Molecular structure of imidazolate bridged binuclear zinc complex and its single crystal ESR spectra doped with bridged Cu—zn complex

The X-ray crystal structure of [(dtma)znImzn(dtma)]ClO_4·2.5H_2O (Hdtma=4-Diethyl- enetriamineacetic acid) was determined.The crystal is of orthorhombic,space group Pbcn with a- 14.104(5),b=14.897(5),c=25.384(9),and Z=8.The least-square refinement of the structure leads to conventional R factor of 0.066.The magnetic properties of [(dtma)Culmzn(dtma)]CIO_4·2.5H_2O were investigated.From the single crystal ESR spectra of zn—Im—zn dimer doped with Cu—Im—zn complex,the anisotropic g and A tensors and electronic spin-density of the Cu—zn complex are obtained and the bonding nature of Cu is discussed.

Hydroxamic acid ligand usually coordinates to metal ions to form stable five membered or six membered chelate ring though its N,O atoms.[1]We chose 1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-hydroxamic acid（H3L）as the ligand,and successfully obtained a colorless dinuclear zinc complex[zn（H2L）（DMF）3（NO3）]2·H2O.The crystal structure was characterized by X-ray single crystal diffactometor and was shown in Fig.1.It crystallizes in triclinic space group P-1 and consists of two zn2+ions,two H2L-ligands and six coordinated DMF molecules.Two zn2+ions are bridged through two pairs of N–N groups to form a bimetallic six-membered ring[zn1–N2–N1–zn1′–N2′–N1′].Each tridentate H2L-ligand chelates and bridges two metal centers to show two five-membered and one six-membered rings in the equatorial plane.[2]Thus,these multiple rings enforce structural stability.Each zn2+ion exhibits six-coordinate,octahedral geometry with N4O2 donor sets from two H2L-ligands and six DMF molecules.The presence of weak intermolecular interactions N3-H3...N4 and N2-H2C...O6 of the complex result in a two-dimensional network structure as shown in fig.2.The biologic activity of the complex is under study.

Ring-opening Copolymerization of ε-Caprolactone and δ-Valerolactone Catalyzed by a 2,6-Bis(amino)phenol Zinc complex

In combination with methyllithium,a 2,6-bis(amino)phenol zinc complex 1 was used in the ring-opening polymerization ofδ-valerolactone in the absence or presence of benzyl alcohol and showed high efficiency,mainly producing cyclic and linear polyvalerolactones,respectively.On the basis of homopolymerization,the ring-opening copolymerization ofε-caprolactone andδ-valerolactone was investigated.The P(CL-co-VL)random copolymers,PCL-b-PVL and PVL-b-PCL diblock copolymers,were prepared by varying the feeding strategy(premixing or sequential feeding).The copolymer composition was adjusted by varying the feeding ratio of two monomers.The structure and thermal properties of obtained polymers were characterized by GPC,1 H-NMR,13 C-NMR,MALDI-TOF mass spectroscopy,and DSC,respectively.
