This paper investigates the problem of output tracking for a class of nonlinear uncertain systems in strict feedback form. By utilizing the nonlinear filters with a common compensator, a robust adaptive control scheme is proposed via dynamic surface approach. Compared with the existing results in the literature, the proposed control scheme not only avoids the issue of "explosion of complexity" in the recursive procedure, but also eliminates the effects raised by boundary layer errors. Finally, a numerical example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.

control of networked discrete-event systems is important because many engineering systems are now connected via shared communication networks where communication delays and losses are unavoidable. In this paper, we investigated robust control of such systems, which is useful when the exact model of the plant is unknown or when one supervisor is designed to control many different but similar plants. We consider nondeterministic control, where the language generated by the closed-loop system is not unique. We use predictive control that takes control delays and losses into consideration. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of predictive supervisors are derived. Examples are given to illustrate the results.

＜正＞This paper considers the delay-dependent stabilization and robust output feedback control for a class of fuzzy systems with multiple delays and persistent bounded *** defining new Lyapunov functions and introducing some integral inequalities,a new method of controller design is proposed in terms of the linear matrix inequalities,and then the given robust performance is optimized by the iteration *** method can efficiently attenuate the peak of the persistent bounded disturbances and the initial conditions,and will be more appealing in some practical applications.

With this point, a new controller design method is given for robust control problems under both plant and controller perturbations, and some relations between quadratic stability and structured singular value synthesis theory are established. In addition, robust control problems with mixed uncertainties can be considered similarly.

Simulation with the practical data proves the integrated robust tension controller can achieve more robust performance than that of typical industrial approach.

The robust control design in a class of structural vibration systems is considered in this paper. The aim is to design a state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system has the desired eigenvalues with minimum sensitivities with respect to system parameter perturbations. By utilizing a result of parametric eigenstructure assignment via state feedback, this robust control problem is changed into an optimal problem with some constraints and an algorithm for this optimization problem is established. This algorithm offers a parametric expression for the eigenvalue sensitivity index and utilizes directly the data of the original system, thus it is convenient to use in engineering applications. An example about three degrees of freedom shear structure system under vibration excitation is analyzed by using the proposed algorithm and the corresponding simulation results show the effectiveness of this algorithm.

This paper presents the design of a robust control system for a high-purity distillation column. It is concerned with the design of a two degree-of-freedom (2DOF) product-composition controller for a high-purity distillation column. The H∞ optimization problem is set up to ensure a guaranteed level of robust stability, robust disturbance attenuation and robust reference tracking performance.

A Switching Method for a Model Reference robust control with Unknown High Frequency Gain Sign

The problem of controlling a single-input-single-output plant without prior knowledge of high frequency gain sign is addressed by using the model reference robust control approach.A switching method is proposed based on a monitoring function so that after a finite number of swi- tchings the tracking error converges to zero ***,it is shown that if some initial states of the closed-loop system are zero,only one switching is needed.
