Catalytic ozonation is an effective wastewater purification ***,the low ozone mass transfer in packed bubble columns leads to low ozone utilization efficiency(OUE),poor organic degradation performance,and high energy ***,there is an urgent need to develop efficient supported catalysts that can enhancemass transfer and ***,the reaction mechanism of the support on ozone mass transfer remains unclear,which hinders the development of catalytic ozonation *** this study,lava rocks(LR)-supported catalysts,specifically CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR and MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR,were proposed for catalytic ozonation of IBP degradation due to their superior catalytic activity,stability,and high *** of CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR or MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR increased IBP removal efficiency from 85%to 91%or 88%,and reduced energy consumption from 2.86 to 2.14 kWh/m^(3)or 2.60 kWh/m^(3),*** improvement was attributed to LRsupported catalysts enhancing mass transfer and promoting O3 decomposition to generate•OH and•O_(2)^(−),leading to IBP ***,this study investigated the effects of ozone dose,supporter sizes,and catalyst components on ozone-liquid mass *** results revealed that the size of the supporter influenced stacked porosity and consequently affected ozone mass ***-sized LR(kLa=0.172 min^(−1))exhibited better mass transfer compared to smaller-sized *** on these findings,it was concluded that both CuMn_(2)O_(4)@LR and MnO_(2)–Co_(3)O_(4)@LR are potential catalysts for catalytic ozonation in residual IBP degradation of pharmaceutical wastewater,and LR showed good credibility as a catalyst *** the effects of supporters and active components on ozone mass transfer provides a fundamental principle for designing supported catalysts in catalytic ozonation applications.

Preparation of Nano-Sized γ-Al_2O_3 supported Iron catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis by Solvated Metal Atom Impregnation Methods

Two types of small iron clusters supported on γ-Al2O3-RT（dehydroxylated at room temperature） and γ-Al2O3-800 （dehydroxylated at 800 ℃） were prepared by solvated metal atom impregnation （SMAI） techniques. The iron atom precursor complex, bis（toluene）iron（0） formed in the metal atom reactor, was impregnated into γ-Al2O3 having different concentrations of surface hydroxyl groups to study the effect of surface hydroxylation on the crucial stage of iron cluster formation. catalysts prepared in this way were characterized by TEM, Mǒssbauer, and chemisorption measurements, and the results show that higher concentration of surface hydroxyl groups of γ-Al2O3-RT favors the formation of more positively charged supported iron cluster Fen/γ-Al2O3-RT, and the lower concentration of surface hydroxyl groups of γ-Al2O3-800 favors the formation of basically neutral supported iron cluster Fen/γ-Al2O3-800. The measured results also indicate that the higher concentration of surface hydroxyl groups causes the rapid decomposition of precursor complex, bis（toluene）iron（0）, and favors the formation of relatively large iron cluster. Consequently, these two types of catalysts show different catalytic properties in Fischer-Tropsch reaction. The catalytic pattern of Fen/γ-Al2O3-RT in F-T reaction is similar to that of the unreduced γ-Fe2O3 and that of Fen/γ-Al2O3-800 is similar to that of the reduced α-Fe2O3.

Controlled Radical Polymerization of Methyl Methacrylate Catalyzed by Hybrid supported Iron catalyst

A supported iron catalyst, which was prepared by anchoring FeCl2/FeCl3 on the cross-linking macroporous polyacrylate ion exchange resin, was evaluated via the controlled radical polymerization. When a small amount of CuCl2/ Me6TREN was added, the controllability of the polymerization over the iron-mediated catalyst was significantly improved（Mw/Mn = 1.23-1.73 ）, affording a polymer with a low residual metal via a simple catalyst separation procedure. After suitable regeneration, the supported iron catalyst could also he recycled. UV-Vis analysis showed that the additional copper catalyst could facilitate the radical deactivation process.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis by reduced graphene oxide nanosheets supported cobalt catalysts: role of support and metal nanoparticle size on catalyst activity and products selectivity

In this paper,a series of cobalt catalysts supported on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)nanosheets with the loading of 5,15 and 30 wt-%were provided by the impregnation *** activity of the prepared catalysts is evaluated in the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis(FTS).The prepared catalysts were carefully characterized by nitrogen adsorption-desorption,hydrogen chemisorption,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,temperature programmed reduction,transmission electron microscopy,and field emission scanning electron microscopy techniques to confirm that cobalt particles were greatly dispersed on the rGO *** results showed that with increasing the cobalt loading on the rGO support,the carbon defects are increased and as a consequence,the reduction of cobalt is *** FTS activity results showed that the cobalt-time yield and turnover frequency passed from a maximum for catalyst with the Co0 average particle size of 15 nm due to the synergetic effect of cobalt reducibility and particle *** products selectivity results indicated that the methane selectivity decreases,whereas the C5+selectivity raises with the increasing of the cobalt particle size,which can be explained by chain propagation in the primary chain growth reactions.

