbreak occurred on 12-15 October,followed by continuous community transmission for two *** residents usually collected drinking water from three lakeshore points-A,B and C:9.8%(6/61)of case-persons and 31%(39/126)of control-persons were found to usually use point A,21%(13/61)of case-persons and 37%(46/126)of control-persons were found to usually use point B(OR=1.8,95%CI:0.64-5.3),and 69%(42/61)of case-persons and 33%(41/126)of control-persons were found to usually use point C(OR=6.7;95%CI:2.5-17)for water *** case-persons(61/61)and 93%(117/126)of control-persons reportedly never treated/boiled drinking water(OR=∞,95%CIFisher:1.0-∞).The village’s piped water syste
