Two fluoride sulfates,K_(2)Mn_(3)(SO_(4))_(3)F_(2)·4H_(2)O(Ⅰ) and Rb_(2)Mn_(3)(SO_(4))_(3)F_(2)·2H_(2)O (Ⅱ) are obtained by water solution ***-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that they crystallize in space groups of Cmc2_(1.)Their structures feature a pseudo-KTP structure consisting of interconnecting[Mn_(3)(SO_(4))3F_(2)(H_(2)O)2]_(∞) layers,which are further packing along the a axis with alkali metal cations balancing the *** structure relationships between the two compounds are *** generation measurements manifest that Ⅰ and Ⅱ have similar second-harmonic generation responses of about 0.2 and 0.25 times that of KH_(2)PO_(4).

Owing to the diversity of structure and potential applications in the field of electrics,sensors,and light-emitting diodes,lead halide perovskites have attracted great attention in recent *** those lead halide perovskites with non-centrosymmetric crystal structures usually exhibit nonlinear optical(NLO) characteristics,which may endow them photoelectricity switching *** this work,a lead-based hybrid organic-inorganic perovskite(HOIP) material,trimethyliodomethylammonium lead trichloride(TMIM·PbCl_(3)),is obtained on the basis of tetramethylammonium lead chloride through halogen substitution on the cation *** shows dual-phase-transition behavior around 345 and 358 K, which is significantly ***·PbCl_(3)crystallizes in the chiral space group,P2_(1)2_(1)2_(1), and shows a welldefined second harmonic generation(SHG) response,and good switching endurance,which makes it an excellent candidate for SHG switching *** work highlights the importance of halogen substitution for crystal engineering and may pave way for the further exploration of the optoelectronic devices.

A method of precisely calculating the external applied voltage and the optimum type-Ⅱ phase matching angles for KTP crystal, which is used as both an intracavity electro-optic （EO） Q-switch and a frequency doubler, is presented. The effective EO coefficient along the phase-matching direction is defined to calculate the half-wave voltage and the quarter-wave voltage, and the precise calculation for the phase matching angles in the condition of KTP crystal optimum second harmonic phase matching is theoretically realized.

Using regeneratively mode-locking technology the harmonically modelocked fiber ring laser could work without pulse dropout at room temperature when no cavity length or polarization maintaining mechanism is available. Applying only one 980-nm laser diode pump the average output power reaches more than 4 mW.

A 10-GHz soliton source with pulse duration between 4-8 ps and wavelength continuously tunable from 1530 nm to 1563 nm is presented. Optical second harmonic generation has been observed in surface crystallized but transpeent binary BaO-B2O3 and ternary BaO-B2O3-0. 1Al2O3 glasses using a Q -switched Nd:YAG laser. The only crystalline phase formed under controlled heat treatment of the base glass was β -BaB2O4 and preferred a -axis orientation of β -BaB2O4 fine grains was noticed. The glass surface crystallized layer is about 2μm in thickness and most grain size is less than 0. 3 μm.

Structure and properties of Li-rich Zn-doped LiNbO_3 Crystal

The Li-rich Zn-doped LiNbO 3 (LN) crystals were grown by the Czochralski method. The structure of the crystals was measured by ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra. The results indicated that the Li-rich Zn-doped LN crystals had the same characteristics as the pure LN crystal. After Zn 2+ entered into the lattice of Li-rich Zn-doped LN crystal, it replaced Nb Li firstly. When there was no Nb Li , Zn 2+ replaced Li + then. The second harmonic generation (SHG) property of Li-rich Zn-doped LiNbO 3 crystal was measured. The results showed that the SHG conversation efficiency of Li-rich Zn-doped LiNbO 3 crystals was higher than that of Zn-doped LiNbO 3 crystals.

A simple and compact linear resonator green laser at 532 nm is generated by intracavity frequencydoubling of a diode-side-pumped acousto-optically（AO）Q-switched Nd：YAG laser at 1064 *** acoustooptic Q-switches were placed orthogonally with each other to improve the hold-off *** high as 214 W of continuous-wave（CW）and 154 W of quasi-continuous-wave（QCW）output power at 1064 nm were obtained when the pumping power was 1598 *** type I phase-matched BBO crystal was used as the nonlinear medium in the second harmonic generation.A green laser with an average output power of 37 W was obtained at a repetition rate of 20 kHz and a pulse width of 54 ns,which corresponds to pulse energy of 1.85 mJ per pulse and a peak power34.26 kW,respectively.
