An assembly-to-order system, which at the end the buffer distinguishes its assembly stages of the system from the downstream systems, is considered in this paper. The system produces semi-finished products for the downstream system and starts from a basic subassembly, and at each stage a component is assembled into the corresponding subassembly. The basic subassembly, components and buffer all follow a periodic-review, order up-to-level inventory policy. The buffer holds the semi-finished products to serve the specific demand from the downstream system. The service level of the system is determined by aggregate effects of the components held at stockpiles before the buffer and the basic subassembly. In order to measure the service level of the system, some notations and assumptions are made, on which the closed form expression of the service level of the system is achieved.

Photovoltaics(PV)has been combined with many other industries,such as *** there are many problems for the sustainability of PV *** and accurate sustainability evaluation of modern photovoltaic agriculture is of great significance for accelerating the sustainable development of modern photovoltaic *** order to improve the timeliness and accuracy of evaluation,this paper proposes an evaluation model based on interval type-2 Fuzzy AHP-TOPSIS and least squares support vector machine optimized by fireworks ***,the criteria system of modern photovoltaic agriculture sustainability is constructed from three dimensions including technology sustainability,economic sustainability and social ***,analytic hierarchy process(AHP)and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution(TOPSIS)methods are improved by using interval type-2 fuzzy theory,and the traditional evaluation model based on interval type-2 Fuzzy AHP-TOPSIS is obtained,and the improved model is used for comprehensive *** that,the optimal parameters of least squares support vector machine(LSSVM)model are obtained by Fireworks algorithm(FWA)training,and the intelligent evaluationmodel for the sustainability of modern photovoltaic agriculture is constructed to realize fast and intelligent ***,an empirical analysis is conducted to demonstrate the scientificity and accuracy of the proposed *** study is conducive to the comprehensive evaluation of the sustainability of modern photovoltaic agriculture,and can provide decision-making support for more reasonable development model in the future of modern photovoltaic agriculture.

This study investigates the internationalization and resource accumulation process of the three largest Chinese construction machinery companies： Sany, XCMG and Zoomlion. It takes a longitudinal approach to analyze the internationalization process of the three companies over the last 25 years. Although the three companies＇ paths in the early acquisition of technologies and firm-specific advantages （FSA） differ significantly, however, their internationalization process exhibits similar pattern. They all exploit the same home-country based FSAs in their south-south expansion into other emerging markets, and seem to mimic each other in their strategic moves. In the south-north expansion into advanced economies they skip the export stage and rely almost exclusively on foreign direct investment of both forms, greenfield and M＆A, to pursue asset augmenting objectives and overcome their ＂liability of origin＂. The study concludes by discussing several topics of interest, such as the implications of accelerated resource accumulation, the impact on competition with advanced multinationals in the home market or possible effects on the level of state support and risk taking behavior in the internationalization process by the companies＇ ownership type.

In a new world era, where financial systems are being restructured, manufacturing insight reconsidered and ways of doing business is changing, the foundry industry has to adapt herself to the winds of change by placing all her inputs onto the table and reevaluate them to fit into this new era. The inherent strengths of the foundry industry alone would not be enough to fit in this change process, where careful and intelligent operation of the back offcie and the front office of the foundry should come into the picture. The recent global crisis and previous ones have had positive effects on the improvement of foundry competitiveness by opening opportunities to change and "clean the house". The survival strategies, as well as what actions to be taken for growth and maintaining a strong foot print in this complicated atmosphere, is discussed in several headlines. In the long run, survival of individual foundries depends on well managed orchestration by the "decision makers" of each individual component of the foundry. Sustainability of the whole is the sum of survival capabilities of its components and the management of their harmonization.

To the Editor:Esophageal cancer,one of the most common cancer types in China,with an estimated 346,633 new cases and 323,600 deaths in 2022,is becoming an increasingly serious clinical and public health problem.^([1])The successful promotion of the self-management strategy has indicated that lifestyle modifications can be valuable in the primary prevention of cancer *** a healthy lifestyle has become a novel strategy for primary prevention and risk reduction in high-risk *** epidemiological studies have identified several lifestyle-related risk factors for esophageal cancer,including smoking and diet.^([2])Each factor can typically explain a modest proportion of cancer ***,when combined,these known risk factors may substantially affect the risk of esophageal ***,some risk factors for esophageal cancer are non-modifiable,including age,low socioeconomic status,and family *** and how these non-modifiable risk factors affect primary cancer prevention by intervening with modifiable risk factors remain unclear.

