Objective:To investigate the effect of Heliotropium indicum L.(*** L.)on uterine involution and its underlying mechanisms in both in vivo and in vitro ***:For in vivo studies,postpartum rats were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=24 for each):control group and treated group which were orally and daily administered with ethanolic extract of *** L.(250 mg/kg body weight)until day 5 of *** were collected for analysis of weight,cross-sectional area,collagen cross-sectional area,and collagen content on postpartum day 1,3,and 5(n=8 for each)from both *** samples were collected for hepatotoxicity and 17?-estradiol(E_(2))*** in vitro studies,the extract effects on uterine contraction at half maximum effective concentration of 2.50 mg/mL were studied in organ bath system for at least 20 ***:Uterine parameters were significantly decreased after treated with extract of *** L.(P<0.05).*** *** significantly accelerated the reduction of those parameters and significantly decreased E_(2)(P<0.05).The extract facilitated uterine involution with no *** *** significantly stimulated uterine contraction(P<0.05)and synergized with oxytocin,prostaglandin and its precursor,linoleic *** investigating the different sequencing of the extract with the additional stimulants(added before or after),the two showed antagonistic effects,but still showed potentiated force when compared with control(without the stimulants).Conclusions:The underlying mechanisms by which *** *** uterine involution might be due to reducing E_(2)which induces collagenase activity,leading to decreases in uterine weight and size and stimulating uterine *** study provides new findings for future drug development for facilitating uterine involution with *** L.

Although logistic regression is the most popular for modelling regression relationships with binary responses,many find relative risk(RR),or risk ratio,easier to interpret and prefer to use this measure of risk in regression ***,since Zou published his modified Poisson regression approach for modelling RR for cross-sectional data,his paper has been cited over 7000 times,demonstrating the popularity of this alternative measure of risk in regression analysis involving binary *** longitudinal studies have become increasingly popular in clinical trials and observational studies,it is imperative to extend Zou’s approach for longitudinal *** two most popular approaches for longitudinal data analysis are the generalised linear mixed-effects model(GLMM)and generalised estimating equations(GEE).However,the parametric GLMM cannot be used for the extension within the current context,because Zou’s approach treats the binary response as a Poisson variable,which is at odds with the Bernoulli distribution for the binary *** the other hand,as it imposes no mathematical model on data distributions,the semiparametric GEE is coherent with Zou’s modified Poisson *** this paper,we develop a GEE-based longitudinal model for binary responses to provide inference about RR.

Epitaxial diamond films on non-mirror polished silicon substrate was achieved using hot filament chemical vapor deposition method with one flat horizontal *** orientation relationship of epitaxial diamond films on silicon substrate has been investigated by cross-sectional high-resolution transmission electron microscopy We found one excellent epitaxial configuration and according to the experimental result we suggest a corresponding *** lattice misfit is only 0.1-2.8% related to our model and the analysis of 60° type interface dislocation also supports this model.

Let YI be the Cartan-Hartogs domain of the first type. We give the generating function of the Einstein-Kahler metrics on YI, the holomorphic sectional curvature of the invariant Einstein-Kahler metrics on YI. The comparison theorem of complete Einstein-Kahler metric and Kobayashi metric on YI is provided for some cases. For the non-homogeneous domain YI, when K = mn+1/m+n, m ＞ 1, the explicit forms of the complete Einstein-Kahler metrics are obtained.
