In this study the potential of cloud point extraction formed by a non-ionic surfactant was used in order to separate polyphenols from industrial residues of camu-camu. The effects of operational conditions of the cloud point extraction(CPE) on the polyphenol recovery and volumetric ratio were investigated. The results showed a maximum recovery of 95.71% that was obtained using 7.0 wt% Triton X-114, native pH(3.25), and 80 wt%polyphenol extract at 30 °C. The use of cloud point extraction was successful to recover the polyphenols from agroindustrial residue since it is a simple as well as of low-cost technique.

Purpose: The measurement of heart rate variability (HRV) is a non-invasive method to analyze the balance of the autonomic nervous system. The aim of this study was to compare the changes of HRV and base deficit (BD) during the treatment of trauma patients. Methods: Forty-three trauma patients with a low injury severity scores (ISS pointed’ group (n =13), patients' BDs instantly cleared after primary hydration;‘needs further resuscitation’ group (n=21), patients' BDs did not reach the end point and thus required further hydration or packed red blood cells transfusion;and ‘hydration minimal change’ group (n=9), patients' BDs lower than 2.5 mmol/L at the onset of admission and thereafter had minimal change (near normal range). The changes in HRV during fluid resuscitation were detected and compared to BD changes in their arterial blood gases. All data were analysed using the SPSS software Version 15.0. Repeated measures ANOVA was used to determine the changes in HRV, heart rate, blood pressure, and BD among groups. Results: A significant reverse correlation was found between the BD ratio and the HRV ratio (r=0.562;p= 0.01). The HRV of patients with aggravated BDs after fluid resuscitation was decreased. There was an increase in HRV at the time of BD clearance. A decrease in HRV after primary crystalloid hydration bore a significant connection with the need for an ICU (p = 0.021) and transfusion of packed red blood cells (p point of resuscitation in trauma patients.

We study systematically the evolutive behaviors of some energy ratios,E2 transition rate ratios and isomer shift in the nuclear shape phase transitions.We find that the quantities sensitive to the phase transition and independent of free parameter(s) are approximately particle number N scale invariant around the critical point of the first order phase transition,similar to that in the second order phase transition.

Using the Embedding Atom Method(EAM)for highly undercooled Ni3Al alloy,the melting point and the specific heat were studied by a molecular dynamics simula-tion.The simulation of melting point was carried out by means of the sandwich method and the NVE ensemble method,and the results show a good agreement,whereas are larger than the experimental value of 1663 K.This difference is attrib-uted to the influence of surface melting on experimental results,which causes the smaller measurements compared with the thermodynamic melting point.The simulated specific heat of Ni3Al alloy weakly and linearly increases with the in-crease of undercooling in the temperature range from 800 K to 2000 K.

A modified mixed/hybrid finite element method, which is no longer required to satisfy the Babuska-Brezzi condition, is referred to as a stabilized method Based on the duality of vanational principles in solid mechanics, a new type of stabilized method, called the combinatorially stabilized mixed/hybrid finite element method, is presented by weight-averaging both the primal and the dual "saddle-point" schemes. Through a general analysis of stability and convergence under an abstract framework, it is shown that for the methods only an inf-sup inequality much weaker than Babuska-Brezzi condition needs to be satisfied. As a concrete application, it is concluded that the combinatorially stabilized Raviart and Thomas mixed methods permit the C -elements to replace the H(div; Ω)-elements.

Based on the neutron and proton degrees of freedom, low-lying energy levels, E2, M1, and E0 transition strengths of nucleus ^(124)Te have been calculated by the neutron-proton interacting boson model. The calculated results are reasonably consistent with the experimental data. By comparing the key observables of the states at the critical point of U_(πv)(5)-O_(πv)(6) transition with the experimental data and calculated results, we show that the ^(124)Te is a possible nucleus at the critical point of the second-order phase transition from vibration to unstable rotation, and such a critical point exhibits slight triaxial rotation. The 0_2^+ state of ^(124)Te can be interpreted as the lowest state of the first-excited family of the intrinsic levels in the critical point symmetry.
