Recent studies have shown that global translational reprogramming is an early activation event in pattern-triggered immunity,when plants recognize microbe-associated molecular ***,it is not fully known whether translational regulation also occurs in subsequent immune responses,such as effector-triggered immunity(ETI).In this study,we performed genome-wide ribosome profiling in Arabidopsis upon RPS2-mediated ETI activation and discovered that specific groups of genes were translationally regulated,mostly in coordination with *** genes encode enzymes involved in aromatic amino acid,phenylpropanoid,camalexin,and sphingolipid *** functional significance of these components in ETI was confirmed by genetic and biochemical *** findings provide new insights into diverse translational regulation of plant immune responses and demonstrate that translational coordination of metabolic gene expression is an important strategy for ETI.

Cinnamon, is an exotic spice and a major constituent of our food which is commonly used in different areas of the world for the treatment of various diseases (Kawatra et al., 2015). Besides 让s anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and anti-cancer properties, cinnamon also exerts strong brain protective and pro-cogrdtive effects in various models of neurodegeneration (Kawatra et al., 2015;Kelestemur et al., 2016)(Figure 1).

Neuroimmune system may be involved in the pathological process of bipolar disorder(BD),but the essential association is not fully *** evidence has shown that BD involves the activation of immune cells and the release of inflammatory substances in the central nerve system(CNS).Meanwhile,neuroimmune responses also interact with other hypothesis of the etiology of BD that are widely recognized,such as neurotransmitter systems,neuroendocrine systems,neurotrophic factors,and oxidative ***,related genes and immune changes in peripheral blood vary with ***,neuroimmunity may play an important role in the pathogenesis of BD,and the inflammatory cytokines,especially interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-alpha,have potential value for the clinical diagnosis and prognosis of BD,as well as predicting the therapeutic effects of ***-scale studies are needed to extend the evidence on neuroimmunity in BD,and to examine its clinical value for applications such as early prediction and treatment.

SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein Post-translational Modification Landscape and Its Impact on Protein Structure and Function via Computational Prediction

To elucidate the role of post-translational modifications(PTMs)in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)spike protein’s structure and virulence,we generated a high-resolution map of 87 PTMs using liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry data on the extracted spike protein from SARS-CoV-2 virions and then reconstituted its structure heterogeneity caused by ***,Alphafold2,a high-accuracy artificial intelligence tool to perform protein structure prediction,relies solely on primary amino acid sequence,whereas the impact of PTM,which often modulates critical protein structure and function,is much *** overcome this challenge,we proposed the mutagenesis approach—an in silico,site-directed amino acid substitution to mimic the influence of PTMs on protein structure due to altered physicochemical properties in the post-translationally modified amino acids—and then reconstituted the spike protein’s structure from the substituted sequences by *** the first time,the proposed method revealed predicted protein structures resulting from PTMs,a problem that Alphafold2 has yet to *** an example,we performed computational analyses of the interaction of the post-translationally modified spike protein with its host factors such as angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 to illuminate binding ***,this study suggested the structural analysis of post-translationally modified protein via mutagenesis and deep *** summarize,the reconstructed spike protein structures showed that specific PTMs can be used to modulate host factor binding,guide antibody design,and pave the way for new therapeutic *** code and Supplementary Materials are freely available at https://***/LTZHKUSTGZ/SARS-CoV-2-spike-protein-PTM.

Photofragment translational spectroscopy of iodobenzene at 266 nm

The photofragmentation of C6H5] at 266 nm is investigated on the nuiversal crossed molecular beam ma-chine, and the translational spectroscopy as well as the angular distribution of I atom is measured. The results reveal that under the laser intensity of 108 W/cm2 the single-photon dissociation competes with multi-photon processes. In singlephoton dissociation the anisotropy parameter β is 0.4 and the average translational energy is only 1.04 kcal/mol, which indicates that this process is a slow predissociation. In two-photon photofragmentation the average translational energy is 51.64 kcal/mol, which accounts for about 35% of the available energy. Another photofragmentation channel is even more faster, whose peak in time-of-flight spectra corresponds to four or five photon absorptions. The branching ratio of these three channels is determined to be about 3:3:4.

More and more in-depth studies have revealed that the occurrente and development of tumors depend on gene mutation and tumor *** most important manifestation of tumor heterogeneity is the dynamic change of tumor microenvironment(TME)*** depends not only on the tumor cells themselves in the microenvironment where the infiltrating immune cells and matrix together forming an antitumor and/or pro-tumor *** has resulted in novel therapeutic in terve ntions as a place beyond tumor *** malig nant can cer cells,tumor in filtrate immune cells,angiogenic vascular cells,lymphatic endothelial cells,cancer-associated fibroblastic cells,and the released factors including intracellular metabolites,hormonal signals and inflammatory mediators all contribute actively to cancer *** post-translational modification(PTM)is often regarded as a degradative mechanism in protein destruction or turnover to maintain physiological *** in quantitative transcriptomics,proteomics,and nuclease-based gene editing are now paving the global ways for exploring *** this review,we focus on recent developments in the PTM area and speculate on their importanee as a critical functional readout for the regulation of TME.A wealth of information has been emerging to prove useful in the search for conventional therapies and the development of global therapeutic strategies.

Mechanism of regulating the expression of λN gene by ribosomal protein at translational level

In ribosomal protein S12 mutant or L24 mutant the expression of λΝ gene was depressed at translational level. To study its mechanism the λΝ gene region of λΝ lacZ gene fusion was trimmed from its 5′ end to 3′ end with DNA exonuclease III (DNA exoIII) in order to alter the TIR (translational initiation region) and the coding region of λΝ gene. After DNA sequencing 23 species of different λΝ lacZ fused genes were obtained. The β galactosidase activities of these deletants in ribosomal protein mutant were compared with that in wild type strain. The result indicated that (i) S12 mutant could affect 30S subunit’s binding to the TIR of λΝ gene messenger and cause the difficulty in forming 30S initiation complex and then decrease the efficiency of translational initiation; (ii) in S12 mutant the coding region of λΝ gene also affected the expression of λΝ gene; (iii) in L24 mutant the inhibition of λΝ gene expression was not related to translational initiation and the 5′ end of the coding region of λN gene, but related to the 3′ end of λΝ gene.