Stereoscopic porous carbons have shown good potential in humic acid(HA) removal. In this work, a novel stereoscopic porous activated carbon(SPAC) was designed and synthesized via the self-assembly of a hydrogel based on food waste during in-situ polymerization, vacuum drying, carbonization, and activation. Then, the SPAC was functionalized with 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane(APTES) and the adsorption behavior of the modified SPAC(SPAC-NH_2) was studied systematically. The effects of pH, contact time, initial concentration of HA, and adsorbent dose were investigated, showing that optimal HA removal efficiency(>98.0%) could be achieved at an initial HA concentration of 100 mg/L. The experimental adsorption isotherm data was fitted to the Langmuir model with a maximum adsorption capacity of 156.0 mg HA/g SPAC-NH_2. Analysis of the mechanism indicated that the removal of HA was mainly realized through the amidization reaction between the \COOH groups of HA and the \NH_2 groups of APTES. All of the above results showed that SPAC-NH_2 powder is an efficient,eco-friendly, and reusable adsorbent which is suitable for the removal of HA from wastewater.

Establishment and Analysis of the Fault Tree for the Oil Transfer Pump System in CNPC Work Zone

The reliability of the equipment is very important for the large petrochemical industry, especially for oil pump as the core component of driving equipment. In order to reduce the loss of the enterprise brought by equipment failure, it is need to find those reasons which may lead to equipment failure and take some preventive measures as early as possible. This article analyzes the failure of the oil transfer pump system in CNPC work zone systematically, qualitatively and quantitatively, using the fault tree analysis method. Then 105 groups of minimal cut sets are found, and the probability of system failure after a certain time operation is calculated by using Weibull distribution. Combined with specific requirements of reliability, the work zone may make a scientific decision of plant maintenance cycle according to the conclusion.

Praxis and doctrine agree on the importance of innovation for the competitiveness and profitability of the firm. Innovation is considered as a leverage to start a virtuous circle that improves company performance and, consequently, reduce financial constraints for its development. Being creative is definitely the first mechanism that leads to innovation. Creativity spreads from both the individuals that work in the firm and from the social processes and contextual factors that characterize individual relationships within the company. Relational capital is the second mechanism that brings innovation. Relationships with clients, suppliers, competitors, producers of complementary products, public and private research institutions provide creative elements that, once screened, give rise to innovation. The first mechanism requires the firm to be creative on its own as innovations come directly from within the organization （＂closed innovation＂ model）. In the second, the firm must get in touch with potentially innovative idea~ coming from outside （＂open innovation＂ model）. Doctrine and praxis point out that firms, which do not stop at the first mechanism of innovation, turn out to be more innovative. The paper is structured as follows. In the first part, a theoretical framework is provided, describing the main findings, in the literature, in terms of relationships among innovation, creativity and relational capital. The second part is based on the analysis of two case studies. The first case （Coswell）, the very different degree of success （in terms of generated income） of its products seems to be tightly related on how much ＂relational capital＂ is ＂inside＂ the innovation. In the second case （Pastificio Rana） shows that innovation resulting from relational capital allows the company to excel against its far bigger and financially superior competitors.

Market demand is becoming increasingly time-sensitive in competitive ***,supply disruptions will have a more serious impact on the profits of supply *** study applies a Stackelberg competition between a single supplier and a single manufacturer in a time-sensitive supply chain in a cloud manufacturing *** aim to address the supplier’s production capacity recovery issues and the manufacturer’s incentive decision issues after supply *** find that the supplier is in a weak position when the information is *** manufacturer can encourage the supplier to shorten the recovery time by raising the unit wholesale *** the supplier’s unit production cost remains unchanged but the unit wholesale price increases,the profit of the supplier first increases and then *** addition,under the centralized decision-making setting,the optimal recovery time of the supplier is shorter and the optimal unit market price of the product is lower than that under decentralized *** further find that resource sharing can shorten the optimal recovery time,but it does not necessarily play an incentivizing role.
