A Bibliometric Analysis and Visualization of Current Research Trends in Chinese Medicine for Osteosarcoma

Background:To illustrate the research framework,overall knowledge structure,and development trends of Chinese medicine(CM)treatment for osteosarcoma(OS)by using a bibliometric analysis and newly developed Visualization tools.Methods:Research datasets were acquired from the Web of Science(WOS)database from January 1,1980 to September 30,2019.VOS viewer and Citespace software was used to analyze the data and generate Visualization knowledge maps.Annual trends of publications,distribution of institutes,distribution of journals,citation and H-index status,co-authorship status,research hotspots and co-citation status were analyzed.Results:A total of 223 publications in the WOS database met the requirement.The number of published articles showed a rise but the citation frequency and the H-index of China were relatively low.The cooperation between the countries,institutes and authors were relatively weak.Most publications were basic researches.Most of the previous researches focused on basic mechanisms of CM in treating OS,and therapy and improvement of dosage form may become a frontier in this research field.Conclusions:Compared with other fields,the field of CM treatment for osteosarcome is still in infancy.The distribution of researches is imbalanced and cooperation between countries,institutions and authors remains to be strengthened.Furthermore,basic research occupies an absolute dominant position,and the exploration of the molecular mechanism of CM in preventing and treating OS may become a key point in the future.

Visualization of MF/Diesel RCCI Combustion Process and Soot Emission

Based on the optical engine,the ignition characteristics,combustion process and soot emission characteristics of diesel under different 2-Methylfuran(MF) atmospheres were investigated by high-speed photography and in-cylinder combustion analysis technology.The results show that at the same main injection timing,the ignition time of reactivity controlled compression ignition(RCCI) combustion mode is earlier than pure diesel combustion,and the ignition point is concentrated near the nozzle.Diesel acts as a spark plug to ignite the mixture,but the flame develops slowly in the early stages and the pressure in the cylinder rises slowly.Compared with pure diesel,RCCI combustion model has smaller peak values of in-cylinder pressure and heat release rate,shorter ignition delay period,earlier combustion phase and shorter combustion duration.At main spray time at 6℃A BTDC and 12℃A BTDC,with the increase of MF premixing ratio from 0 to 0.75,the peak cylinder pressure decreased by 19.6% and 26% respectively.In addition,with the increase of the MF heat value ratio,the area of KL factor> 1.5 in the combustion chamber decreased and the space integral natural luminescence(SINL) peak value decreased by 48.37%,and the soot formation rate and yield decreased significantly.However,when the MF heat value ratio was too large(75% of the total calorific value),the ignition delay period increased,and misfire occurred at the main injection timing of 0℃A BTDC.The RCCI mode of MF/diesel dual fuel has better stability,and better control effect can be obtained at different main inj ection timing.

ezQTL:A Web Platform for Interactive Visualization and Colocalization of QTLs and GWAS Loci

Genome-wide association studies(GWAS)have identified thousands of genomic loci associated with complex diseases and traits,including cancer.The vast majority of common traitassociated variants identified via GWAS fall in non-coding regions of the genome,posing a challenge in elucidating the causal variants,genes,and mechanisms involved.Expression quantitative trait locus(eQTL)and other molecular QTL studies have been valuable resources in identifying candidate causal genes from GWAS loci through statistical colocalization methods.While QTL colocalization is becoming a standard analysis in post-GWAS investigation,an easy web tool for users to perform formal colocalization analyses with either user-provided or public GWAS and eQTL datasets has been lacking.Here,we present ezQTL,a web-based bioinformatic application to interactively visualize and analyze genetic association data such as GWAS loci and molecular QTLs under different linkage disequilibrium(LD)patterns(1000 Genomes Project,UK Biobank,or user-provided data).This application allows users to perform data quality control for variants matched between different datasets,LD Visualization,and two-trait colocalization analyses using two state-of-the-art methodologies(eCAVIAR and HyPrColoc),including batch processing.ezQTL is a free and publicly available cross-platform web tool,which can be accessed online at https://analysistools.***.gov/ezqtl.

