Zika virus(ZIKV) is a mosquito-borne virus of the Spondweni group that belongs to the Flaviviridae family and genus Flavivirus. Microcephaly(small head size, decreased brain size, and poor neurocognitive development) was linked to ZIKV infection in Brazil in 2015. Outbreaks and indications of transmission have spread quickly over the Americas, Africa, and other parts of the globe.Over 80 nations and territories have documented symptoms of Zika infection spread by mosquitoes,including microcephaly and Guillain-Barre syndrome(GBS).

Wuxiang virus(WUXV),a new species of Phlebovirus from sandfly specimens(identified as Phlebotomus chinensis)collected in Wuxiang County,Shanxi Province,China,belongs to the order Bunyavirales,family Phenuiviridae.Like other Bunyavirales,WUXV contains a negative-sense tripartite RNA genome comprising a small(S),a medium(M),and a large(L)segment.The S segment encodes nucleocapsid protein(NP)and a nonstructural protein(NSP).The M segment encodes a glycoprotein precursor(Gp),which is cleaved into mature N and C glycoproteins.The L segment encodes an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp).

Background Capnocytophaga canimorsus(C.canimorsus)belongs to the family Flavobacteriaceae.It is a facultative anaerobic Gram-negative bacillus and belongs to the normal oral microbiota of some mammals,such as cats and dogs.Transmission to humans can occur through the skin after skin abrasion caused by a scratch or a bite.[1]Based on polymerase chain reaction(PCR)analysis,C.canimorsus is present in saliva in 70%-74%of dogs and 55%-57%of cats.

Folic acid belongs to the group of water-soluble B vitamins and naturally exists in multiple forms in a wide variety of foods such as legumes,vegetables,liver,and milk(Iyer and Tomar,2009;Lyon et al.,2020).It is involved in many biochemical reactions critical for cell division,such as purine and pyrimidine biosynthesis,DNA/RNA biosynthesis,and amino acid metabolism(Iyer and Tomar,2009).Mammals cannot synthesize folic acid and thus they must acquire it from food.Although folic acid is ubiquitous in foods.

Enteroviruses (EVs) are members of the genus Enteroviruswithin the orderPicornavirales, family Picornaviridae, and consist of 12 species, including EV-A, EV-B, EV-C, and EV-D, which are associated with human infections. Coxsackievirus B6 (CV-B6)belongs to the species EV-B, which currently consists of 63 serotypes, including echovirus (serotypes 1–7,9, 11–21, 24–27, 29–33), coxsackievirus group A (CVA9), coxsackievirus group B (CV-B, serotypes 1–6),the newly identified EVs (serotypes EV-B69, B73–75,B77–88, B93, B97–98, B100–101, B106–107, and B110–113), and the simian enterovirus SA5.
