This paper proposes a new customer lifetime model:the Gamma/Weibull distribution(G/W).Similar to the Pareto/NBD model,we propose a G/W/NBD model by combining the G/W distribution with a negative binomial distribution(NBD)and study its properties such as(i)the probability that a customer to be alive at a time point;(ii)the expectation and variance of the number of transactions for a customer during a fixed time period;(iii)the conditional expectation and conditional variance of the number of future transactions for a customer during a fixed time *** simulation studies are conducted to investigate the forecasting accuracy and flexibility of the proposed model.A CDNOW data set is analyzed by the proposed model.

A country’s ability to create complex goods and diversify its lines of products is essential for addressing all types of *** a country’s vulnerability to extreme climatic events,such as droughts,superstorms,and other natural disasters,and its capacity for successful adaption,is an essential global need that has been *** study examines the role of economic fitness(EF)in addressing climate change risk ex‐posure in BRiCS countries in the context of the environmental Kuznets curve using panel data from 1995 to *** threshold methodology is employed to ascertain the nonlinear relationship between EF and climate change risk exposure(i.e.,Notre Dame Global Adaptation initiative Country index(ND-GAiN)).in addition,empirical associations were estimated using panel-corrected standard errors,Driscoll-Kraay standard errors,and feasible generalized least squares estimation *** findings demonstrated an inverted N shaped link between EF and ***,even after controlling for significant ND-GAiN influencing variables such as gross domestic product per capita,financial development,and urbanization,our robustness checks revealed significant and consistent findings.

This study analyses the role played by organizational ambidexterity and open innovation in innovation outputs,considering business units with different levels of technological intensity(medium-high and high tech,and medium-low and low tech)for countries with different inno-vation *** countries considered in this paper are i)Estonia and Slovenia as innovation followers;i)Slovakia,Hungary,Spain,Czech Republic,italy,Portugal,Norway,and Croatia as moderate innovators;and ii)Bulgaria,Lithuania and Romania as modest *** the empirical approach,the research hypotheses arise from the literature review and are tested using secondary data collected from the Community innovation Survey(CiS)*** conceptual model is tested using the logistic regression method,which indicates suitable accuracy and reliability for empirical testing *** evidence reveals that for innovation followers,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of eco-innovation,marketing innovation,and product *** moderate innovators,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of product innovation,process innovation,and *** modest in-novators,ambidexterity has a greater influence on the practice of product innovation,process innovation,and *** regard to open innovation,for innovation followers,this has a negative influence on product innovation in medium-high and high-tech *** moderate innovators,open innovation has a greater influence in process,organizational,and *** the case of modest innovators,open innovation is more significant for innovation outputs in product,organizational,and marketing *** is not always positively related to innovation outputs.

We conducted the first light curve study of the binary star EL Tuc within the Binary Systems of South and North project's *** photometric observations were made using standard multiband BVR_ci_c filters at an observatory in *** presented a new ephemeris for EL Tuc and a linear fit to the O–C diagram,utilizing our extracted times of minima and additional *** employed the PHysics Of Eclipsing BinariEs Python code and the Markov chain Monte Carlo approach for the system's light curve *** target system's light curve solution required a cold starspot on the hotter *** conclude that EL Tuc is a total contact binary system with a low mass ratio of q=0.172±0.002,an orbital inclination of i=83°.74±0°.40,and a fillout factor of f=53.7%±1.6%.We used the P-a relationship and the Gaia data Release 3 parallax method to determine the absolute parameters of EL Tuc to compare the precision of our *** system was classified as W-type based on the mass and effective temperature of the companion *** positions of the systems were depicted on the M-L,M-R,T-M,and *** relationship between the spectroscopic and photometric mass ratios of binaries was discussed.

Most studies on influence maximization focus on one-shot propagation, i.e., the influence is propagated from seed users only once following a probabilistic diffusion model and users’ activation are determined via single cascade. in reality it is often the case that a user needs to be cumulatively impacted by receiving enough pieces of information propagated to her before she makes the final purchase decision. in this paper we model such cumulative activation as the following process: first multiple pieces of information are propagated independently in the social network following the classical independent cascade model, then the user will be activated(and adopt the product) if the cumulative pieces of information she received reaches her cumulative activation threshold. Two optimization problems are investigated under this framework: seed minimization with cumulative activation(SM-CA), which asks how to select a seed set with minimum size such that the number of cumulatively active nodes reaches a given requirement η; influence maximization with cumulative activation(iM-CA), which asks how to choose a seed set with fixed budget to maximize the number of cumulatively active nodes. For SM-CA problem, we design a greedy algorithm that yields a bicriteria O(ln n)-approximation when η = n, where n is the number of nodes in the network. For both SM-CA problem with η iM-CA problem, we prove strong inapproximability results. Despite the hardness results, we propose two efficient heuristic algorithms for SM-CA and iM-CA respectively based on the reverse reachable set approach. Experimental results on different real-world social networks show that our algorithms significantly outperform baseline algorithms.

Geoportals have been the primary source of spatial information to researchers in diverse *** years have seen a growing trend to integrate spatial analysis and geovisual analytics inside *** could use the Geoportal to conduct basic analysis without offline *** practice,domain-specific analysis often requires researchers to integrate heterogeneous data sources,leverage new statistical models,or build their own customized *** tasks are increasingly being tackled with open source tools in programming languages such as Python or ***,it is unrealistic to incorporate the numerous open source tools in a Geoportal platform for data processing and *** work provides an exploratory effort to bridge Geoportals and open source tools through Python *** Geoportal demonstrated in this work is the Urban and Regional Explorer for China studies.A python package is provided to manipulate this platform in the local programming *** server side of the Geoportal implements a set of service endpoints that allows the package to upload,transform,and process user data and seamlessly integrate them into the existing datasets.A case study is provided that illustrated the use of this package to conduct integrated analyses of search engine data and baseline census *** work attempts a new direction in Geoportal development,which could further promote the transformation of Geoportals into online analytical workbenches.