Recent progress in Visualization and digitization of coherent transformation structures and application in high-strength steel

High-strength steels are mainly composed of medium-or low-temperature microstructures,such as bainite or martensite,with coherent transformation characteristics.This type of microstructure has a high density of dislocations and fine crystallographic structural units,which ease the coordinated matching of high strength,toughness,and plasticity.Meanwhile,given its excellent welding perform-ance,high-strength steel has been widely used in major engineering constructions,such as pipelines,ships,and bridges.However,visual-ization and digitization of the effective units of these coherent transformation structures using traditional methods(optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy)is difficult due to their complex morphology.Moreover,the establishment of quantitative relationships with macroscopic mechanical properties and key process parameters presents additional difficulty.This article reviews the latest progress in microstructural Visualization and digitization of high-strength steel,with a focus on the application of crystallographic methods in the development of high-strength steel plates and welding.We obtained the crystallographic data(Euler angle)of the transformed microstruc-tures through electron back-scattering diffraction and combined them with the calculation of inverse transformation from bainite or martensite to austenite to determine the reconstruction of high-temperature parent austenite and orientation relationship(OR)during con-tinuous cooling transformation.Furthermore,Visualization of crystallographic packets,blocks,and variants based on actual OR and digit-ization of various grain boundaries can be effectively completed to establish quantitative relationships with alloy composition and key process parameters,thereby providing reverse design guidance for the development of high-strength steel.

NORMA:The Network Makeup Artist—A Web Tool for Network Annotation Visualization

The Network Makeup Artist(NORMA) is a web tool for interactive network annotation Visualization and topological analysis, able to handle multiple networks and annotations simultaneously. Precalculated annotations(e.g., Gene Ontology, Pathway enrichment, community detection,or clustering results) can be uploaded and visualized in a network, either as colored pie-chart nodes or as color-filled areas in a 2D/3D Venn-diagram-like style. In the case where no annotation exists,algorithms for automated community detection are offered. Users can adjust the network views using standard layout algorithms or allow NORMA to slightly modify them for visually better group separation. Once a network view is set, users can interactively select and highlight any group of interest in order to generate publication-ready figures. Briefy, with NORMA, users can encode three types of information simultaneously. These are 1) the network, 2) the communities or annotations of interest, and 3) node categories or expression values. Finally, NORMA offers basic topological analysis and direct topological comparison across any of the selected networks. Visualization and early warning analysis of damage degree of surrounding rock mass in underground powerhouse

Based on the underground powerhouse of Shuangjiangkou hydropower station,Octree theory is adopted to define the indices of the microseismic(MS)spatial aggregation degree and the deviation values of MS count and energy.The relationship between the MS multiple parameters and surrounding rock mass instability is established from three aspects:time,space,and strength.Supplemented by the center frequency of the signal evolution characteristics,A fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and the evolution trend of the MS event center frequency are constructed to quantitatively describe the early warning state of the surrounding rock mass instability.The results show that the multilevel tree structure and voxels generated based on the Octree theory fit relatively well with the set of MS points in threedimensional space.The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model based on MS spatial aggregation and MS count and energy deviation values enables three-dimensional Visualization of the potential damage area and damage extent of the surrounding rock mass.The warning time and potential damage zone quantified are highly consistent with the characteristics of MS precursors,with wide recognition and field investigation results,which fully validate the rationality and applicability of the proposed method.These findings can provide references for the early warning of surrounding rock mass instability in similar underground engineering.

