Objective To explore the relation between platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)or neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)with disease activity in Takayasu arteritis(TA)*** Present retrospective study involved 289 patients with TA,who were hospitalized in our department between January 2010 and October 2017,and 280 age and gender matched healthy controls,who underwent health examination in our health examination center during the same period(control group).TA patients were further divided into active and inactive groups(180 and 109 cases respectively)according to Kerr *** clinical data were compared between *** correlation analysis was used to evaluate the relationship between PLR or NLR and disease activity(Kerr score or C-reactive protein or erythrocyte sedimentation rate).Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was employed to judge the cut-off value of disease activity for TA *** PLR and NLR were significantly higher in TA group than in control group(137.33(97.38,193.37)vs.120.55(98.86,144.60)and 2.38(1.76,3.57)vs.1.66(1.35,2.08),respectively,all Pthan in inactive TA group(163.43(123.64,224.15)vs.110.53(84.22,147.24)and 2.59(1.96,3.94)vs.1.95(1.53,2.86)respectively,all Pths treatment(164.05(123.29,226.29)vs.104.67(77.22,138.43)and 2.58(1.96,3.91)vs.2.15(1.67,2.60)respectively,all Pth Kerr score(r=0.439,Pthrocyte sedimentation rate(r=0.410,Pth Kerr score(r=0.235,Pthrocyte sedimentation rate(r=0.123,P=0.037).A PLR level of 176.709 was shown to be the best predictive cut-off value for TA disease activity(sensitivity 44.6%,specificity 93.0%,and area under the curve=0.766).A NLR level of 2.128 was sho

Objective To observe the clinical effects and safety on female depression treated with the combined therapy of acupuncture and the five-element music therapy. Methods A total of 120 female patients with depression were randomized into an electroacupuncture (EA) group, an acupuncture group, a five-element music therapy group and a group of tlie combined therapy of acupuncture and the five-element music therapy (combined therapy group), 30 cases in each one. In the EA group, the electric stimulation of acupuncture was applied at Baihui (GV20),Shenting ( GV24), Neiguan (PC6), Shenmen (HT7), Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Taic hong (LR 3), with disperse-dense wave, 10 Hz/50 Hz, and 0.5 ms in wave length.

Recent advances in the combined delivery platform that integrate nano-/microscale carriers and with 3D hydrogel network for bone regeneration are *** strategies for bioactive molecules delivery involving nanoparticles, nanosheets, and microspheres, along with extra stimuli such as near-infrared light, temperature changes, ultrasonication, and inflammatory conditions, are *** prospects and challenges for the clinical translation and the development of nano-/microscale incorporated hydrogel-based delivery platform are discussed. Bioactive molecules have shown great promise for effectively regulating various bone formation processes, rendering them attractive therapeutics for bone regeneration. However, the widespread application of bioactive molecules is limited by their low accumulation and short half-lives in vivo. Hydrogels have emerged as ideal carriers to address these challenges, offering the potential to prolong retention times at lesion sites, extend half-lives in vivo and mitigate side effects, avoid burst release, and promote adsorption under physiological conditions. this review systematically summarizes the recent advances in the development of bioactive molecule-loaded hydrogels for bone regeneration, encompassing applications in cranial defect repair, femoral defect repair, periodontal bone regeneration, and bone regeneration with underlying diseases. Additionally, this review discusses the current strategies aimed at improving the release profiles of bioactive molecules through stimuli-responsive delivery, carrier-assisted delivery, and sequential delivery. Finally, this review elucidates the existing challenges and future directions of hydrogel encapsulated bioactive molecules in the field of bone regeneration.

Gas sensor is an indispensable part of modern society with wide applications in environmental monitoring, healthcare, food industry, public safety, etc. With the development of sensor technology, wireless communication, smart monitoring terminal, cloud storage/computing technology, and artificial intelligence, smart gas sensors represent the future of gas sensing due to their merits of real-time multifunctional monitoring, early warning function, and intelligent and automated feature. Various electronic and optoelectronic gas sensors have been developed for high-performance smart gas analysis. With the development of smart terminals and the maturity of integrated technology, flexible and wearable gas sensors play an increasing role in gas analysis. this review highlights recent advances of smart gas sensors in diverse applications. the structural components and fundamental principles of electronic and optoelectronic gas sensors are described, and flexible and wearable gas sensor devices are highlighted. Moreover, sensor array with artificial intelligence algorithms and smart gas sensors in "Internet of things" paradigm are introduced. Finally, the challenges and perspectives of smart gas sensors are discussed regarding the future need of gas sensors for smart city and healthy living.

BACKGROUND:Tumor angiogenesis is essential for primary and metastatic tumor *** tomography perfusion(CTP)is a new imaging method,made possible by the recent development of fast CT scanners and improved data analysis techniques,which allows measurement of the physiologic and hemodynamic properties of tissue *** study aimed to evaluate CTP in the quantification of angiogenesis and to assess the relationship between tissue perfusion parameters and microvascular density(MVD)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),attempting to detect the physiologic properties of ***:Sixteen rabbits with VX2 liver tumors underwent multi-slice CT perfusion(MSCTP)on day 14 after tumor *** parameters included hepatic blood flow(HBF),hepatic blood volume(HBV),mean transit time(MTT),permeability of capillary vessel surface(PS),hepatic artery index(HAI),hepatic artery perfusion(HAP),and hepatic portal perfusion(HPP).the border of the tumor was stained with CD34 and VEGF immunohistochemical stains,and MVD was measured by ***,CTP parameters were determined whether they were correlated with MVD and VEGF using Pearson’s correlation ***:the positive expression of MVD was different in the center and border of the tumor(Pthere was a positive correlation between MVD and VEGF in the border(Pthe number of microvessels *** analyses were also made between the perfusion parameters and MVD and VEGF in the border of the ***,PS,HAI,and HAP values were positively correlated with MVD and VEGF(Pth MVD and VEGF(Pth MVD and VEGF(P>0.05).CONCLUSIONS:Significant correlations were found between perfusion parameters and MVD and ***,MSCTP can be used to evaluate tumor angiogenesis in vivo.

BACKGROUND: CT perfusion has been reported to have great advantages in detecting hepatic diseases. However, currently there are no studies showing the potential value of multi-slice CT perfusion with the deconvolution model method in diagnosing early hemodynamic changes caused by liver tumors. this study was undertaken to determine if early hemodynamic changes caused by liver tumors can be depicted with the perfusion imaging of multi-slice CT. MEthODS: Ten New Zealand white rabbits before and after VX2 liver tumor inoculation served as the experimental animals. Ten normal rabbits served as controls. All underwent multi-slice CT perfusion for the measurement of hepatic blood flow (HBF), hepatic blood volume (HBV), mean transit time (MTT), permeability of capillary vessel surface (PS) and hepatic artery index (HAI). RESULTS: With the exception of MTT, which decreased significantly at the tumor periphery, HBF, HBV,. PS and HAI increased significantly compared with the surrounding normal tissue. All these changes occurred at days 5-9 after tumor inoculation. Statistically significant changes in these values were detected with tumor growth. CONCLUSIONS: the hemodynamic changes in the liver caused by rabbit VX2 liver tumor can be detected after tumor inoculation, and functional CT can evaluate the physiological characteristics of early tumor angiogenesis.
