Objective:This study aimed to investigate whether perceived stress mediated the relationship between hope and anxiety/depression symptoms among patients with COVID-19 during the *** addition,the potential moderating effect of coping styles was ***:From February 26 to March 10,2020,patients with COVID-19 were asked to complete a questionnaire online,which included demographic characteristics,as well as the SCL-90-Anxiety,SCL-90-Depression,Chinese Perceived Stress Scale(CPSS),Herth hope Index(HHI),and Trait Coping Style Questionnaire(TCSQ).Hierarchical linear regression was performed to explore independent factors of anxiety/depression.A multi-group structural equation modeling with the collected data from patients in the Negative Coping style(NC)group and Positive Coping style(PC)group was used to test the hypothesized ***:In total,382 valid questionnaires of patients were obtained,including 96 from NC patients and 286 from PC *** the hierarchical linear regression,hope and perceived stress were independent risk factors for both anxiety and depression in the total sample and PC ***,hope was not independently related to anxiety/depression in the NC *** hypothesized,the hope of patients had significant and negative indirect effects on both anxiety and depression that were mediated by perceived stress,However,the direct effect from stress on anxiety and depression was stronger for NC patients than for PC ***,hope had significant direct effects on anxiety/depression in PC patients,but not in NC ***:During the COVID-19 epidemic,perceived stress could mediate the relationship between hope and anxiety/depression symptoms among COVID-19 patients,with coping style moderating this cultivation process.

Academic procrastination among adolescents is an increasingly prominent problem. It is important to look forinfluences behind academic procrastination in the adolescent population. The present study aimed to revealthe explanatory mechanisms underlying the association between hope and academic procrastination behaviorsamong Chinese adolescents by testing the mediating role of attentional control and the moderating role of traitmindfulness. Participants in the current study were 1156 Chinese adolescents who completed self-report questionnaireson hope, attentional control, academic procrastination, and trait mindfulness. The results indicatedthat adolescent hope was negatively related to academic procrastination and that attentional control partiallymediated this association. In addition, trait mindfulness moderated the direct association between hope and academicprocrastination in the mediated model. In conclusion, identifying the mechanisms by which hope is associatedwith academic procrastination in adolescent populations is of potential value for the prevention of andintervention in this undesirable study habit.

Background:The level of self-care of hemodialysis patients is important in controlling the disease process and *** care has an important place in the process of resolving existing or developing problems of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment and in adapting to *** is not only a resource that encourages religious/spiritual coping,it is also a spirituality that strengthens ***:The objective of this study is to determine whether prayer has an effect on self-care agency and hope in hemodialysis *** and Methods:This is a descriptive and correlational study which was conducted with 180 patients in a private and a public dialysis *** data of 173 hemodialysis patients who met the inclusion criteria were collected using personal information form,Herth hope Scale,Self-care Agency Scale,and Prayer Attitude ***:A positive,moderate,and statistically significant correlation was found between the Prayer Attitude Scale and total score(r=0.144,P=0.048)and sub-scale future(r=0.350,P=0.000)of Herth hope *** there was positive correlation between the Prayer Attitude Scale and the total score of Self-care Agency Scale(r=0.599,P=0.000)and its five sub-dimensions drug use(r=0.566,P=0.000),diet(r=0.619,P=0.000),self-monitoring(r=0.522,P=0.000),hygienic care(r=0.576,P=0.000)and mental status(r=0.328,P=0.000).Conclusions:The study found that prayer had a positive effect on self-care agency and hope in hemodialysis patients.

It has been confirmed in previous studies that there is a positive correlation between physical activity and *** this study,rural left-behind children in China was taken as the participants to investigate the impact of physical activity on hope in rural left-behind children and examine the mediating role of perceived social support in the relationship between physical activity and hope.797 valid copies of the questionnaire were collected from *** correlation coefficient was employed to analyze the relationship between physical activity and hope;SEM and Bootstrap were used to test the mediating effect of perceived social *** results show that physical activity can not only directly and positively predict the level of hope in rural leftbehind children but can also predict the level of hope through perceived social support;perceived social support plays a mediating role in the relationship between physical activity and *** results highlight the necessity to pay more attention to the physical activity of left-behind children and the possibility to improve the level of hope by increasing their physical activity;at the same time,the acquisition of more material,emotional and psychological support from teachers and guardians is more conducive to improving the sense of hope in left-behind *** findings can deepen the understanding of the sense of hope in left-behind children,and provide new methods for and enlightenments on improving the level of hope in left-behind children.

Objective:Since nursing is a performance-based profession,clinical learning environments play an important role in the acquisition of professional abilities and train nursing students to enter the nursing profession and become a registered *** study aimed to investigate the relations among professional identity,wellness,and future hope in nurse ***:A cross-sectional,analytic,descriptive,correlational study design was used to test these relations in the study where 210 nurse interns’students were selected using a convenience sampling from Zagazig University hospitals and Suez Canal University hospitals in *** questionnaires consisted of 4 parts,namely demographic characteristics,Professional Identity Scale for Nursing Students(PISNS),Holistic Health and Wellness Survey,and hope ***:Less than half of the study sample had chosen nursing specialty by own will(43.8%),while slightly more than half of them had a"very good"graduation level,and had no nursing role *** lowest mean professional identity score was for independence in career choice while the highest was for social *** repor ted physical wellness mean-score was the least,while social wellness was the *** identity,wellness,and future hope scores differed significantly based on nurse interns’personal *** were statistically significant,positive,weak-to-moderate correlations among the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future hope;however,the"choice of nursing study by own will"was a statistically significant independent positive predictor of the scores of professional identity,wellness,and future ***:Nurse interns’professional identity,wellness,and future hope were positively ***,nurse interns’wellness was the lowest,and it should be fostered as it was the main predictor for future *** internship programs should be modulated to improve nurse interns’professional identity,par ticularly

Purpose:This study examined the correlation between social relational quality and hope among patients with permanent ***:Eighty-six eligible patients with permanent colostomies were recruited from a Class A tertiary hospital from July to December 2012.A self-designed demographic questionnaire,the Social Relational Quality Scale(SRQS),and the Herth hope Index(HHI)were administered to all ***:The total social relationship quality and hope scores were 49.42±4.98 and 38.52±4.64,*** total scale score and composing subscale scores for social relationship quality and hope showed a statistically significant positive correlation with each other(r?0.324e0.680;phope among patients with permanent *** finding suggests that such patients should be given hope and that their families should be encouraged to provide more support for better acceptance and adjustment.