Developing high-performance catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction to replace costly platinum-based materials is of great importance but still confronted with ***,a kind of supported palladium liquid metal catalyst,which is prepared by galvanic replacement,surpasses commercial Pt/C and Pd/C in oxygen reduction catalysis with a higher half-wave potential of 0.92 V,mass activity of 1.85 A/mgPd at 0.90 V,and superior *** liquid metal support can both optimize the electronic structures of Pd sites and guarantee the dispersion of Pd atoms,which explains the enhanced activity and durability,*** work opens an avenue for rational design of catalysts.

Monodisperse Nickel Nanoparticles supported on SiO_(2) as an Effective catalyst for the Hydrolysis of Ammonia-Borane

Monodisperse Ni nanoparticles(NPs)have been synthesized by the reduction of nickel(Ⅱ)acetylacetonate with the borane–tributylamine complex in a mixture of oleylamine and oleic *** Ni NPs are an active catalyst for the hydrolysis of the ammonia–borane(AB,H3N⋅BH3)complex under ambient conditions and their activities are dependent on the chemical nature of the oxide support that they were deposited *** various oxides(SiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),and CeO_(2))tested,SiO_(2)was found to enhance Ni NP catalytic activity due to the etching of the 3.2 nm Ni NPs giving Ni(Ⅱ)ions and the subsequent reduction of Ni(Ⅱ)that led to the formation of 1.6 nm Ni NPs on the SiO_(2)*** kinetics of the hydrolysis of AB catalyzed by Ni/SiO_(2)was shown to be dependent on catalyst and substrate concentration as well as *** Ni/SiO_(2)catalyst has a turnover frequency(TOF)of 13.2 mol H_(2)⋅(mol Ni)^(–1)⋅min^(–1)—the best ever reported for the hydrolysis of AB using a nickel catalyst,an activation energy of 34 kJ/mol±2 kJ/mol and a total turnover number of 15,400 in the hydrolysis of *** is a promising candidate to replace noble metals for catalyzing AB hydrolysis and for hydrogen generation under ambient conditions.

MCM-41-supported Bidentate Phosphine Rhodium Complex： An Efficient and Recyclable Heterogeneous catalyst for the Hydrosilylation of Olefins

MCM-41-supported bidentate phosphine rhodium complex （MCM-41-2P-RhC13） was conveniently synthesized from commercially available and cheap γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane via immobilization on MCM-41, followed by reacting with diphenylphosphinomethanol and rhodium chloride. It was found that the title complex is a highly efficient catalyst for the hydrosilylation of olefins with triethoxysilane and can be recovered and recycled by a simple filtration of the reaction solution and used for at least 10 consecutive trials without any decreases in activity.

Silica supported Perchloric Acid： A Convenient and Environmentally Friendly catalyst for the One-pot Multicomponent Synthesis of ,β-Acetamido Ketones

A modified Dakin-West one-pot, four-component condensation of an aryl aldehyde, aryl ketone, acetyl chloride and acetonitrile in the presence of silica supported perchloric acid as an active, inexpensive, recoverable and recyclable catalyst is reported for the synthesis of β-acetamido ketones under mechanical stirring and ultrasonic irradiation conditions. This system has advantages of short reaction times, good to excellent yields and the ability to carry out the large scale reactions. The use of ultrasound increases the rate of reactions compared with reactions at reflux conditions.

Characteristics of Titanocene catalyst supported on Palygorskite for Ethylene Polymerization

A series of heterogeneous catalysts with Cp2TiCl2 supported on palygorskite were prepared and evaluated by ethylene slurry polymerizations. The so-called direct supported catalyst, for which the pretreatment of palygorskite with MAO or Al（i-Bu）3 was not necessary, gave the highest activity among these supported catalysts and could be more robust than homogeneous Cp2TiCl2. With the direct supported catalyst, no significant activity loss was observed under low Al/Ti molar ratios （Al/Ti=300） and the decay of polymerization rate was slower when compared to the other supported catalysts. It was found that the surface Lewis acidity of palygorskite after thermal treatment played an important role in activation of metallocene compound and resulted in high catalyst activity.
