The coordinated evolution of ecological environment,public service,and tourism economy along the silk road economic belt,using the Dual-Carbon Targets

Carbon peak and carbon neutrality(dual-carbon)are important targets for the international response to climate *** silk road economic belt is a strategic resource region and is important for future ecological environment and tourism *** on the“dual-carbon”targets,the Single index quantification,Multiple index synthesis,and Poly-criteria integration evaluation model were used in this study to measure the coordinated development index of the ecological environment,public service,and tourism economy along the silk road economic belt and to analyze its spatial and temporal ***,it explores the dynamic evolution and development trend of the three systems using the Kernel Density and Grey Markov Prediction *** results show that the coordinated development index along this region needs to be improved during the study ***,the coordinated development index of the Southwest region is relatively higher than that of the Northwest *** the development trend of the three systems,all of them develop in a stable manner;however,the tourism economy system is easily affected by external *** coordinated development index of the three systems changes dynamically and tends to be in a good state of *** is a certain spatial and temporal *** gravity center of the coordinated development index has been in the Southwest *** the forecast period,the coordinated development index along this region will improve significantly,while insufficient and unbalanced development will continue.

China-Russia-India The BRICS Countries in Eurasia Are the Key Factors in the Construction of the silk road economic belt

China is the starting point and pioneer and driver of the silk road economic belt; Russia is located in the throat place of the belt; and India is at the joint of the belt and the Maritime silk road. China, Russia, and India as the BRICS countries are geo-connected, easy to reach a consensus because of their common and similar interests. The three countries also have common inherent demands and strategic directions： connectivity, complementarity, taking advantage of the great powers of Eurasia and sea-land compound, moving toward the grand trend of modern international economy and technology development. Promoting the construction of the silk road economic belt accords with their respective interests, and is their common interests, which decide that China, Russia, and India are the key factors and dominant forces in the construction of the belt.

Strategy of Xinjiang-Central Asia Energy Cooperation in silk road economic belt

The silk road economic belt is the updated version of regional economy and trade cooperation. It focuses on cooperation and development in energy, providing broad connotation and denotation and space for XinjiangCentral Asia to cooperate with each other in energy. Although it has bright prospect, the energy cooperation will still be restricted by the complex environment of Central Asia and the internal factors of Xinjiang, such as its unique economic model and industrial structure. Thus, in order to realize mutually beneficial cooperation, which is the common target of silk road economic belt, Xinjiang and Central Asia need to strengthen energy dialogue and expand the energy diplomacy, promote the construction process of Xinjiang energy strategy base, establish and perfect the information platform of Central Asia energy cooperation.

Path Selection of Xi＇an Free Trade Area Construction under the Strategy of silk road economic belt

From the present situation of worldwide flee-trade area and the new trend of reform and opening in China after 18 of the fifth plenary session, you can see that in domestic, the construction and development of free-trade area, taking regional core city as center, is economy transformation means under new normal economic environment, and new clues to improve the level of reform and opening. The establishments of free trade Area in Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, Fujian provided references for establishing a free trade area of xi ＇ an under the background of the silk road economic belt construction. This article firstly analyzes the present domestic and foreign research situation and development trend; and then put forward the necessity of building Xi＇ an free trade area. Then discusses the Xi＇ an silk road economic belt free trade area construction strategy. Finally, in combination with the practical situation of Xi＇ an, it proposes path selection of Xi＇ an free trade area construction under the strategy of silk road economic belt.

The silk road economic belt and Green Growth in the East of Russia

The silk road economic belt （SREB） opens new development opportunities for Russia in general, and its Eastern regions in particular, via larger-scale and multi-level international cooperation. The eastern regions of Russia, rich in natural resources, have traditionally focused on resource extraction. In the context of the SREB, the issues of environmental security in Eastern Russia come to the fore. Here, we propose tools for ＇diagnosis＇ if a chosen path of regional economic development proceeds according to the concept of a green economy. We use different indicators based on eco-intensity. We determine ecological-economic development trends in the Eastern border regions of Russia at the initial stage of the silk road economic belt formation to serve as a starting point and guideline for development processes within the SREB. If cooperation is directed to implementing the best Chinese production chains, significant improvements in the quality of economic growth in Russia will be achieved.