Efficacy of Bluetooth-Based Data Collection for Road Traffic Analysis and Visualization Using Big Data Analytics

Effective management of daily road traffic is a huge challenge for traffic personnel.Urban traffic management has come a long way from manual control to artificial intelligence techniques.Still real-time adaptive traffic control is an unfulfilled dream due to lack of low cost and easy to install traffic sensor with real-time communication capability.With increasing number of on-board Bluetooth devices in new generation automobiles,these devices can act as sensors to convey the traffic information indirectly.This paper presents the efficacy of road-side Bluetooth scanners for traffic data collection and big-data analytics to process the collected data to extract traffic parameters.Extracted information and analysis are presented through Visualizations and tables.All data analytics and Visualizations are carried out off-line in R Studio environment.Reliability aspects of the collected and processed data are also investigated.Higher speed of traffic in one direction owing to the geometry of the road is also established through data analysis.Increased penetration of smart phones and fitness bands in day to day use is also established through the device type of the data collected.The results of this work can be used for regular data collection compared to the traditional road surveys carried out annually or bi-annually.It is also found that compared to previous studies published in the literature,the device penetration rate and sample size found in this study are quite high and very encouraging.This is a novel work in literature,which would be quite useful for effective road traffic management in future.

Flow-Visualization and numerical investigation on the optimum design of cavitating jet nozzle

Cavitating jet is widely used in drilling,rock cutting and ocean re source exploitation because of its stro ng erosion ability.The analysis of the relationship between the flow characteristics and the structure of cavitating jet nozzle is critical.Here,we utilized 3 D printed technology and high-speed photography to design Visualization experime nts to analyse the impact of the variation of resonator and throat size of the organ-pipe self-resonating cavitating nozzles on the cavitation characteristics through image processing.The velocity field,pressure field and vapor volume fraction injected by the nozzle were taken as the objective functions to study the influence of different structural parameters on the cavitation effect based on FLUENT 19.0 software,and the results were compared with the experimental results.The results show that increasing the length and diameter of the resonator contributes to the occurrence of cavitation and the structure stability of the flow field.However,excessive size affects self-resonant of the nozzle and makes it difficult to form resonance effect.In this study,the optimal values of nozzle throat length and divergent angle are twice the throat diameter and 40°,respectively.This research provides an integrated research method to study the optimization of self-resonating nozzle and cavitating jet characteristics.

NetPrune:A sparklines Visualization for network pruning

Current deep learning approaches are cutting-edge methods for solving classification tasks.Arising transfer learning techniques allows applying large generic model to simple tasks whereas simpler models could be used.Large models raise the major problem of their memory consumption and processor usage and lead to a prohibitive ecological footprint.In that paper,we present a novel visual analytics approach to interactively prune those networks and thus limit that issue.Our technique leverages a novel sparkline matrix Visualization technique as well as a novel local metric which evaluates the discriminatory power of a filter to guide the pruning process and make it interpretable.We assess the well-founded of our approach through two realistic case studies and a user study.For both of them,the interactive refinement of the model led to a significantly smaller model having similar prediction accuracy than the original one.

Visualization for Explanation of Deep Learning-Based Defect Detection Model Using Class Activation Map

Recently,convolutional neural network(CNN)-based visual inspec-tion has been developed to detect defects on building surfaces automatically.The CNN model demonstrates remarkable accuracy in image data analysis;however,the predicted results have uncertainty in providing accurate informa-tion to users because of the“black box”problem in the deep learning model.Therefore,this study proposes a visual explanation method to overcome the uncertainty limitation of CNN-based defect identification.The visual repre-sentative gradient-weights class activation mapping(Grad-CAM)method is adopted to provide visually explainable information.A visualizing evaluation index is proposed to quantitatively analyze visual representations;this index reflects a rough estimate of the concordance rate between the visualized heat map and intended defects.In addition,an ablation study,adopting three-branch combinations with the VGG16,is implemented to identify perfor-mance variations by visualizing predicted results.Experiments reveal that the proposed model,combined with hybrid pooling,batch normalization,and multi-attention modules,achieves the best performance with an accuracy of 97.77%,corresponding to an improvement of 2.49%compared with the baseline model.Consequently,this study demonstrates that reliable results from an automatic defect classification model can be provided to an inspector through the visual representation of the predicted results using CNN models.
