Spectroscopy is the basic tool for studying molecular physics and realizing biochemical ***,it is challenging to realize sub-femtometer resolution spectroscopy over broad *** and high-resolution spectroscopy with calibrated optical frequency is demonstrated by bridging the fields of speckle pattern and electro-optic frequency comb.A wavemeter based on a whispering-gallery-mode barcode is proposed to link the frequencies of a probe continuous-wave laser and an ultrastable *** ultrafine electro-optic comb lines are generated from the probe laser to record spectrum of sample with sub-femtometer *** bandwidth is a thousandfold broader than comb bandwidth,by sequentially tuning the probe laser while its wavelength is *** approach fully exploits the advantages of two fields to realize 0.8-fm resolution with a fiber laser and 80-nm bandwidth with an external cavity diode *** spectroscopic measurements of an ultrahigh Q-factor cavity and gas molecular absorption are experimentally *** compact system,predominantly constituted by few-gigahertz electronics and telecommunication components,shows enormous potential for practical spectroscopic applications.

In this paper,we report the frequency comb response experimentally and analytically in a rhombic micro-resonator with parametrical *** the electrostatically actuated rhombic micro-resonator is modulated axially by a low-frequency periodic excitation,a comb-like vibration response with few equidistant positioned fingers in the frequency domain is *** finger spacing of frequency comb response is exactly consistent with modulation frequency and the number and amplitude of the fingers can be tuned by modulation strength.A mixed frequency comb with extra comb fingers is further generated when the resonator is modulated simultaneously by two different low-frequency excitation *** adjusting the relation of the two modulation frequencies,unequal spacing frequency combs are achieved for the first time,which leads to a more flexible tunability of the comb spacing for different *** analysis based on the dynamic model well explains the corresponding observations.

frequency-comb emission via high-order harmonic generation(HHG)provides an alternative method for the coherent vacuum ultraviolet(VUV)and extreme ultraviolet(XUV)radiation at ultrahigh repetition *** particular,the temporal and spectral features of the HHG were shown to carry profound insight into frequency-comb emission *** we present an ab initio investigation of the temporal and spectral coherence of the frequency comb emitted in HHG of He atom driven by few-cycle pulse *** find that the emission of frequency combs features a destructive and constructive coherences caused by the phase interference of HHG,leading to suppression and enhancement of frequency-comb *** results reveal intriguing and substantially different nonlinear optical response behaviors for frequency-comb emission via *** dynamical origin of frequency-comb emission is clarified by analyzing the phase coherence in HHG processes in *** results provide fresh insight into the experimental realization of selective enhancement of frequency comb in the VUV–XUV regimes.

For the applications of the frequency comb in microresonators,it is essential to obtain a fully frequency-stabilized microcomb laser *** this study,we present a system for generating a fully atom-referenced stabilized soliton *** pump light around 1560.48 nm is locked to an ultra-low-expansion(ULE)*** pump light is then frequency-doubled and referenced to the atomic transition *** repetition rate of the soliton microcomb is injection-locked to an atomic-clockstabilized radio frequency(RF)source,leading to mHz stabilization at 1 *** a result,all comb lines have been frequencystabilized based on the atomic reference and the ULE cavity,achieving a very high precision of approximately 18 Hz at 1 s,corresponding to the frequency stability of 9.5×10^(-14).Our approach provides a fully stabilized microcomb experiment scheme with no requirement of f-2f technique,which could be easily implemented and generalized to various photonic platforms,thus paving the way towards the ultraprecise optical sources for high precision spectroscopy.

Advances in laser spectroscopy have enabled many scientific breakthroughs in physics, chemistry,biology, and astronomy. Optical frequency combs pushed measurement limits with ultrahigh-frequency accuracy and fast-measurement speed, while tunable-diode-laser spectroscopy is used in scenarios that require high power and continuous spectral coverage. Despite these advantages of tunable-diode-laser spectroscopy, it is challenging to precisely determine the instantaneous laser frequency because of fluctuations in the scan speed. Here, we demonstrate a simple spectroscopy scheme with a frequencymodulated diode laser that references the laser on-the-fly to a fiber cavity. The fiber cavity's free spectral range is on-the-fly calibrated with sub-10-Hz frequency precision. We achieve a relative precision of the laser frequency of 2 × 10-8for an 11-THz frequency range at a measurement speed of 1 THz∕s. This is an improvement of more than 2 orders of magnitude compared to existing diode-laser-spectroscopy *** scheme provides precise frequency calibration markers, while simultaneously tracking the instantaneous scan speed of the laser. We demonstrate the versatility of our method through various applications, including dispersion measurement of a fiber, ultrahigh-Q microresonators, and spectroscopy of a hydrogen fluoride gas cell. The simplicity, robustness, and low cost of this spectroscopy scheme are valuable for out-of-the-lab applications like lidar and environmental monitoring.

One of the most important multipartite entangled states,Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state(GHZ),serves as a fundamental resource for quantum foundat ion test,quantum communication and quantum *** increase the number of entangled particles,significant experimental efforts should been invested due to the complexity of optical setup and the difficulty in maintaining the coherence condition for high-fidelity GHZ ***,we propose an ultra-integrated scalable on-chip GHZ state generation scheme based on frequency *** designing several microrings pumped by different lasers,multiple partially overlapped quantum frequency combs are generated to supply as the basis for on-chip polarization-encoded GHZ state with each qubit occupying a certain spectral *** even and odd numbers of GHZ states can be engineered with constant small number of integrated components and easily scaled up on the same chip by only adjusting one of the pumnp *** addition,we give the on-chip design of projection measurement for characterizing GHZ states and show the reconfigurability of the *** proposal is rather simple and feasible within the existing fabrication technologies and we believe it will boost the development of multiphoton technologies.

The nonlinear modal coupling in a T-shaped piezoelectric resonator,when the former two natural frequencies are away from 1:2,is *** sweeping up the exciting frequency shows that the horizontal beam exhibits a nonlinear hardening *** first primary resonance of the vertical beam,owing to modal coupling,exhibits an abrupt amplitude increase,namely the Hopf *** frequency comb phenomenon induced by modal coupling is measured experimentally.A Duffing-Mathieu coupled model is theoretically introduced to derive the conditions of the modal coupling and frequency comb *** results demonstrate that the modal coupling results from nonlinear stiffness hardening and is strictly dependent on the loading range and sweeping form of the driving voltage and the frequency of the piezoelectric patches.

We investigate the dispersion properties ofnanometer-scaled silicon nitride suspended membrane wave- guides around the communication wavelength and systematically study their relationship with the key structural parameters of the waveguide. The simulation results show that a suspended membrane waveguide can realize anomalous dispersion with a relatively thinner silicon nitride thickness in the range of 400 to 600 nm, whereas, for the same membrane thickness, a conventional rib or strip silicon nitride waveguide cannot support anomalous dispersion. In particular, a waveguide with 400 nm silicon nitride thickness and deep etch depth （r = 0.05） exhibits anomalous dispersion around the communication wavelength when the waveguide width ranges from 990 to 1255 nm, and the maximum dispersion is 22.56 ps/（***）. This specially designed anomalous dispersion silicon nitride waveguide is highly desirable for micro-resonator based optical frequency combs due to its potential to meet the phase-matching condition required for cascaded four-wave-mixing.