Traffic Patterns in the silk road economic belt and Construction Modes for a Traffic economic belt across Continental Plates

Plans for the silk road economic belt （SREB） include construction of two axes, two belts and two radiated areas. As a significant national strategy for China, the emphasis is on the construction of roads and achieving economic agglomeration and radiation through the construction of traffic axes. Using published literature and data analyses, this paper studied current traffic patterns between China and other regions within the SREB from the perspective of rail, ocean and air transportation. With regard to existing problems and development prospects of these three types of transportation, we propose construction modes for the traffic economic belt across continental plates and that future construction within the SREB should consider key cities as joints and arterial traffic lines as development axes, promote connecting of joints by lines, advance deep construction through joints and axes, connect lines into net, and develop informationalized traffic economic belt on the basis of trans-regional cooperation.

Comprehensive urbanization level and its dynamic factors for five Central Asian countries

In the context of accelerated development of the silk road economic belt,it is necessary to conduct in-depth research on urbanization of Central Asian *** paper analyzes the spatial and temporal patterns and evolution dynamics of urbanization during the period 1991-2017 from the perspective of internal-external *** results are as follows.(1)The urbanization process of the five Central Asian countries studied is significantly influenced by their political and economic situations and displays periodic *** five countries experienced a stagnation development stage at the beginning of independence,and then a rapid growth stage since the year *** average annual growth rates of the two stages were 0.19% and 1.45%,respectively.(2)Differences in the urbanization of the studied countries are obvious,and the evolutionary characteristics of each subsystem of urbanization are *** is therefore necessary to distinguish and clearly understand the urbanization process of each country.(3)Internal and external factors play a role in the urbanization processes of Central Asian *** railway transportation facilities are particularly important for the development of urbanization in these *** regression coefficients of railway construction length,total merchandise trade and actually utilized foreign capital are 0.5665,0.0937 and 0.0806,respectively.(4)Countries with smaller populations and economic scales need to engage in international cooperation to promote healthy development of *** results of the study indicate that internal and external factors work together in the urbanization process of Central Asian countries,and external forces are particularly important for the development of such urbanization.

The silk road economic belt and the 21st-Century Maritime silk road(B&R)aims at facilitating the twenty-first Century economic development of ***,climate change,air quality and related feedbacks are affecting the successful development of the environment and societies in the B&R geographical *** most urgent risks related to the atmospheric system,to the land system and to hydrospheric and cryospheric processes are changing climate-air quality interactions,air pollution,changing monsoon dynamics,land degradation,and the melting of Tibetan Plateau glaciers.A framework is needed in which a science and technology-based approach has the critical mass and expertise to identify the main steps toward solutions and is capable to implement this *** Pan-Eurasian Experiment(PEEX)program,initiated in 2012,aims to resolve science,technology and sustainability questions in the Northern Eurasian *** is now identifying its science agenda for the B&R *** fundamental element of the PEEX research agenda is the availability of comprehensive ground-based observations together with Earth observation *** complements the recently launched international scientific program called Digital belt and road(DBAR).PEEX has expertise to coordinate the ground-based observations and initiate new flagship stations,while DBAR provides a big data platform on Earth observation from China and countries along the belt and road *** DBAR and PEEX have joint interests and synergy expertise on monitoring on ecological environment,urbanization,cultural heritages,coastal zones,and arctic cold regions supporting the sustainable development of the belt and road *** this paper we identify the research themes of the PEEX related silk road agenda relevant to China and give an overview of the methodological requirements and present the infrastructure requirements needed to carry out large scale research program.

Potential risks and challenges of climate change in the arid region of northwestern China

In the arid region of northwestern China(ARNC),water resources are the most critical factor restricting socioeconomic development and influencing the stability of the area’s ecological *** region’s complex water system and unique hydrological cycle show distinctive ***,the intensified hydrological cycle and extreme climatic and hydrological events resulting from global warming have led to increased uncertainty around water resources as well as heightened conflict between water supply and water *** of these factors are exerting growing pressures on the socioeconomic development and vulnerable ecological environment in the *** research evaluates the impacts of climate change on water resources,hydrological processes,agricultural system,and desert ecosystems in the ARNC,and addresses some associated risks and challenges specific to this *** temperature is rising at a rate of 0.31C per decade during 1961–2017 and hydrological processes are being significantly influenced by changes in glaciers,snow cover,and precipitation form,especially in the rivers recharged primarily by melt *** are also largely influenced by climate change,with the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)of natural vegetation exhibited an increasing trend prior to 1998,and then reversed in Xinjiang while the Hexi Corridor of Gansu showed the opposite ***,the desert-oasis transition zone showed a reduction in area due to the warming trend and the recent rapid expansion of irrigated *** the warming and intensified drought are threatening agriculture *** present study could shed light on sustainable development in this region under climate change and provides scientific basis to the construction of the“silk road economic belt”.
