Research of web-based Workflow Management System

The state of the art of workflow management techniques in research is introduced. The research and development trends of Workflow Management System (WFMS) are presented. On basis of analysis and comparison of kinds of WFMSs, a WFMS based on web technology and distributed object management is proposed. Finally, the application of the WFMS in supply chain management is described in detail.

LionRank: lion algorithm-based metasearch engines for re-ranking of webpages

Due to the rapid growth of the web, the process of collecting the relevant web pages based on the user query is one of the major challenging tasks in recent days. Hence, it is very complicated for the users to know the most relevant information even though various search engines are widely employed. To deal with users' trouble in identifying the relevant information from the web, we have proposed a meta-lion search engine to capture and analyze the ranking scores of various search engines and thereby, generate the re-ranked score results. Accordingly, LionRank, a lion algorithm-based meta-search engine is proposed for the re-ranking of the web pages. Here, different features like text based, factor based, rank based and classifier based features are used by the underlying search engines. In classifier based feature extraction,we have used the fuzzy integrated extended nearest neighbor(FENN) classifier to include the semantics in feature extraction. Moreover, an intelligent re-ranking process is proposed based on the lion algorithm to fuse the features scores optimally. Finally, the results of the proposed LionRank is analyzed with the web page database collected through four benchmark queries, and the quantitative performance are analyzed using precision, recall, and F-score. From the results, we proved that the proposed LionRank obtained the maximum F-score of 81% as compared with that of existing search engines like QuadRank, Outrank, Google,Yahoo, and Bing.

Pressure induced stability: from pneumatic structures to Tensairity~

Structural stabilization by a pressurized fluid is very common in nature, however hardly found in technology. Car tires, hot air balloons, airships and airhouses are among the few technical exceptions, which are stabilized by a compressed medium, typically air. Restricted by simple geometries and a very limited load bearing capacity these pneumatic structures could succeed only in very specialized applications. Nevertheless, prospective concepts ag has systematically investigated pneumatic structures during the last few years. As a major result, it was demonstrated that almost any shape can be made with pneumatic structures and that astonishing structures such as the pneumatic airplane Stingray can be realized even with low air pressure. On top of that, Airlight Ltd. in close collaboration with prospective concepts ag has recently developed the fundamental new structural concept Tensairity. The synergetic combination of an inflated structure with conventional structural elements such as cables and struts yields pneumatic light-weight structures with the load bearing capacity of steel girders. Thus, complex forms and high strength open up many new opportunities for pressure induced stability in technology. An overview of these recent developments is presented and the close relationship of pneumatic structures with biology is outlined.

With the acknowledgement of species, symptoms and control measures for diseases, pests and weeds in tumorous stem mustard, the expert prevention system has been studied and developed based on internct, and the system mainly includes knowledge database, inference engine, browser web and so on. The knowledge database has been established by Micrsoft Access 2003 software; the procedure of inference engine has been compiled by JavaScript; the pages of browser web have been made by Dreamweaver MX software. Design and Implementation of Computer Network Traffic Monitoring

This paper focuses on the key technologies of P2P and network traffic monitoring, research and analyze the traditional P2P flow control technology and the working principle of deployment, discuss on the straight loss and bypass interference control technology, and the reasonable combination of two kinds of technology to design straight bypass joint deployment. On basis of it, we design a new P2P traffic monitoring system. Through the design and implementation of computer network traffic monitoring system based on C/S mode to achieve automatic control, maintenance, and monitor network traffic, which is suitable for the current engineering software to monitor a network application environment. From the network users and network operator＇ s perspective, monitoring of network traffic is scientific, reasonable that improve network management and it has important research value.
