Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION Routine methods of identifying Rickettsiae include isolation of culture, tissue culture, immunoserodiagnosis, and blood agglutination test, etc. The time for isolation and culture of pathogens needs one or several months. This gives great difficulty for clinical diagnosis and identification of pathogens. Therefore, the searching of a rapid, sensitive, specific, safe, and simple examination method is urgently needed.

In the wake of Wenchuan earthquake, many international friendship organizations and friends extended their helping hands and via the CPAFFC donated money and various relief materials to the people in the earthquake-hit areas. Up to May 31, the CPAFFC has received altogether 606,310 RMB yuan, 24,850 US dollars, 100,500 euros and 3,854,000 Japanese yen, as well as 2,607 relief tents and other materials urgently needed in the devastated areas including medicines and nursing materials, blankets, drinking water, etc.
