Although the manufacturing industry has improved the quality of processing,optimization and upgrading must be performed to meet the requirements of global sustainable development.Sustainable production is considered to be a favorable strategy for achieving machining upgrades characterized by high quality,high efficiency,energy savings,and emission reduction.Sustainable production has aroused widespread interest,but only a few scholars have studied the sustainability of machining from multiple dimensions.The sustainability of machining must be investigated multidimensionally and accurately.Thus,this study explores the sustainability of machining from the aspects of equipment,process,and strategy.In particular,the equipment,process,and strategy of sustainable machining are systematically analyzed and integrated into a research framework.Then,this study analyzes sustainable machining-oriented machining equipment from the aspects of machine tools,cutting tools,and materials such as cutting fluid.Machining processes are explored as important links of sustainable machining from the aspects of dry cutting,microlubrication,microcutting,low-temperature cutting,and multidirectional cutting.The strategies for sustainable machining are also analyzed from the aspects of energy-saving control,machining simulation,and process optimization of machine tools.Finally,opportunities and challenges,including policies and regulations toward sustainable machining,are discussed.This study is expected to offer prospects for sustainable machining development and strategies for implementing sustainable machining.

Research on the Design Method of equipment in Service Assessment Subjects

Combined with equipment activities such as combat readiness,training, exercises and management, it is proposed that the design of equipment in-service assessment subjects should follow the principles of combination, stage and operability. Focusing on the design of equipment in-serviceassessment subjects, a design method for in-service assessment subjects basedon the combination of trial and training mode is proposed. Based on theactual use of high-equipment use management and training and the established indicator system, the army’s bottom-level equipment activity subjectsand bottom-level assessments are combined. The indicators are mapped andanalyzed. Through multiple rounds of iterations, the mapping relationshipbetween in-service assessment indicators and military equipment activitysubjects is established. Finally, the equipment activity subjects whose data iscollected (reflecting the underlying assessment indicators) are generated inservice assessment subjects. The orthogonal test method is used to optimizethe samples in the assessment subjects to form an in-service assessmentimplementation plan. Taking a certain type of armored infantry fightingvehicle as an example, the sample optimization design of the initially generatedin-service assessment subjects is analyzed. It provides methods and ideas tocarry out in-service assessment work.

Effects of Network Closure on Cooperative Innovation: Evidence from Dongying's Petroleum equipment Industry in China

There are two opposing viewpoints on which kind of network configuration provides a more competitive advantage, namely,network closure or structural holes, with the latter occupying the dominant position in the literature. Using social network analysis and negative binomial regression methods, we graph the co-patent network of Dongying's petroleum equipment industry in China and explore its impact on enterprise innovation. The analysis is based on 17 face-to-face interviews, 31 enterprise questionnaires, and 354 co-patent records from the China State Intellectual Property Office identifying cooperative innovation for the years 1988–2013. We find that this network is closed, controlled by state-owned enterprises, and its closure has positive effects on enterprise innovation performance. This may be related to China's unique industrial development history, state system and policies, regional culture and circumstances, and enterprise characteristics. Therefore, for some industries in specific regions, the advantages usually attributed to structural holes and open innovation may not necessarily apply.

Spatial Organization of Innovation in the Oil equipment Manufacturing Industry: Case of Dongying, China

As innovation and technological change have become increasingly important for the competitiveness and sustainable growth of firms,cooperative innovation is now crucial for traditional industries in the context of globalization.This paper proposes a framework for analyzing the spatial pattern of cooperative innovation for traditional industries in developing countries.Based on in-depth interviews with 35 firms in the oil equipment manufacturing industry in Dongying City,China,this study argues that different firms in the innovation pyramid have various innovation activity preferences and spatial patterns.Firms with high innovation abilities tend to cooperate with various partners that are geographically dispersed and continuously expanding,while firms with inferior abilities usually cooperate with nearby fixed partners.Due to the differences in innovation environment and actor locations,firms tend to make different choices regarding innovation types and models,which highlight the importance of personnel training and basic scientific research at the global scale and practical product research and development at the national scale.Additionally,talent flow is the most important way to realize relationships for firm innovation activity.

Development and experimental study of a miniature vapor compression refrigeration equipment

A miniature vapor compression refrigeration equipment prototype was developed for a range of microclimate control applications, including man portable cooling and distributed space conditioning. The miniature refrigeration equipment has dimensions of 260 mm × 250 mm × 120 mm, and weighs approximately 2.85 kg. The optimal motor and its transmission ratio, the optimal dimension of capillary tube and the optimal quantity of refrigerant charge were obtained by matching and operating performance experimental study. Experimental results show that the miniature refrigeration equipment can provide 300 W cooling, and its COPc is above 2.0.

Digital monitoring for heavy duty mechanical equipment based on fiber Bragg grating sensor

The digital monitoring principle and technologies for heavy duty mechanical equipment based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) technology are introduced in this paper. The fundamentals of new-style FBG sensing technology, including the photorefractive effect of FBG, the physical formation, and the relation between optical properties and grating parameters, are investigated. The plaster, encapsulation and distribution planning of FBG sensor (FBGS), which is used to monitor heavy duty mechanical equipment under abominable environment and extreme conditions, are also studied. In addition, theoretical and experimental researches on the strain, temperature, displacement, and stress transmission characteristics between FBGS and detection interface are presented. The principle and method for temperature compensation in non-uniformity temperature field are described in detail as well. Comparing with the traditional sensing monitoring techniques, the application of FBGS technology on digital monitoring and diagnosis for heavy duty mechanical equipment has a number of significant technical advantages and will make a new breakthrough in this field.

Two-Factor Fuzzy Time Series for equipment Data Prediction

The data forecasting of plant equipment plays an important role in assurance of the safe and reliable operation of the plant equipment. Thus, it is necessary to improve the accuracy of data forecasting of the equipment. A new two-factor fuzzy time series algorithm is proposed to forecast the data of the plant equipment.This method not only overcomes the limitations of one factor fuzzy time series algorithm, but also overcomes the drawbacks of traditional two-factor fuzzy time series algorithm. The collected data is used in the power plant to conduct experiments, where the metrics is Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE). The results show that this method is superior to the existing two-factor fuzzy time series algorithms, and yields good results in the equipment prediction.

Feature Recognition and Selection Method of the equipment State Based on Improved Mahalanobis-Taguchi System

Mahalanobis-Taguchi system(MTS)is a kind of data mining and pattern recognition method which can identify the attribute characteristics of multidimensional data by constructing Mahalanobis distance(MD)measurement scale.In this paper,considering the influence of irregular distribution of the sample data and abnormal variation of the normal data on accuracy of MTS,a feature recognition and selection model of the equipment state based on the improved MTS is proposed,and two aspects of the model namely construction of the original Mahalanobis space(MS)and determination of the threshold are studied.Firstly,the original training sample space is statistically controlled by the X-bar-S control chart,and extreme data of the single characteristic attribute is filtered to reduce the impact of extreme condition on the accuracy of the model,so as to construct a more robust MS.Furthermore,the box plot method is used to determine the threshold of the model.And the stability of the model and the tolerance to the extreme condition are improved by leaving sufficient range of the variation for the extreme condition which is identified as in the normal range.Finally,the improved model is compared with the traditional one based on the unimproved MTS by using the data from the literature.The result shows that compared with the traditional model,the accuracy and sensitivity of the improved model for state identification can be greatly enhanced.
