A Pd（II）-catalyzed oxidative cyclization of olefinic tosylamides was developed for the preparation of aryl-fused and N-containing six-membered heterocycles. Under optimized conditions the reaction proceeded with high activity and selectivity, with yields of up to 83% being obtained. This procedure provides a facile and efficient route to the aforementioned heterocycles with 2-acetoxy functionality.

Metal-free Synthesis of Polycarbonyl Pyrroles via K2S2O8-Mediated oxidative cyclization of Enamines

Furans are a ubiquitous structural motif in numerous naturally occurring products,[1] synthetic pharmaceuticals,[2] agrochemicals,and also useful building blocks in organic synthesis.[3] Herein,we propose a copper-mediated [2+3] oxidative cyclization to synthesize 2,3,5-trisubstituted furans from N-tosylhydrazones and β-*** process is thought to construct C-C and C-O bonds through the oxidative cyclization of vinyl copper species and β-ketoesters free radical intermediates.[4] To the best of our knowledge,this is the first attempt utilizing N-tosylhydrazones compounds as building blocks to synthesize *** studies provide important complementary approaches for synthesizing substituted furans.

Polysubstituted pyrroles are an important class of five-membered heterocycles existed in numerous natural products and bioactive ***,carbonyl groups in these molecules are key moieties which are closely related to their biological *** a variety of enamines successfully converted to carbonyl pyrroles,problems associated with these methods,such as stoichiometric use of expensive hypervalent iodine reagents and transition metals,narrow scope of substrates,and harsh reaction conditions inhibited their further ***,the practical synthesis of polycarbonyl pyrroles still of great significance,especially less-studied tetracarbonyl ***,a KSO-promoted radical oxidative cyclization of enamines has been described.A variety of enamines bearing diverse functional groups and substitution patterns react well using KSO as the oxidant without addition of any external *** protocol provides a very simple route to polycarbonyl pyrroles with advantages including readily available starting materials,mild reaction conditions and wide substrates scope.

We report herein an I2/Ph I(OAc)2catalytic system for the pragmatic construction of C–N bonds through C–H/N–H oxidative coupling *** pyrrolo[2,3-b]indoles were efficiently prepared via I2-catalyzed intramolecular C–H amination reactions from(E/Z)-2-indolylenamines under metal-free *** functional groups are tolerated under mild reaction conditions and the resulting pyrrolo[2,3-b]indoles were obtained with mostly good to excellent *** was interesting to observe that both the(E)-and(Z)-isomers of the starting materials were efficiently transformed into the targeted *** I+-mediated catalytic cycle was proposed based on mechanistic studies for this reaction.

A novel large thiophene-fused polycyclic aromatics 1 based on pyrene 5 has been synthesized, and its structure was confirmed by ^1H NMR, ^13C NMR, MS, UV-vis and elemental analysis. The key steps of the synthesis involved the Stille cross-coupling reaction and followed by selective β-β oxidative cyclization of pendant thienyl rings by FeCl3 under mild conditions.
